There are no top tier hotels in Crossville, by the way. When you drive up or drive by you see the water stains on the building and the need for a paint refresh. It gives you a clue as to how the hotel is being maintained. When you step inside it smells like mildew and cleaners. However it looks good. That continues until you enter the elevators, hallway and rooms. Those show wear and poor repairs. Tattered carpet squares rubbed wallpaper and moldy grouted tubs. The removal and repair of wall damage covered by paint that isn't quite smooth and doesn't quite match lets you know why the price is where it is. Again the daily housekeeping looks otherwise good. The only caveat is smell. You can always smell the last few occupants. Please clean carpets and curtains more often. That's all I'm saying. Finally. I registered for the $50 card promo. When I called because I didn't receive it, customer service just says they sent it and it shows delivered. However they could not provide a tracking number or date. I have USPS informed delivery so I can see my mail images and I don't show it. Of course they can't cancel and resend it either. Disappointed. Back to Hampton.

I'm used to hotels having a welcoming smell, but this one was very stale/old smelling. We get to our room and it gets worse. The room wreaks of bleach. It was so bad that it burned my eyes. There was also a slight smell of vomit so I'm not sure what happened in the room or if they just love cleaning with bleach. It was also a handicap room. The clothes rod was so low that our shirts hit the bottom. We had to find an another place to hang them. The clothes hooks were so low that our jackets dragged the floor. The towel holder in the bathroom was coming loose from the wall. Didn't wanna touch it much as we worried it would fall. And don't even get me started on the extremely messy paint job!!! The shower curtain was so high it only came to my knees. So everyone raved about their breakfast (mainly why I booked here). It was not good! The sausage was spongy. The biscuits were dry. The waffle batter was watered down so much that they were terrible. It's one of the worst I've had. Needless to say, we won't be staying there again. Hoping our stay was a one-off. It was disappointing. A high note was that I slept well and the room was spacious. It is definitely a 2 star hotel!

I will start by saying that this place is great! My wife and I visited recently for a weekend…read moregetaway in the off-peak winter month of February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

A good shower is important in a hotel room, and the shower is definitely above average. The breakfast is just okay like any continental breakfast, but at least it's available. The man at the front desk moved at the speed of a snail--both times I had to interact with him. First time I came to check in, he was so slow I gave up and came back later. Surprise: still slow. He asked for my ID and credit card, then suddenly needed the exact card I paid with online. I didn't have it on me. He eventually accepted a different card for incidentals, but the whole thing was a frustrating, unnecessary hassle. I'm handicapped and requested a first-floor room. I was told they were all full, so he put me on the third floor--and the elevator was broken. No help offered. Nothing. Just a "sorry" and a room up a flight of stairs I shouldn't have had to climb. The noise was ridiculous for a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Thin walls, loud guests, and just my luck--a crying baby in the room next to me that went on and off all night. So much for getting any rest. The only redeeming quality was the size of the room and a comfortable bed. But even that was odd. The sheets weren't even on the bed--just kind of tossed there, like housekeeping gave up halfway through. What hotel hands you a DIY bed? This whole place is a mess. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere--anywhere--else.

They are receiving lots of love and attention here at the property. The location is convenient to sams club, movie theater and the interstate. The road parallel to the Interstate has all of the restaurants and shopping that you'll find here in Cookeville. But the town itself is unimpressive. But if you're going to be here, this hotel is a good choice. So far, this is the worst hotel stay I've had in the 5 months I've been on the road. I've been checked in for 2 weeks now and I've had absolutely no housekeeping. I've went downstairs and requested room service 3 times. Yesterday, I finally spoke to a manager and she informed me that housekeeping is afraid of my caged dogs. But she reassured me after my assurance that they'd be put away in my absence, that my room would be flipped. I let her know that I was away from my hotel room for the weekend and she said they were still there for the day, and here I am walking into my room, still hasn't been serviced. Seriously a bad representation of a Marriott location.
