Buddy is dawned with yellow blue decor with lots of options to sit inside or outside! Service was good and fast. Burgers come out on decent time from placing order . Best smash burger ever! This place is incredible. Stopped by for lunch on the drive home from SC and had the lil buddy and fries, and both were excellent. Great service too. You order at the counter and someone brings out your food. They came outside a few times checking on the tables to see they needed anything. read more

Wow. What a pleasant surprise. While passing through Florence, we were searching for a family friendly restaurant in the area. We found this place online and decided to give it a try based upon the positive reviews. There was plenty of parking in the lot. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The young lady that took our order was also patient. We ordered smash burgers and a side of the potatoes + a chocolate milk shake. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The second I walked in the service girl (named Maddy; who was supper kind, super nice, and extremely memorable) actually remembered my name from months before when I had visited with my mother. We quite literally ran through town and found this place from the road. We were able to order online, walk in and find the food ready to go, and enjoyed it while continuing our journey south. We got a salad with a black bean patty, the steak fries with cheese sauce (not recommended for on the road), and two burgers. The food was great though the gluten free bread for my burger fell apart the second after I picked it up. The location is right next to a coffee shop and a park. I wish we could've stayed to enjoy those but we had somewhere to be. Overall, highly recommend! read more

Buddy's Burgers is a hidden gem in the Florence food scene. Their smash burgers are phenomenal. Steak chips are unique and not something that is duplicated from other restaurants. Stopped to take a quick hike on my way to Florida from nj. Stumble upon Buddy's at end of trail. Super cute place and decide to check it out. Thrilled to see cashier wearing Eagles gear and had a wonderful convo with her and other staff. Saw perogies available to go frozen which they arranged for me with ice to go. Cooked them up at home and they were amazing!! As good as my grandmother used to make. Will be stopping by again when I head back to Jersey!! read more

I ordered two hotdog. The chili was delicious. The hotdog was cooked very well. The onions were delicious. They were perfectly sautéed. It was the hotdog were excellent in the the cut ships were perfect too. I really enjoyed what I ordered. The guys seem like they're really working hard in the kitchen to make things great and I noticed that when I came in.. I didn't like the cashier though. I thought she was very insolent. The reason I didn't give it five stars because of her.. I think management should consider replacing that cashier with someone who's actually more friendlier. I happened to come across a Yelp review of this establishment and wondered where it was, turns out it is in Florence. At time of this review we have lived in city for a year and never heard or seen the restaurant. It is beside the Bean Bar coffee shop, there is a tiny, circle, yellow sign that says Buddy's. Needless to say they to improve their visibility marketing because I doubt half the city even know they exist. It is a small eatery w minimal seating, the menu is posted on wall. I purchased Lil Buddy & side order of black bean patti. The burger was a thinner beef patti, buddy sauce, sautéed onions and brioche bun, tasty. Bean patti was equally as satisfying; pricing is reasonable. Perhaps think of installing signage visible from W Palmetto St that introduce public to Buddy's, good burger. read more

Just left Buddy's and it was nothing less than a five star experience, especially the service, which was friendly, quick and top of the line. I ordered the double and added a patty, because I believe too much is never enough. Very fresh, great presentation and tasty. Nothing cheap or second class here - just a quality smash burger. Also, music was on, but not crazy loud, and I thought the place looked really chill and clean. The fries/chips were good and I give kudos for the effort, but I'm a purist and love a good stack of steaming shoestrings. Didn't take a notch off of my review, however. I love their smash burgers. Not many Smash burgers, I think compare to my own. These are pretty good. I love the fries. I do ask for them to be crispy. If not, they are not as good. They could do better on the sauce, but it is pretty good. It is the best smash burger in Florence that I have had. I wish they offered a chicken sandwich all the time. It's only because my wife doesn't eat red meat. I know it is a burger place, but oddly they feature a fish sandwich and not a chicken sandwich. The fish sandwich does look amazing. read more
