Booked a deal on a third party app and I'd say it was well worth the stay. The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. I also like how they lock the front doors during the evening hours. I felt safe staying here. Loved the air as well. Toilets can be a slow flush and my parents room a couple times they had to activate the water in the toilet but it stayed working. I would recommend a stay here if you're in the area or passing though. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby as well. Also not too far from the freeways.

Probably the best hotel in the area... After reading several reviews, I was skeptical. I'm glad I took my chances. I needed to be close to the area of CSUEB and this satisfied that requirement. This well maintained hotel is located on Mission which is a main street which can get busy. The immediate area isn't the best but it's only a few blocks to DT Hayward. My stay was a Saturday-Sunday visit. I booked in advance. We arrived at about 2pm and were able to check-in early. Parking was easy as was check-in. We travelled with two dogs. They assigned us to a room on the first floor close to door which led to the little dog potty designated area outside. The room was a standard room with 2 queen beds. It was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to return.

Customer service at the front desk when checking in around 6 pm sucked! The smoke detector could be found in 2 places! The lovely desk chair is stuck so it's of no use with the desk. I'm still looking for the internet instructions card. I don't recommend this place! Highly disappointed!

Not bad for an overnight stay!!

My daughter and I were in Castro Valley for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. I knew it was going to be a late night and wouldn't have the energy to drive home to San Jose, so I booked a hotel a few days before. Since I wanted to rack up some points, this was the closest and cheapest Hilton hotel in the area. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a couch where I put all my crap.. er, stuff. The shower in the bathroom was decent. My daughter loved the smells of the shampoo, soap, and lotion. I'm just relieved the fragrance was not strong. My daughter's only complaint was that there was no hot tub. She was ready to go swimming but decided not to when the pool was cold and no hot tub to warm up. But she had fun watching TV instead. I don't know what channels it offers, but she found something to enjoy. There were a lot of choices for breakfast. We got up late and realized breakfast would be closing in 5 minutes!!! We ran down there and they have not put things away! Whew! They let us get our food but closed the door at 10 AM. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours! There were waffle makers, oatmeal, eggs, sausages, cereal, pastries, yogurt, and different juices. I wish they had more fruit than apples, maybe they did, I probably didn't see them because we were in a hurry! I had waffles, eggs, and sausages. It's not 5 stars, but definitely satisfied my taste buds. We only stayed here from about 1:30 AM Sunday morning to 12 PM Sunday afternoon. I have no complaints whatsoever. I was able to check in and get a digital key on my app, but the front desk still gave me a card key. From the third floor, we had a lovely view of the parking lot where I could check on my car. Free Wi-Fi. Free Parking. Woo hoo!

Review for Jan. 15, 2022 We're from L.A. traveled here to visit a family member for the weekend. All the hotel prices have gone up since the pandemic. I was lucky I had points to burn as a Diamond member so I only needed funds for the incidental fees for the night. We stayed in a 2 queen bed studio suite. The room had a mini fridge and microwave and a tv. A small desk and chair and a lounge chair and foot stool. The bathroom was clean as well. The only problem we had was the hot water wasn't working and we wanted to shower and rest before we drove back to L.A. the next morning. It took maintenance 5 hrs to fix it and we were already restless and exhausted of waiting. Finally the hot water was on. Took our showers and went straight to sleep cause we were really tired. Breakfast is complimentary Wifi is complimentary Parking is complimentary Incidental Fees: $50/night The hotel is in a pretty rough area so I would be cautious of leaving valuable items inside your vehicle. I just wouldn't stay here in the future as this was the only hotel available and only cheaper rate compared to the others. But again, I'd book elsewhere.

    Hidden fridge, microwave, and tv.

The neighborhood is fine for a layover flight. It's not your vacation spot, but also nothing lousy. It's your standard Hampton Inn hotel. Rooms were clean. Supplies were plenty. Temps could easily be adjusted. The staff at the front desk was super friendly. The colors in the room were well-balanced.

