My Girlfriend and I, for the last few years have spent New Year's Eve at Disneyland and thus spent the night at a local Hotel. This year we chose the Budget Inn! First off let me say my rating is for some little things that honestly are an easy fix. The personality of the Budget Inn Attendant in the office was professional and very friendly. We checked in on New Years Eve, and the only thing we had to compare the actual arrival visit was the pictures we saw. All I can say is that the pictures are taken at great angles. The office lobby is very small; however, it was very neat and there was the expected Disneyland decor. In addition, it had free Folgers Coffee which we took advantage of immediately. The Inn itself, from the outside, was neat and very clean. There was a well kept pool area and plenty of parking. The location itself, by the way, is awesome as your are little at the corner to the Disney Parking Structure entrance. The room! Here is where my suggestions begin: 1. The towels, please make them an appropriate size than an average adult can wrap himself/herself in. 2. As a courtesy, please place the average samples of shampoo / conditioner in the room. These ketchup packet sized shampoo/conditioner was place and when opened you literally got a nickel to quarter size drop of each packet. 3. Please place a cup-sized coffee maker in the rooms or ensure that the coffee in the office lobby is always working and filled. There is absolutely nothing worse then waking up the next morning, wanting coffee! Rolling out of bed, putting something on, walking out into the cold for coffee that you can only get in the office, only to be told that it is out as you didn't get a new supply! Not acceptable! 4. Finish painting the walls as our walls had hole-patch putty on various locations all over the wall(s) (Which was white and the walls were not). read more

For the record I really enjoyed staying here. It was cheap and didn't have roaches or bedbugs so I was totally satisfied with just that! The room was clean (had some stains on the carpet), and the ac worked great which is a huge plus in my book. And no rift raft in the parking lot like you'd usually expect at an inexpensive motel. If you are going to stay here just to basically sleep here and save some money it is the perfect place. If you are looking for something similar to the Marriott then you probably won't like it here (I'm not a picky person, just a cheap a** with some standards) The positives for me were: -inexpensive -clean -safe -nice staff -clean pool (gate was locked so I didn't get to use it) -soda vending machine -no problems with critters or insects of any sort -perfect parking lot -good water pressure -great working ac/heater -cable tv -comfortable bed and pillows (mine was a king) The negatives for me were: (didn't really mind any of these since the price was so good) -no coffee in the front office -I don't think the doors were fitted right or something because you can hear everything outside(car doors closing, people walking/talking by your room) -I stayed on the second floor and when the winds were bad one night the palm trees were scraping against the roof so you could hear that all night -barely single use cheap toiletries (that I didn't use) -a hint of cigarette smell (got used to it and couldn't notice shortly after arriving) -no patio furniture on the balconies Things I wish I would have brought: -a scented wall plug in -my own hand soap -maybe my own towel since the ones they provided were a little thin (but they definitely did the job) Side note: -I did bring my own comforter so I did not use the one they provided so I can't really comment on that -I brought my own pillows as well but ended up using theirs too because I love sleeping with like 10 pillows and they weren't bad, a little on the hard side but I personally didn't mind it Overall, I feel like if you are not a picky person that still has some standards and on a budget this place is perfect. I was very nervous about staying here because usually that low of a price comes with some major consequences, but really it was not bad at all. I had a standard king room on the second floor and it was perfect for just me for my 5 night stay while my family stayed at the Disneyland hotel. I feel like my biggest reasons for making it a 4 star review instead of a 5 star is mainly because they didn't offer any coffee and the noise was a little annoying. Great bed, close to everything, nice staff, clean, no bugs. We actually had the handicapped room because we have trouble with stairs. It was smaller than the other rooms to accommodate the huge bathroom. The other rooms were really big. The TV was a good size too. I don't know about someones comment about roaches. We stayed there 8 days, had food out in a big box and no bugs or roaches were seen and we get up frequently in the night. We did need to go to the adjacent hotel to check in but they let us get breakfast there. It was cereal,muffins and milk and OJ and coffee. Our buildings ice machine and soda machine were off but a manager got me some ice from the other building. You do need to request maid service. My husband was annoyed that there wasn't a dresser or any drawers to unpack his suitcase. We felt safe and comfortable there and happy not to pay a fortune! Also saw fireworks from parking lot! Kinda don't want people to know about this little place so it will be available next time we come. read more

