They re-reviewed my case, felt bad that I had such a bad experience and changed everything with one phone call. They are scheduling to replace the battery and get me on my merry way. This is a Greentec Christmas miracle. Thank you Greentec. I look forward to the call from your service department to schedule this swap out. I have purchased 2 batteries for a 2012 Chevy Volt. During the first battery replacement my vehicle was vandalized in their parking area. I was called by Green Tech Auto and asked if I had insurance. I responded that because they had taken possession of my vehicle and because they were a business, they were going to need to use their own insurance. They replaced my tires and rims with used rims. The first battery had an 18 month warranty. At around 20 months, the battery showed a failure error. They suggested complete replacement and suggested that people often get 5-7 years on a battery. I purchased a complete new battery and install with an 18 month warranty. We are at about 22 months and the battery is no longer charging. Green Tech Auto suggested a new battery and replacement. They offered a small discount that was $1500 over what I paid the previous time. Once again I didn't get 5-7 years. I know that the warranty period had past. I had hoped for more on both of my battery installs. I don't think I will be going back for a third time. Just for reference my first battery and install was about 5K. My second battery and install was about $3000. The estimate for the possible third was $4500. During the second battery reinstall I was asked by Green Tech if I wanted to sell them my car for $500. I am not typically this whiny, but spending $9000 on batteries for a used car that I purchased for $7500 does not make any sense. I had hoped to get 4-5 years out of a full battery replacement. This would have made sense to me. What do I hope for from Green Tech? I would hope that they would realize that I was a repeat customer that had spent nearly $10,000. I would hope that they could take a closer look at the battery that they built for me, evaluate why it might have failed. If this failure could be due to some issue that they could have done better, like create a better battery that might last more than 20 months. If they felt any guilt on burning me twice they might put a new battery in for this repeat customer.

This was 8:30 at night already, so not many places were still open. I don't know the first thing about replacing a headlight, so I had to hope I could find somewhere both still open and with someone willing to install it for me. To make things worse, a drizzly snow/rain mix was just starting to come down. I'm so glad I stopped here. One of their employees, named Dan, went way far out of his way -- in the dark, in freezing rain conditions, at the last minute and past the official store closing time, fiddling with a temperamental part of the headlight assembly that didn't want to go back together, and while recovering from a rotator cuff injury! -- to replace my headlight and get me on my way. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. I will definitely stop at this particular store on my way to and from Kansas City for any future auto parts needs.
