I went back after they did their renovation and I can honestly say I love how they fix up the rooms. It looks super modern with new upgrades like lights, floor, mirror, bathroom, etc. They even have breakfast included and also free parking. The works here are nice and friendly. Every time I stay here I feel like I'm at home. They even transform their shuttle into a trolley which looks cool. The trolley take you and from Disneyland Resort. Don't forget there's even an ice machine in the center of the Inn and right next to it is a laundry room in cast you need to wash and dry your clothes. I never had any issues staying here which make me want to come back.

Candy Cane Inn is located conveniently on Harbor Boulevard within walking distance (10 minutes) to Disneyland (although they do also offer a complimentary shuttle every hour to/from Disneyland) In addition to the complimentary shuttle, Candy Cane Inn offers free breakfast and free parking. The breakfast consists of an assortment of croissant sandwiches, donuts, pastries, fruits. They also have a waffle maker and pancake maker. We had a two queen sized bedroom and it was a good size. The tub/shower worked well. The fridge was a good size and there was also a microwave (which we didn't use) Our only small issue was the parking lot spaces. It seems that everyone was driving large trucks/SUVs and didn't park well within the lines. Other than that, we would definitely return to Candy Cane Inn for our next Disneyland adventure.

Rented for 2 nights, service was great, staff are welcoming and attentive to needs. Continental breakfast has a good spread of items for everyone. Room and bathroom were clean. Water temperature can get hot fast, which is a plus in comparison to other places that takes a while for the water to warm up.

Great hotel located very very close to Disneyland that offers a trolly service to and from the park. Amazing breakfast offered. Great price point option off Disney property.

We absolutely adored our stay at the Candy Cane Inn! The Deluxe rooms are pretty spacious though I couldn't compare to their standard room. Wonderful staff made our trip feel even more magical and more like the Disney destination you wish for.

Ask the Community - Candy Cane Inn

Is there an incidental deposit that gets held during your stay?

Yes, we were asked to approve and sign for a $100 deposit when we checked in. But it only took a few days for the deposit to be refunded in full after we left.

We are spending the day at Disneyland, how early can we park our car at the hotel?

They let us park our car in the parking lot, around 8am, the morning we went to disneyland and had a reservation for the hotel later that day. Just make sure to ask for a parking pass at the front desk.

    Is there an elevator?

    No, there is no elevator

Does this hotel still offer complimentary breakfast?

Yes. There's so much complimentary continental food available in the morning by the pool. You can make your own waffles too ❤️

I hear parking is free. Is it 1 parking space per room? I have a group of 4 renting one room but we will have 2 cars. Do we still get parking for the second car?

I believe you can park 2 cars. You need to call and verify that. Parking can be tough there. The later in the day you arrive, the harder it is to get a spot. You definitely have to let them know if you have more than one car. They give you a parking… Read more

Can I only book for a few hours ?i don't need the full night

No. A few hours would be 1 nights stay.

Do we get a discount if we have signature passports?

    Yes

Do they have a hourly room there?

I do not believe it does. Daily rate only.

    How early does breakfast start?

    630am

Do they give discounts on rooms to Disney Annual Passholders?

I think they do give you a discount, and also if you are a AAA member they give you a discount. It's not a lot, but any bit helps! Have fun

Are there fridges in the rooms? We booked a deluxe room with 2 queen beds.

Yes they do. They have coffee maker, ice machine just a few steps from rooms, also vending machines. Enjoy your stay.

Does this place have a complimentary dinner ? or a BBQ for the matter for the guests who are staying there.

    No just breakfast

I want to book a room for my granddaughter as a wedding anniversary gift, do they ask for your AAA member card at check in? I'm a member, she isn't but I wanted to use my AAA to book a room for her.

I was asked to present my AAA card upon check-in. I believe if you have a Disneyland annual pass you get the same discount!

Do they have early check in?

If you're In luck the room might be avail for early check in. Mines was delightful experience. Will for sure stay here again

Which stop is the bus pick-up to get back to the hotel?

    No.