Overall it is wasn't a bad place for the price and how close it is to Disneyland. All in all, if I was looking for a cheap place to crash I'd probably stay again. I'd just remember to bring earplugs We pulled into the parking lot and there was a couple smoking weed outside right next door to my room. When we got out of the car they walked to the other side of the parking lot, but you could still smell weed by our room (we were close to the back end of the parking lot). That said, the room appeared clean and maintained. It just had a slight odor - that older hotel/motel room smell. Not sure if it was something they used to clean or just recirculated old motel room air. It wasn't overpowering. The bed was pretty comfortable. Not too soft, not super firm. Huge thumbs up for firm pillows!!! They also had the typical squishy cotton balls most places have. With Disneyland right behind the property you could hear the fireworks loud and clear! The front desk said you could see them from the parking lot - not sure of the view because I was so tired from driving all day that I just watched them live on TikTok with the loud bang-bangs outside So the biggest downside was sound proofing (or lack there of). You could totally hear the tv from the room next door. Once i turned on our tv I couldn't hear it (but I'm sure if they turned theirs off they heard mine - so, sorry whoever you are lol). I'd say my one night stay here was pretty solid. The room had the basic necessities and they even had free WiFi! It's quite a small motel, but there's enough parking for all of its guests. They have a pool and offer free breakfast as well as a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. A cool bonus is how close the fireworks are to the motel. From the parking lot, you can watch the full ~20 min show. If you're looking to stay here because of Disneyland, it's not walkable. We called a rideshare and got there within 5 min. read more

Hey, It's Anaheim during Expo West 2019 and most Inns, Hotels, AirBnB have sold out months in advance. If they're not sold out, its 3x the price. Which brings us to the Budget Inn. Let's be frank, if you're looking for a basic room with just beds and bathroom, then Budget Inn is your perfect getaway. IWe checked in late on Friday night and were not able to walk into the lobby so we used the Check In window. For those of you who are too young to remember the Check In Window, it's similar to the double thick window at Money Tree or a Drive Thru Window Exchange at a Jack in the Box in bad part of Sacramento. The gentleman was nice and handled the transaction perfectly. Sometimes when using 3rd party sites, you know who you are Bookings.com or TriVago, sometimes, bad things can happen, but lady luck was on our side tonight. I was so hoping for actual key on a keychain with the big plastic 1 number fob with the room number on it but I was simply asking for too much. The standard key card was presented et voila, our room was clean, open, and just what we were looking for. We enjoyed some adult beverages and as my mom would say, " We hit the sack" Looking for no frills and safe place to stay, then the Budget Inn is for you. Here's a PRO TIP, there's a AM/PM market across the street that has all sorts of goodies, whether it's snacks or adult beverages, I would highly recommend to get what you need before you get over to Budget Inn. read more

Stayed here for one night because of its proximity to the parks (about a 20 min walk). The manager was great and he let me park my car all day before check in and after check out. The room was clean and the amenities were adequate. The place was great for the price and a place to rest my head. Honest review here! Just stayed 3 nights here and it was decent!! The rooms were I'm guessing remodeled recently and smelt clean. The sheets were clean and so was the restroom. It was $50 bucks a night. The inn is in a industrial area so there weren't any homeless or random people hanging around. It was also well lit at night. We did have some annoying neighbors one night. They were smoking and talking super loud till like 4 in the morning but we didn't call the front desk or anything to rectify it. Overall good stay! 15 min from Disneyland, 20 minutes from Compton if that's your cup of tea. Haha. All the reviews on here are bad and I feel like the budget inn needed some love! read more

