We had an attempted break in to our residence. The result was a broken outer window pane of a double pane window. I called a company in my area (Rancho Bernardo) to get a quotation for repair. Their quote was $525. After choking a bit, I decided to get additional quotes. Budget Glass Plus was one of the companies. Donnell and an apprentice Trennell from Budget Glass Plus set an appointment the next morning to come out and provide a quote. He arrived on time and was extremely professional and polite. Donnell did the measurements and quoted $387. Two additional companies provided quotes. One showed up an hour later than promised and another set an appointment, called 15 minutes after the appointment and said he was really busy and could I measure the window and he would provide a quote over the phone without coming o it. I chose Budget Glass Plus because of my comfort level with Donnell, his professional, pleasant demeanor and willingness to take the time to explain the process and what product he would install. Donnell said it would take a few days to have the panel made and he would call when he received it to install. As promised, Donnell called in four days and installed the pane that day. His installation was quick, clean and professional. Donnell and Trennell were awesome. Took care when removing and installing the new glass to not damage anything and cleaned up everything upon completion. New window and saved a lot of money. Professional, caring, quick response and best of all, very easy going and friendly. If I could rate just the service - replacing the glass in a window, I would give it 5 stars. The guys who did the pre-work and the replacement work were excellent, on time, and professional. Unfortunately, the operations/office/scheduling were terrible, no call backs as promised, indefinite delays with no communication. After reading the rave reviews, I called right away with high hopes. I think I caught the person at a bad time, the voice on the other end wasn't exactly friendly, but very matter of fact. Okay with me, I just realized I was calling after hours and he was picking up, so understandable. I told him I have one window that needed repair, gave measurements and then I was very promptly quoted the replacement would be over $700 dollars, for one window! The same day I got another quote from another company that actually came out to measure and quoted around $100 less! Most of the reviews said this was the best price in town. Not so for me. "Budget" glass this is not! Thinking maybe I just wasn't worth their time for one window so he quoted me high to get rid of me?.... Not sure. Not only did Budget Glass Plus beat the competitors prices, they did an excellent job mirroring a whole wall. I didn't know how complicated it was to do this. I have an old house (1926) and the walls are lath and plaster and not the straightest. But they measured carefully using lasers and I don't think you could slide a piece of paper in the seams.
