    Dirty walls

    This location pick and choose which room to give an individual. I'm sure they are discriminating against people. Judging people based on their race or ethnicity. I booked a room with them and the outcome was horrible. The walls, sheets, towels and furniture is dirty. I asked for a simple maid service which was a new set of clean sheets because there was different kind of dog and human hair in the current sheets in the bed all different colors and crumbs and black and brown stains of poop looking stains. The phone in the room did not work at all to contact the front office they disconnected it on purpose. The settings on the swamp cooler are broken they took the knobs off of it on purpose. The floors are chipped and damaged. I felt itchy in the bed of course. I'm sure one side is ran down near the office and the other side is not. This is highway robbery. It doesn't matter if it's a budget friendly place. If someone pay to stay anywhere they should have a comfortable, clean, sanitary with a good hospitality place to stay. This is trifling and unacceptable! Not having someone feel like a filthy slave or a low life in the disgusting rooms that they give them. I'm a very clean and organized person me my children didn't deserve this at all! Will never recommend this location and will never come back! Save your money please go somewhere else.

    This Budget Inn makes an appealing ad for itself on the FIDO APP. The owners appear kind enough. However, I could not have gotten a more crappier room than room number 302. The towels and washcloths reeked and were so dirty that I had brought towels from my moms that were 52 years old and looked brand new compared to what Budget Inn calls freshly clean. The room is in shambles and while I get the idea is to put people with pets in rooms that are already wrecked this was uncalled for. I stayed only because my kind boyfriend believed the reviews and prepaid for 6 nights. I will not recommend the Budget Inn in Barstow California,to anyone. My dogs are very well behaved. I did not sleep in the bed. I placed one of my clean quilts on top and used one of my blanket. The cost of this room was just under 500 dollars for me for 6 nights and 200 dollars plus 50 dollar deposit for my 2 dogs. The room is a dump plain and simple. The owners may think is okay....but it is not. I remember a time when ownership pride was a thing....I will not be staying here again. If you like dirty rooms and dirty towels.....and maybe dirty bedding...I did not bother to look....this is the place for you. I cannot give this room a single star. The owners, seem kind enough and if any stars are to be given to them it needs to be solely done on the presentation of the rooms. Just because a person has pets does not mean placing them in the trashiest room is where they need to be. The cost of this room was too much. The toilet shower,fridge,microwave and TV get 1 star as there wasn't anything extraordinary about them. I have posted pictures,I am not sure if they all posted.I still have 2 more nights...but never again.

    Chose this place online because of the pictures of the pancake machine! Have heard about them but never seen one. Checked in later, after 11pm but was greeted by friendly lady. Room was surprisingly nice, nice laminate wood floors instead of gross carpet. Bigger than usual rooms, furnished well, clean. Glad it had a fridge. Nice flat screen tv. Wall mounted noisy air conditioner, didn't bother me though and I could easily hear the tv over it. Bed was super comfy and nice pillows. Breakfast area is in the lobby, not a lot of seating, we were lucky not many there for breakfast. Had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, cereals, oatmeal and pancakes from the 1 minute pancake machine. Juice machine with Orange, mango & papaya, apple & lemonade and coffee, all very nice. Overall very nice place for the price.

    The value on this was excellent. The room was pretty small but adequate. It was clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. There was a small fridge and a microwave in the room. Two of the floor linoleum tiles were torn but overall the room was decorated nicely. The breakfast room only had pancakes, cereal and some hard boiled eggs and muffins, plus juice and weak coffee. The location was not very good, surrounding hotels and area were grungy. Otherwise we would have given 4 stars.

    So this review takes place during the time that they are doing construction.. I am not sure how…read morelong construction will last but I think they have a fair way to go still. The upside is the rates are pretty good! I got my room for about $130 booked the day of. The next closest Hilton was $166. I am traveling on business so I was unconcerned with particulars. I gather most people stationed here aren't trying to spend more than a night here. It is basically in the outlet stores. If you love you some outlet shopping then you need to stay here. You are right in it! Again I wasn't there for all that. In fact I was in the the beginning of what would an epic head cold ... I'm talking voice changes and generally not feeling that sick but sounding sick enough to have people recoil when you spoke. They have a pool. I think it looks like the web pics, the breakfast is standard for the hotel brand. Nobody is very out of their way nice or helpful which is ok. It's not like most people aren't the one nighters. Anyway, my only knock is that even on the nicer room (so I'm led to believe) you can hear EVERYTHING. The sound carries . At one point I convinced myself I might be going mad ....sure I could hear folks talking normally and such....But I had AirPods in and faintly heard crying. I'd take them out and listen and try to find where it was coming from to no avail. Over and over, to the point I slept without AirPods on and near the window. Then I HEARD the crying and jumped out of the bed! Only to find that a tomcat (cat was orange and white which is a male 90% of the time, you can look it up) out doing a mating call and just tomcatting around! Outside my window, wanting to break up my family! The audacity! No kitty, you go holler at someone else! Still unlike others I didn't see any roaches or anything dirty. I think they are getting right. IMPORTANT: they have these sharp guards for the mattress that aren't flush with anything and trust and believe SOMETHING will happen to hurt someone's leg. A good slice or chunk WiLL be taken by each bed with this set up. Go on and check yourself.. use a white towel/rag with a bit of water and swipe in the each of these basically Game of Thrones style spikes and I bet someone will come up with blood. Might even be mine cuz I was got! You can slide out of bed and slice some leg off. Minus a star