I am rating this out of the competitive range hotels (not going to compare this to a chain hotel that charges $$$$ a night as that merely isn't fair or the point of a hotel like this). Personally, I think this hotel is fantastic for what most people are booking it for; a place that is walking close to Disney, somewhere to sleep, and doesn't make a huge dent in your finances. I have stayed at the majority of the budget inns around Disney and this was one of the best ones so far. Note: Any of the hotels on this side of Disney is about a 10 minute walk to the tram (which basically all nearby hotels are unless you stay at a Disney resort), but does not automatically walk through Downtown (unless you choose to which is only a few minutes further). Regardless, if you plan on walking all day at Disney, this walk is very reasonable and still beats the time it takes to wait in the car park pay line and parking the car. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating (he allowed me to park my car in the lot before and after check in/check out to avoid Disney parking). They do not offer a breakfast, but have coffee and a box of pastries up for grab. The room was decent and had a back entrance and a balcony. The bed and bathroom were clean and comfortable (no bed bugs, mold, etc.). Also nice? They provided four pillows and four of each towel (seeing the majority of people sleep with more pillows and use more shower towels and always have to ask for them). Stayed here because of a deal I found on Groupon, I swear by Groupon getaways!! Spent the weekend in Anaheim taking my best friend to Disneyland so we really just needed a place to sleep. This place wasn't so bad. Definitely an older hotel that was given a face lift with some areas. Not bad for the price, you get what you pay for. Plus side they had a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Perfect for bringing home left overs for a midnight snack, or even something quick. The people that work here are pretty nice as well. My family and I stayed here for 3 nights while in the area for Disneyland. I'm giving it 5 stars not because it was the best hotel I've ever been to, but because it's a great value considering price, location and cleanliness. I will start with the fact that the man at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. He was friendly and quick. Good experience. Then we got to the room (a large family room with 3 beds)...paint peeling, dim lighting, poorly taken care of,...could have handled it, we were just going to sleep after mickey's halloween party...but then came the cockroaches. They were in the bathroom and the closet. That was it...we left. Yes it's an inexpensive hotel, but I hate the idea "you get what you pay for." Perfect place to sleep. Stayed here for one night. We checked in at almost midnight and the man was nice and check in went smoothly. It's not fancy but has everything you need. Great proximity to the parks and in a nice quiet location. The room was nice and clean and seemed to be updated with paint and crown molding. The bed lining and carpet were still a little old fashioned but the bed itself was super comfortable. The bathroom was nice, pretty simple and a little dated but everything worked great. Great water pressure, no issues with warm water, good lighting and the vent fan worked. The AC was fantastic and they also had a microwave! I've stayed in nicer hotels that had terrible AC or didn't offer a microwave. The complimentary soaps were not the best but honestly I bring my own so that wasn't an issue for me. If you just want a place to sleep and shower, nothing fancy but has what you need, nice and clean at a good price, this is the place! read more

I'm not sure why this hotel receives such low ratings. It may not be the most pristine of hotels, but you get what you pay for. The front desk attendant is very polite. We arrived earlier than expected and he allowed us to check in immediately. He was very kind. The one thing I always take in account is the shower. Most cheap hotels emit low water pressure and its hard to take a decent shower. The shower head was perfect. Parking is not an issue during Disneyland's off season. It's walking distance from the park. The hotel was empty so we asked to keep our car there even after we checked out. I'm sure if you ask nicely, they'll be kind enough to do the same for you. It's a very small property, but on the outside everything is nice and clean. There are a few things that I'd change or improve inside the rooms, but nothing bothersome. I always bring my own towels when I travel. No hotel can match my favorite Target towels. I did notice that their towels were thin and not very soft..I can imagine that would bother some people. Like I said earlier, you get what you pay for. I would not consider this hotel ghetto at all. I would not consider this hotel to be nasty. My experience here was fine up until I went to wipe my face on a towel and found a long black strand of hair and red stains. Im sure the fact that I had to walk down to the office for replacement towels was what pissed me off though. So as the owner is handing me "new towels" I unfolded one of them and BAM another stain. This time I showed it to him and to my surprise he brushed it off as if that were normal. To top our wonderful experience off, my cousin who had a room below us and who has a one year old and a 3 year old with her, found a baby roach in her shower. When she called front desk he claimed to not know that he had roaches. The next day as I was washing my 6 month old son's bottles, I found a roach walking on one of my son's bottles. So, if u want to have to wake up Early to wipe your luggage Down and shake every article of clothing you brought into your vacation off so you are not taking roaches home then this is the place to stay!! The hotel was one of the most affordable nearby Disneyland. Hotel stated that it was about a 10 minute walk to Disneyland but it was much longer than 10 minutes. The room had a disgusting musty smell as you walked in but the smell subsided after we sprayed and opened the door to get some air in. The refrigerator/freezer didn't work that great. We got the king size bed and it was decent, not sure what was going on with the headboard. Looks like really thin wood but isn't wood. The comforter and towels were so thin so I would recommend you bring your own if you don't like thin one-ply towels. I did bring my own blanket and will start bringing my own towels when I travel. The shower water pressure was decent but the shower curtain had a bunch of stains. My hubbys room card stopped working the first night and luckily I had the other card on me. They were on top of service when we needed more pillows and towels. Make sure you call them for early check in if needed. I requested early check-in by email and never received a response. We get there early, was asked to come back and room still wasn't ready by the time we got there. There was plenty of parking and our stay was peacefully quiet. I'm glad we got the room on the 2nd floor since the bright car headlights beamed right into the rooms of the 1st floor guests. Overall, our stay was just okay, we found pocorn on the floor, the towels and comforter were cheap and thin but you do get what you pay for. Breakfast consisted of coffee and breakfast danishes. We came here just to get some rest while visiting Disneyland/California adventures and didn't spend too much time in the rooms. Not too bad for a short stay just to get some rest. read more