On my most recent stay, I was placed in a handicap accessible room that I did not request when booking. Not a huge issue, but definitely not what I expected. During the stay before that, on my last day, I stopped at the pool bar to relax and have a few drinks. The entire time, the bartenders and wait staff were either on their phones or arguing with each other. It made for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. On the stay prior to that, I had a very negative interaction with a manager, which I reported in a letter. The response from the hotel was lukewarm and didn't leave a good impression. I felt I was treated poorly, especially for a property at this level, and the small number of points offered felt more dismissive than helpful. On top of that, tours were repeatedly brought through the gym while my guests and I were trying to work out. I understand the space may be open, but having multiple groups walk through filming on their phones, combined with the manager's reaction and comments, was frustrating and honestly left a lasting negative impression. I will say the front desk staff are excellent and the housekeeping team is outstanding. Unfortunately, the issues with other areas overshadow the great work they do. I stayed at Hotel Indigo by IHG for the first time and was quite disappointed with both the…read morecustomer service and overall experience. The hotel itself feels a bit dated and could use some updates, but honestly, a room is a room--it serves its purpose. My main issue was the lack of communication and professionalism from the staff throughout my stay. For context, I am an IHG Platinum member. One of the benefits of Platinum status is eligibility for early check-in and room upgrades, both of which are subject to availability. I travel frequently and completely understand that these perks are never guaranteed. However, based on my experience and recommendations from hotel staff at other properties, I typically call the night before arrival to request that a note be added to my reservation regarding an early check-in request. The night before my arrival, I called the hotel and spoke with a front desk employee named Daisy. I politely asked if she could add a note to my reservation requesting early check-in. Her only response was, "Early check-in is subject to availability," which I already understood. What confused me was that she never asked for my name, confirmation number, or any information that would allow her to locate my reservation. When I pointed this out and asked how she could add a note without identifying my booking, she still refused to pull up my reservation. The call ended with no note added and a very poor impression of the hotel's customer service. The next morning, after landing around 7:00 AM, I called again hoping to speak with someone else. I was hoping to refresh before the rest of my day. This time I spoke with Elizabeth, who was much more helpful and was able to locate my reservation and add the note. I mentioned my experience from the previous evening, and her immediate response was, "Who said that?" I chose not to name anyone and simply explained what had happened. She told me she would do her best and said I should be able to get into a room around noon. Since I was already nearby, I slowly made my way to the hotel and arrived around 11:30 AM. Elizabeth was not there at the time, so I spoke with a male front desk employee and explained that I had been told a room would likely be available around noon. His immediate response was again, "Who said that?" It felt as though every staff member was more concerned with identifying who had provided information rather than helping the guest in front of them. The lack of communication between employees was becoming increasingly obvious. I then asked if I could at least begin the check-in process and park my car in the garage rather than continue occupying one of the check-in parking spaces. Only then did he ask for my reservation information. In my experience, most hotels are able to begin the check-in process even if the room is not quite ready. After parking and waiting a short while, Elizabeth returned around noon and was able to get me checked in. During check-in, I also requested a late checkout and was told that a 1:00 PM checkout had been approved. The communication issues continued the following day. My partner asked me to confirm our checkout time, so I stopped by the front desk. A male and female employee looked up my reservation and appeared confused, telling me there was no late checkout noted on the account. Once again, I had to explain that it had already been approved. And once again, I was asked who had approved it. Both employees then agreed to honor the 1:00 PM checkout. Even on the day of departure, the confusion persisted. While I was in the shower getting ready to leave, the room phone repeatedly rang. When I finally answered, a front desk employee asked whether I had a late checkout. I replied that I did. My entire stay felt like there was little to no communication between staff members. Every request seemed to require re-explaining the situation, and every interaction was met with questions about which employee had said what rather than a review of the reservation notes. As a loyal IHG member, this was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've had. Unfortunately, because of the poor communication and inconsistent customer service, I don't know if I would choose to stay at this property again.

Unfortunately, I've been getting used to abrasive front-desk people, so it was great to have someone pleasant. The room was a little tricky to find, but once we got in, we were very impressed with how wonderfully clean everything was. Having stayed at so many hotels for family trips, work trips, and just to get away, I will say that the cleanliness of this hotel is above average. Even the elevator smelled nice. We got the one-bedroom with 2 queens room. These beds were very comfortable, almost like home. The sheets were hotel sheets, so fine I guess. I got a pretty decent night of sleep. The living room pull-out sofa was actually kind of comfortable too. In the morning, we went to the huge breakfast area that actually featured some really great stuff. Having a food allergy, I'm used to being disappointed at free breakfasts. Sunday, I was spoiled for choice. Monday morning before we checked out, a little less so. Finally, the highlights and let-downs: the biggest highlight for us was our room location. On the 4th floor, facing Disneyland, we got a free fireworks show from bed both nights. It made the whole experience much nicer for me. However, the let-down was that the builders cut corners and the walls are very thin. On Sunday morning, I could hear every single door opening and closing, every heavy-footed person walking, every time the elevator came. It happened overnight as well, but I always bring ear plugs to hotels. Overall, it was great - just wish the walls had more insulation.

My partner and I did the walk there as we went late at night . It's about 28 minutes but we walk fairly fast so we got there in 20 minutes . The Toy Story parking lot is only a 15 minute walk and the bus take you to the park. So another option when got to the park. Room review it is really not that bad. Yes it is outdated but that is how it show on the website so you know what you are getting into. If it's not your style you can put a little extra money into the higher end Hiltons. But everything was very clean. There was no old smell. The water pressure was really great and the water heated up really fast which is great after a day in the parks. I believes some of the rooms have the sofas so it's kind of like a living room and bedroom vibe. This is great if you're taking a large family some people can sleep on the couch even. You have a nice hangout space if you have a break from the park. It is about the same price or less the regular room . We were able to get our room $113 after taxes and parking it was $180. The parking was $30 which is a given at any hotel by Disney. Regardless if you were to drive to Disney each day it's about the same price each. It is a compromise to be in a close distance to the park to walk pretty close and have a shuttle. I think it breaks even with making sure that your car is safe. Yes it sucks paying for parking but almost every hotel near Disneyland charges for parking each night. Also, the room does come with a fridge and microwave if you were trying to save and be budget friendly you can bring your own food when going to the parks or just traveling in general.
