Initially, a helpful lady at ProGranite Surfaces described where to see the slabs and even made recommendations on which warehouse to visit. We selected three stunning quartzite slabs, and my wife returned to ProGranite Surfaces LLC with the paperwork to discuss our choice and get a quote. Unfortunately, our experience there was disappointing. The customer service representative not only overpriced the stone--quoting us an astonishing $80,000 including installation--but also treated my wife in a manner that was far from professional or courteous. He made assumptions without proper communication and did not demonstrate the level of respect we expected. While I don't blame the company as a whole, it's clear that individual actions can deeply impact a business's reputation. I hope the management pays attention to who represents their company on the front lines. Feeling discouraged, my wife turned to Google and found Custom Touch Granite LLC. We chose ABS primarily because of two key solutions Vinson proposed: one was to reuse two hardwood pantry pullouts from our original cabinets, and the other was to remove the soffit above the existing cabinets, extend the new cabinets all the way to the ceiling, and hide the exhaust duct inside the cabinetry, which resulted in a very clean and attractive look. Construction started after Thanksgiving. Despite the cold, windy, and rainy weather, Vinson's team was always punctual and highly professional. They paid great attention to detail, including excellent dust control during the demolition of the old cabinets. Our house is relatively old and was renovated in the 1970s, so the floors and walls are not very level. The team handled these challenges very well. Vinson also provided helpful and professional advice regarding replacing the aluminum wiring connected to the electric oven with copper wiring, which gave us greater peace of mind regarding safety.

I came in with a design and Mica's attention to detail caught a couple of dimension errors that would have caused me problems at the install. I was so thankful she found them before we got too far along to fix it. Unfortunately, I was already signed up with a different contractor to install the cabinets as part of a larger project so, I was not able to have ABS install the cabinets. I regret this. My contractors were not as skilled as Vinson. Thankfully, he was kind enough to make himself available, on a number of occasions, to give input to ensure that the cabinets could be installed correctly and look their best. I really appreciate his professional attitude. The cabinets are well made and beautiful. ABS's quartz fabricator, Kenny, was very skilled. I was concerned about the placement of the faucet centering on my kitchen window and he was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. Also, the countertops were installed so well you can barely see the seam in the quartz. It would have to be pointed out to you. I can't say enough good things about this place. Alex was able to come by to give us a quote quickly and offered a reasonable estimate. We've had issues with untrustworthy contractors and were cautious when getting quotes. Immediately upon meeting Alex, we felt extremely comfortable with his professionalism and honesty and ultimately went with him for the job. During the work, he uncovered some additional rot to the siding of our home. Given that this was something completely unexpected, he offered us different options such as getting second opinions, etc on how to resolve the issue. We felt incredibly comfortable and decided to stick with Alex to repair the rotted siding. Not only did he do a great job on the siding as well, but he worked day and night to help us repair everything as soon as possible. I had a WONDERFUL experience with Oleksandr and his team at Kovch Construction!…read more There were over a dozen huge holes in my walls after doing a full plumbing repipe in my new house, so everything needed drywall patches, mud, paint, and texture. There were also holes through the backs of the cabinets under every sink. I collected a LOT of estimates. Most people wanted over twice what Oleksandr quoted - and didn't have the glowing positive reviews he has, especially noting the quality and cleanliness of his work. Spoiler warning: the other reviews were right! Oleksandr and his team were so polite and professional (including punctual and communicative!). Whenever I asked a question or pointed out something important to me (like carefully covering the brand-new mini-split to protect it from drywall dust, or making sure my gecko's heater was safe near the plastic sheeting), they listened carefully and made sure I was satisfied with the answer. That's a big deal for someone with schema about "not bothering people". There were a LOT of little touches that proved they cared and respected my property. I felt comfortable and secure leaving my house for three days while they worked. The other companies I asked told me they "couldn't repair" the sink cabinet holes, despite the fact that I kept the removed pieces which had pretty clean edges. One guy insisted he would only repair them with plywood, but most said I would just have to live with the holes. Oleksandr set my expectations that he could reinstall the pieces, but they might not look perfect. That was fine by me! And yet, they actually ended up FAR better than expected. They fixed the drywall, replaced the cabinet pieces, and sealed the edges - sure you can see the cabinet repairs if you look for them, but in ambient lighting, the under-sink patches are pretty well unnoticeable. The quality of the finished wall work totally blew me away. You would never have known there were holes everywhere. I absolutely marveled when they were done - walking around my house with my mouth agape, like I'd never been in a house before. I'm not exaggerating - I'm so, so pleased. They even smoothed out the ugly screw pops in my stairway! These pros left my place EXTREMELY clean considering how horribly messy drywall dust is. What little I found after they left couldn't even count as being "dusty" (and not a SPECK was on the mini-split). And they remembered to put the carpet protectors back on my sofa feet when they moved it back into place, and very kindly checked the exact placement of my home theater speakers (of utmost concern to me). This kind of project is super stressful for anyone, and especially for a first-time homeowner. It's rare and difficult to find businesses you can trust in this world. I'm so grateful to Oleksandr and his team for making this process so easy on me, and with fantastic results - it couldn't have gone any better even if I'd paid twice as much. I'll definitely call Kovch Construction next time I need anything they do, and I'll gladly recommend them to everyone who mentions a similar project to me!

They arrived every day at 9am sharp, as they said they would and completed in 3 days (also as promised), and it looks perfect! Looks like they installed it over brand new framing. The crew that worked on my basement did good work -- the framing, drywall, electrical, and painting were solid, and the individual workers were skilled and professional. If the project had been completed, I'd have been happy with the quality. The problem is it wasn't completed. The job started in early January with an estimated two-week timeline. Two months later, with work still unfinished, I had to terminate the contract. Throughout that time, communication was poor -- I had to repeatedly chase down updates, received multiple promises of crew returning that didn't happen, and got a series of explanations for delays (some legitimate, some not) with no consistent follow-through. I had paid in full before the work was done. Despite my termination letter and a formal refund request for the unfinished items, the company disputed the amount owed and has not paid. I ultimately completed much of the remaining work myself and hired a junk hauling service to handle the cleanup they agreed to do. I don't question the quality of the hands-on work. But reliability, communication, and accountability matter just as much -- and on those fronts, I can't recommend this contractor.