Very friendly service at the front desk! We were able to check in early and have the afternoon to relax before our busy day in Disneyland tomorrow. The room is very clean and upgraded. It's a little noisy outside due to construction but that won't last forever. The bed is a little on the firm side for me but my husband thinks is comfy! We got a great deal and are happy with this hotel. Our room was HUGE! With two queen beds and tons of space all over for a family with a lot of kids. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the tram that took us straight into Disneyland near the Disneyland parking lot. The location of this place is very ideal. What can I say it is a decent nice hotel . Nothing glam . I stayed during the 60th anniversary of disneyland and every other hotels near disney were all full or if not full , it was very expensive . This hotel was open and at a good price . For two nights I paid 270. Kind of still an expensive pay , but at least I didn't pay 400 at another hotel . My only purpose to get a hotel is to sleep and take a shower . The downside of the hotel was that the second time we went into the room it smelled really bad , but we opened to outside "balcony" door and the smell went away . The beds are stiff , but not uncomfortable . To walk to disney it is about 20 minutes . Of course if you are really tired from disney walking then you won't want to go walking , but it is still close . They have nice shower power , and clean towels . And good channels on their big screen TVs. A downside again was that we were upstairs and , when your in your room when people are running around to get to their room upstairs everything shakes so loudly it is scary haa. And kids. Should not be put in upstairs rooms they jump and you can hear everything ! Anwyas if your planning to just stay at hotel with to he purpose to sleep and get rest this is your place . I stayed there for 3 nights over this weekend. You pretty much get what you pay for! I just wanted something cheap, a place to crash at night after long days in Disneyland. The bad: the hotel linens were like sandpaper...I mean seriously, like Dollar Store quality crap. The beds were so hard you may as well just sleep on the floor. I would come back tired and fall onto the bed hoping for something comfy to lay on...well lemme tell ya, no recoil whatsoever! Very disappointing when your body aches from running around all day. Oh yeah and there was what appeared to be faded dirt stains on the sheets in a couple places. I just slept on top of those (they seemed clean otherwise). The good: The microwave was probably like the original prototype microwave it was so old, but it served its purpose. The room was pretty clean, there was a refrigerator. The guy at the desk was friendly, he allowed me to leave my car there on the last day after I checked out so that I didn't have to pay for parking for my last day at Disneyland. Most importantly, it was cheap! It was the best deal I could find and considering we stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night it was pretty reasonably priced for its proximity to Dland. The Whatever: The toiletries were little single use shampoo packets and a small bar of soap. Towels were cheap and scratchy, no floor mat. Oh and there was a dresser/entertainment stand type thing with 3 drawers that DIDN'T open! This place was so cheap there wasn't even a bible! (I don't give a crap if there's a bible or not, just found it amusing that there wasn't one since I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel that didn't have one). Continental breakfast was a box of cheap pastry things that probably came from Sam's Club or something, and instant coffee. This hotel is located on the back side of the park so not near all the restaurants and hustle and bustle of S. Harbor. It's about a 15min walk to the park and there's a short cut on the way back. There is an employee entrance to Disneyland next to the hotel but they won't let you IN that way. So when you leave the park for the night you can take the tram to the parking garage, go up to the 2nd floor, walk all the way across and down the stairs, then walk through the employee lot and out to the main road (W Ball Rd). It's much faster leaving than getting there and gives your tootsies a welcome break after walking all day. Overall like I said, you get what you pay for. I didn't expect it to be a nice place, but I really was hoping for a decent bed since that was the main reason I got a hotel in the first place. Doesn't need to be a plush luxury bed but something better than a floor would have been nice! I probably wouldn't stay here again just because there are other cheap hotels that might be slightly better quality. But if you don't care about any of that this is the place for you! read more