Had to go look for anyone who worked there, weird, you should definitely have someone at the desk greeting. Anyways nope not allowed to get the code bc I'm not staying there. The thing about hospitality is saying no is a sure fire way to lose customers. The door lock forces every person to contact a worker to get in, this allows them to make judgements about who goes in, but cutting off all non guests means being inhospitable to future possible guests. Just saying, I won't choose Hampton inn in the future. Is it spiteful? Maybe. Truthfully why give my money to someone who told me no -

The first time, 2 months ago, the hotel staff were extremely helpful. I would have given them a 5-star review. They allowed me to pay for the room over the phone by credit card and let her check in with her pet even though she has a different last name than me. The process was smooth as can be. She checked in early, around 11 or 12 am and was able to rest immediately. The room was huge, clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating and late check out was no problem at all. The room was very price friendly. Because of this experience, I joined the loyalty program and have stayed at several in other cities (not as nice as this one). THIS TIME, my daughter had the same medical need to rest and because of the original experience I immediately chose the same hotel. It was the complete opposite experience with the staff. The front desk would not allow her to check in early. He would not allow her to wait for the fist room available by sitting at the pool. He would not allow her to sit in the lobby. He harassed her every step of the way while she was going through a medical emergency. She was crying and he did not care and proceeded to tell her she had to leave. We called repeatedly asking if we could pay extra for early check in and asked can she sit outside by the pool until a room came available. No. He gave us so much trouble about paying over the phone. Made us jump through so many hoops with credit card authorization forms over email and then nit-picked every check box on the form causing more stress and emails and phone calls. After 3.5 hours, she was able to get into a room around 1pm. Our family travels 247 and because of the original experience, they had me as a customer for life which is hard to get out of me. After this last experience, I am considering spending my money elsewhere. All that stress in an already stressful medical situation was unacceptable. We did not get the clerks name but my receipt says "checked in by 'gm'" at 11:26 am, on 3/12/26. That is not the time she got a room.

The continental breakfast was decent/standard. The customer service received from all of the staff that we encountered ranged from just OK to very nice/professional. There are several fast food restaurants to choose from and walking distance from the hotel. Overall, it was a pretty good stay.

    i thought this place was cute & gave it a chance but everything went downhill…read more i overpaid, the service was slow, and the food was wrong & mediocre i'm passing through barstow from vegas to cali & wanted a breakfast that wasn't fast food, so i looked online & found los domingos and saw the menu online as well. firstly i ordered takeout & told the cashier i was using the online menu, & she said okay. i ordered the chorizo & eggs burrito and the new mexico chicken enchiladas. on the website, these are 6.99 each, so that's what i assumed it was. she never told me the price, never read my order back to me, & didn't offer me to look at the physical menu. it should be reasonable i'm shocked that my receipt & card was charged $30+ when i was under the assumption each item was 6.99 plus tax. next, our server also told us it was a 10 minute wait. cool! we ordered at 8:19, but our food was not done until 8:50. 30 minute wait for 2 dishes. it wasn't even busy so i don't know why it took so long. this was very disappointing as we were on a trip, and now we were 20-30 minutes behind. if i had known it was gonna be a 30 minute wait initially i would've ordered somewhere else. my burrito came with beans after i specifically ordered the one without beans. and my girlfriend's enchilada chicken looked pink & questionable. i guess all i can say is the potatoes were good. i called the store after i left to ask how much each item was, & all they could say was the online website is outdated. how was i supposed to know that, and why did they never tell me my total & just charged my card? also sucks that the receipt doesnt tell me already how much each item was, just the total. the girl also initially gave me my food & said have a good day without charging me, but i was honest & said oh i didnt pay yet. i wish i never paid & i wish i never stopped here. would've rather got mcdonalds at this point.
