Recently had Dan to my residence in Carlsbad to troubleshoot 30 year old rotten wood on side porch and backyard fence. After deconstructing much of the wood in both, we determined the piece repair was not going to work. He along with another great carpenter rebuilt the most beautiful porch and fencing. Kenny came out to replace an exterior side door. The bottom of the door and bottom several inches of the frame on either side were rotten from decades of winter weather and the past couple years of heavy rain. The door was original to the house and had not been properly installed: no moisture barrier between the frame and the wall cutout, no sill at the base of the door to prevent water from leaking underneath, etc. Kenny fixed all that, even installing a metal door instead of the standard wood to increase its durability in its exposed position. Kenny was experienced, personable, and polite, and left the work site as clean as he had found it. They might not be the lowest priced option, but, if you care about a job done well, they are worth it. We are very satisfied with the results. read more

I submitted a quote request form via Yelp to see if a handyman could install 20 31"x 31" mirrors on a 15' wall and he responded really quickly and was able to schedule a time to install within a few days. Some of my mirrors arrived late and he was even able to come back out the next week and finish installing them. I felt his pricing was fair and reasonable for the job and was on target for his original quote (he even hung a few extra mirrors for me on other walls and fixed a cabinet door for me while he was here!). He took his time, measured and drew everything out before hanging, and nailed the spacing of 2" apart perfectly. I really appreciate his desire to get them hung right! Dan was great at communicating with me about replacing my kitchen sink faucet and even texted me when he was on his way. (He was right on time!) While preparing for the installation, he discovered that the brand new faucet was flawed. He and his assistant jumped in his truck, returned it to Home Depot and was back with a new one in short time. Once he had the new faucet, it was short work for him to install even though it was a bit of a tricky installation with all we have 'going' under our sink.