Pros: Cheap, clean, spacious, wifi, AC, iron, hair dryer (even though I brought my own), mini fridge, microwave. There's a pool which we didn't have time to use. They wouldn't accept my temporary debit card so I had to pay cash, but they did not require an extra deposit like the Travelodge across the street. Cons: HARD BEDS AND PILLOWS- AWFUL!!! NOISY neighborhood!! There was construction around that started very early. Overall, not a very good night sleep. I would NOT stay here again. I'd spend the extra $50 to have a better bed, bring my own pillow, and hopefully have a quieter morning elsewhere. read more

Nothing fancy, but this place is just not acceptable! I tried reading the other reviews on other sites and thought I'd give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, but I was wrong! We'll start with the Good list, since it is short: - You can see the fireworks from the hotel, but you have to stand in the middle of the parking lot, you WILL NOT be able to see them from your room even on the 2nd floor since the fireworks is behind the hotel. - There was a microwave, refrigerator, tables, chairs, blowdryer, tv, all lights working. The Bad: (The list is long..beware) - Bed: The beds were so hard like the last review said, I didn't mind because I have back problems but this is not recommended for those looking for a good/decent soft bed. The bedcovers are disgusting. There were minor stains.. not even sure if they wash the sheets. God, I hope so. - Price: Really not even worth $50 a night. I would say this place should probably cost $30 a night. I would suggest saving your money and going to other cheap hotels in the area if you are on a budget. I stayed at the Super 8 in the area before and it is a MUCH better hotel than this and cost about the same. - Shower: When we first checked in, the knob on the shower was literally sitting on the bathtub. We had to put it on to turn on the water. It was the most ghetto bathroom ever. Also, there was NO hot water. I left the water running for 10 minutes and the water was barely lukewarm. It was unbearable. I took a cold shower and called the front desk to send someone to look at it. When the cleaning lady came, she said that we should just wait to take a shower because everyone may be taking a shower at the same time. Thank goodness they fixed it the next day though. BUT SERIOUSLY!? - Toilet : there was a stain on the toilet seat, looks like a cigarette burn, very minor, but looks disgusting. There was also only a 1/4 roll of toilet paper left on the roll when we checked in and a full roll behind the toilet. - Towels: BRING YOUR OWN. They supply sandpaper-like towels and also the minimum amount. - When the "cleaning lady" came for "room service", she pushed a shopping cart that had towels in the child seat and empty soda cans and bottles in the cart. She knocked on our door as I didn't even know we had a sign on our doorknob with "Maid Service" on one side and "Do not disturb" on the other. When I told her "no we don't need maid service", she scolded me to turn the sign around if we don't need it. She continued to push the cart on to the next room. Also, when we were leaving the parking lot, there was a young boy holding a broom and a dustpan, sweeping the floor. Can you say family service? - Phone - nothing major as we didn't plan on using the phone, but all buttons were missing except the 10-key - Don't expect a notepad/pen or drawers to put your stuff. - If you are on the lower floor, you WILL hear footsteps above you, whether it's morning or night, hope you're not a light sleeper. Overall, I can go on and on about what's wrong with this hotel, but instead, to sum it all up, I would say...Save your money and go somewhere else.