The tea cakes and savory bites were delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. Our host was especially kind and made sure we were well taken care of. There was actually a little mix-up with my reservation and it had accidentally been cancelled, but they handled it so graciously and accommodated us without any issue. They even allowed us to choose where we wanted to sit, which I really appreciated. We also added the champagne tasting, and it was such a lovely addition to the afternoon. Everything felt unhurried and enjoyable. It wasn't overly crowded when we visited, which made for a wonderfully quiet and pleasant afternoon. We even stayed a little beyond our allotted time, and they graciously let us continue enjoying ourselves without making us feel rushed. One small thing to mention: our table was closest to the ostrich enclosure, so there was occasionally a bit of a barn-like smell. It honestly wasn't a big deal for us, but if you're particularly sensitive to smells like that, I'd recommend choosing a table a little farther away. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely come back! It's such a beautiful and unique place to spend an afternoon, especially with the girls.

We just came back from a 2 night stay at Stanly Ranch and I was compelled to write a review this…read moretime because the service is a lot better than our 2 previous stays. Our first visit was in 2023 when they had just opened less than a year. We stayed in an Arbor Cottage, which was the standalone cottage with a super spacious and luxurious bathroom and outdoor shower. Second stay was in 2025 in which we stayed in the Rambler, which also had a spacious bathrooms and outdoor shower and back patio. Downside was that our room was located all the way at the top of the hill by the employee parking, making it a trek to and from the pool. Our most recent stay was in a Acre room, which I think was the best for our family. It was quite spacious with living area but the bathroom was much smaller than the Arbor and Rambler, with no outdoor shower. But in all honesty, it was perfect because my boys cared more about the swimming pool than anything else. During this last visit, we were immediately greeted by Tom, and Isiah helped with our checkin. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. Our previous visits did not have such a warm checkin experience. I also appreciate that they put us in a room closer to the pool. There really is no reason to leave the ranch once you're checked in. The food onsite is incredible, but pricey (it's nominal considering you're already paying a lot to stay though). I will admit they used to have a great deal where kids eat free, and I wish they brought that back. And a must try is the lavender morning bun from Gavel! It's perfectly flaky, smooth, sweetened just right with the lavender sugar that isn't overwhelming. I wish I had bought more to bring home! Overall this is a wonderful resort worth the splurge, especially for families even if it doesn't seem like it at a first glance. They have a shallow kiddy pool as well, and lots of activities for kids on site. There's also breathtaking views from the adults only pool at Halehouse and from Infinity Hill. Totally recommend the splurge if you can!

A guy next us said 'It only takes one spin to win' and we took that a little too literally lol. We played a variety of the machines, but the most luck we had was with the Top Dollar Machines, the others weren't lucky this time around. While we only left up $30, we spent 3 hours of fun just playing away. Something I haven't seen at any other casino was a free soda and non-alcoholic drink areas! It's Pepsi products though, so not the best, but at least it's free. I saw people ordering smoothies, which looked really good but we never stayed at a slot machine long enough to get one. We came on a Thursday, and it was bummer that there was only (1) blackjack table going with a $5 minimum. I walked by multiple times and there was never an open seat. Plenty of seats of pai gow or poker though. Maybe it was just the time of day, but definitely would love to try my hand at blackjack next time around.

They were setting up for Karaoke (Friday/Saturday nights). There's so much to explore with all the knick knacks. The playlist in the dining room area was a wide range of music - I don't know how to explain it but you're listening to "It's a Small World" and then "Sweet Caroline!" You have to see it for yourself. The gender assigned restrooms are located in between the pinball machines. I literally walked outside and then walked back in when I finally found it and was embarrassed! Food: We split the special of the day - prime rib sandwich, but my husband was still hungry and we split a sampler platter. The food was what I expected - pub grub but it was worth it with the vibe. Drink: I usually don't drink but their cocktails were really good. I forgot what I had but it was the rum based drink. We ate two servings of bread an do bitter while we waited for the entrees. The filet was tender and seasoned well in addition to being cooked a bit over medium, had a large portion of spinach and mashed potatoes, and came with the same red wine reduction sauce as the mushrooms which we found a bit odd. The minutely seasoned halibut has to have been the tiniest piece of fish we've ever seen served and only had six small potato quarters and like 6-7 stalks of asparagus with it. Overall, we ate everything because of the small halibut entree, but will most likely not return. I suggest the owners have more than one server on a Friday night, For everyone's sake.
