    Dirty spoon
    Alana P.

We have stayed here several times and it has always been clean. I don't know if there has been a turn over in staff but the bathroom floor and kitchenette floor were both dirty. There was only 1 glass,No spatula,a dirty spoon and a pot that hat burnt rice in it. Only 1 wash cloth, shampoo and body wash dispenser were empty. I called the front desk and was told they would pass the information on. I never got a reply. I was able to ask a very nice house keeper for wash cloths and she replaced the shampoo and body wash.

I decided to try this hotel out since it had a better price than the Home2suites where we usually stay on the way through. It's clean and welcoming on arrival with a beautiful outdoor lounge area and bar. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed in the room in comparison to home2suites. The 2 queen room doesn't have a couch and only one small lounge chair and a hard desk chair. There is no luggage racks or anywhere for your stuff. The room is clean and modern, but it's a minimalist room with a cold hard feeling. There is 10 Blink EV chargers, but many are broken. It took me 20 mins to start a charge after a long wait on hold. The location is good, not far from the outlet mall, but it's a bit sketchy at night. Let's just say I likely won't be back unless they are significantly less expensive then the regular place we like.

Very clean room with big tv. Refrigerator and stove work great. Also has a desk to get my work done.

I was greeted with all smiles by a very friendly and accommodating staff. Maria was very helpful, making sure I got everything I needed. On my first stay I was unhappy with the room, it was so hot and the AC unit just wasn't doing it for me. The room wasn't cooling down until about 2AM which made my nights rough working in the heat all day then coming in to a hot hotel room. The second stay was a complete 180! The room was far more spacious and the AC until did what it was supposed to do. The gym was nice and clean The room was quiet and very clean. Checking in and out went smoothly and had no problem whatsoever. Plenty of good eats in the area. If I'm in the area I look forward to booking another stay with this hotel.

Very Disappointing Experience at Hampton Inn Barstow I…read morerarely write a review like this, but our experience at the Hampton Inn in Barstow has been extremely disappointing. Our Night Guardians animal rescue team is temporarily staying here because our sanctuary was flooded and repairs will take several days. We have stayed at Hampton Inn locations in Santa Clarita and Arcadia during rescue missions and events and have generally been treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, our experience here has been very different. During our stay, the elevator was not working. Walking the stairs was not a major issue for our team, but we saw senior guests struggling. One older gentleman with a suitcase was having difficulty using the stairs, and that was upsetting to see. A hotel should have a clear plan for assisting guests when an elevator is unavailable, particularly elderly guests and people with mobility limitations. We also experienced coffee being served cold or only lukewarm, and, most importantly, customer service that did not make us feel welcomed or properly cared for when concerns were raised. We don't expect special treatment because we are Night Guardians. We expect the same basic courtesy, assistance, and hospitality that every paying guest deserves. We know Hampton Inn can do much better because we have experienced much better service at other Hampton Inn locations. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, especially how guests who cannot easily use the stairs are assisted when an elevator is out of service. Hospitality is not just providing a room. It is how you take care of people when something goes wrong Sung Kim Founder Petscentralorg Dogs Lives Matter Night Guardians

Loved almost everything about it…read more Great location near outlet stores. Very nice, clean room. So many conveniences. They really thought of everything when furnishing, choosing lighting, storage. Kitchenette was perfect. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Gym and pool were nice, clean. Breakfast buffet very good. The worker very kind. Lobby area with so many seating options, ports for charging devices. (A few upholstered chairs needed cleaning or recovered but that was the only poor thing I noticed) The lady that checked me in lacked hospitality but the gentleman next to her made up for it. Overall it was an excellent stay. I would definitely stay here again. The price was great too!! Around $110 plus fees for a Saturday night. Such a win! If senior housing were exactly this with activities/classes and dinner buffet, I'd be moving in!

The staff was friendly and on point. The room was spotless after the wipe down (a post COVID ritual) and comfortable. In regards to the staff. a couple from out of state had taken advantage of the legal weed situation here in California. However, maybe thinking it was like the stuff you get from some bearded hippy in the microbus, and not the pharmaceutical grade herb that it is, they took way too much and were struggling in the common area. A staff member politely helped them to their room to sleep it off. This speaks volumes of the staff and their professionalism

The vanity area was tiny and crowded with. Fridge and microwave. The lighting was dim. There was a hairdryer. The bath towels were larger than many other best westerns. Typical breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy in warming trays. Make your own waffles, fruit, oatmeal, and yogurt. Coffee and tea along with oj. The price was very reasonable, less then $100 including tax. We felt it was a good value for the money.

Five Stars - Exceptional Value and Comfort…read more I had an excellent stay at the Best Western Desert Villa Hotel. The location alone is a huge plus--right near pizza delivery, Starbucks, McDonald's, and other convenient food options. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, which made resting after a long drive really easy. A quick heads-up: the TV volume seems capped at about 1/4, so you won't get a cinematic surround-sound experience--but on the bright side, you also can't hear anyone else's TV, so it keeps the whole place peaceful. The morning breakfast room is outstanding. The service is nonstop, and the food is genuinely impressive. The taste and temperature of everything were spot-on--fresh, hot, and clearly prepared with care. That makes a huge difference in how healthy and enjoyable the breakfast feels. Add in clean bathrooms and a helpful, friendly staff, and you've got a hotel that really understands its guests. The whole experience feels thought-out and well-executed, giving travelers the biggest bang for their buck. Highly recommended--I'll definitely stay here again.

There is a small "store" by the front desk for snacks. The room are not very sound proof, we could hear I15 noise, along with the room above us walking around. It's best keeping the door closed, anyway, so we didn't have to listen to jets flying all the time. I realized, the light in the bathroom are sensor, and after a long while, it goes off by itself. But, the fan still goes on and on and on . . . .so annoying! It's otherwise, clean, fast elevator, larger fridge, no freezer though. There's no light on the table where I am now. You can also hear the freeway, even though we've stayed in many BW, they're quieter than this. We did got 2 bottled water. The bacon in the dining room was thin, and it's the best I've had. I went back for seconds. They have cut mini waffles. I love those too. Have you tried yogurt on your waffles? Yum!
