Faye is absolutely incredible! Very last minute we needed a dog sitter for our two pups while we were traveling to the area for a wedding. She welcomed our furbabies with open arms and an open heart! She sent us lots of messages and photos to ease our minds, after all we had just left our babies with a stranger. I knew right away from speaking with her though that it was a safe and good choice. When we picked the dogs up they were excited to see us, but definitely didn't seem like they were anxious to leave Faye and the other dogs. Faye is a life saver. Second day with our new baby we realized we didn't have a plan for the coming work week. We frantically called pet sitters but our pup was too young for them to accept him. Our only option was to get a pit sitter to come home. Faye offered to come over twice a day for half an hour to walk our boy out, play with him and feed him. She came over to our place promptly that very evening to introduce herself and meet us. We, and more importantly, our pup, were immediately comfortable with her. We had no hesitation in hiring her for two weeks of pet sitting at home. She would come once in the morning and once in the afternoon, let herself in and take care of the pup for half an hour. We came to San Jose for a weekend in December to go to a concert. We needed a dog sitter to watch our senior/blind dog and his 8 year old bff, both of whom are pretty imprinted to our little pack and anxious to be separated from us. Faye was willing to watch them in her home, despite it being a fairly last minute call, and despite the odd times we needed them watched, due to the concert. She gave them a comfortable place where they felt safe and quiet. (The alternative would have been leaving them in the hotel room where they would have been an anxious mess!) Faye was very friendly, calm with our nervous pets, and very clear on what she would do for them, what would happen if something went wrong, etc., etc. She was great! We were further set at ease by getting to see the other dogs boarding with her. They were fenced into a separate space, so all dogs felt safe and secure -- but she had another blind pup there. What better assurance that she was attuned to our dog's special needs than us actually being able to see another one that she was caring for. We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with Faye, and would do so again in a heartbeat. read more

If you need to board your dog or dogs Buddy's Choice is the best place for you and your dog. I was going out of town and needed to find a safe place for my dogs who had never been boarded before. I heard about Buddy's Choice through a friend and I'm so glad that I did. Faye is the owner and she is wonderful. I told her how afraid I was to board my dogs and she assured me that she would let me know immediately if there was a problem. We brought our dogs over for an hour to see how they would react to the other dogs. It went well so out of town I went. Not only were my dogs walked 3 times a day but Faye sent me pictures and updates everyday. One of my dogs is a tea cup chihuahua and was the smallest in the group of dogs and is afraid of everything. So Faye put him a baby carrier and a stroller to make sure he felt safe. The dogs aren't separated in cages or sleeping on a cold cement floor. They are in a very nice home with a beautiful yard and a lot of love. The fees are very comparable to other boarding facilities, but honestly I didn't care about the $$ because I knew they were in good hands!
