    Budget came through for me. I don't rent cars that often but when I do, I try to rent from Budget when available. I knew I was going to be in Los Angeles for 1 night and needed a car to get around as I had to make multiple stops while there. I reserved a very basic, small car for my short stay in LA. When I flew in to LAX, I rode the Budget Rental Car shuttle bus to the Budget rental car office. When I arrived at their location, the line was a bit long but it moved very swiftly. When I got to the counter an gave my reservation number, they didn't have any small basic, economy rental cars available but I ended up getting a nice upgrade - a VERY nice upgrade! The funny thing was that the agent was a bit apologetic and asked if I was ok with a Dodge Challenger. I was like; hell yes! Hand me those keys now! :) :) :) The car was clean an ready to roll. I did everything I could to avoid getting speeding tickets as it's a very fun car to drive. Since my car at home is a new Chrysler 300C, this car was easy to operate all the controls as they're in the same place. It's basically the 2-door version of my car. When returning, everything went smoothly an best of all, there were no surprise fees of any sort. All their staff was friendly, had good attitude and overall, very pleasant to do business with. Shuttle van was already there when I returned the keys the following day an I was off to the airport in less than 10 minutes. I've used Budget in Rental Car in 14 different cities, in 5 different states and in 4 different countries. They have always treated me well and I've never had issues like with a certain other rental car place with a green 'e' logo. I'm too nice to say that company's name. I'll certainly rent cars from this Budget location next time I'm in LA for a short time. Don't change a thing. Keep up the good work LAX Budget!

    Maybe I got extremely lucky, but I had a surprisingly excellent experience with Budget Rent A Car last time I visited SF... minus the 10 minutes they spent trying to upsell me. We booked a compact car through Priceline and got a great deal ($171.98 for 3 days). At first I was worried that we were assigned to Budget based on the negative reviews for the other locations. I was half-expecting to get an old Pinto. But by the time the whole experience was over, I couldn't have been happier! After landing in SFO, it took maybe 15 minutes get from the arrivals terminal to the car rental area using the airport monorail. From there, it was less than a 5 minute wait in the Budget line. When we finally spoke to the salesperson, she initially told us our car wasn't ready yet, but she had a convertible available if we wanted. Of course, we would have to pay a higher rate than what we were quoted by Priceline... I politely declined and told her we didn't need a convertible, and a simple compact would be just fine. She continued to push for the convertible and offered several other vehicles as well. Again, I politely declined and told her we only wanted a compact to get around the city. By the time she was done with her sales pitch (and me having to decline at least 3 more times), our compact car was magically ready for us. Yay! But then came the additional sales pitches about rental insurance and refueling... Again, I politely declined. (Just FYI, most car insurance policies will cover their insured driver even for rental cars. Make sure to check with your insurance company first. Also, don't bite on their "convenience" refueling plans either. Unless you absolutely can't spare 10 minutes to refuel your rental before dropping it off, it is not worth paying their outrageous prices.) Fast forwarding to when we finally got our car... They ended up giving us a brand new Ford Focus with less then 400 miles on it. The car was super clean inside and out and was fun to drive too. It was bone dry of options, but thankfully the A/C and radio worked! Automatic windows too! Returning the car was trouble-free. We simply dropped off the car, they did a quick inspection, gave us our paperwork and we were on our way. It took less than 10 minutes. Moral of the story... Be patient, be polite and don't fall for their sales tricks and you should be okay.

The cars are located in a large warehouse, so they are out of the sun and are not baking hot. They have you fill out a damage form to show any existing issues with the vehicle and then hand it to the attendant on the way out of the lot. I made sure to be very detailed in my walk through, just to be safe. Returning to the lot is simple, just pull in on the same road the shuttle came in on. The lot attendant will take the keys and finish up the transaction. The shuttle back to the airport picks you up from a canopy by that driveway. Overall, it went well. Just make sure to give a little extra time for transportation to and from the airport.

Since you're reading this, do us all a favor: when it's your turn at the counter, 1) have your license and credit card ready; 2) NO you don't want insurance -- it's a ripoff and your own carrier will cover it; 3) NO you don't want to pre-pay for fuel and "bring it back empty" -- it's a ripoff and there's plenty of cheap gas within 10 miles of LAX; 4) NO you don't want an upgrade; 5) NO you don't need a Toll Pass. Well, maybe you do, but it's gonna be a ripoff. That's it: we're all waiting behind you, so step up, pay, take your keys, get out. Fox does not employ enough agents for every driver to have an in depth discussion about rental options. Stick to the script, hit the road.

My vehicle is currently in the shop, so this rental was intended to be a comparable loaner. I chose the LAX location specifically because of its size, assuming they would have better inventory options. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After returning my vehicle, I waited at the customer service desk for two hours. The process was extremely slow, and the overall attitude felt nonchalant and unresponsive, and no rush and do not care. After all that time, I was ultimately given a downgraded vehicle, which completely defeated the purpose of coming to a larger location. I also attempted to contact Enterprise during and after this experience, but there appears to be no effective system in place to resolve customer concerns. Every representative I spoke with deferred responsibility, promising escalation and follow-up "within a few days." It has now been several days with no response whatsoever. There was no acknowledgment of the excessive wait time, no effort to accommodate the situation, and no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. Here take this car this is what we have. I ended up going to Avis Rent A Car, where, as a Preferred Club member, I received significantly better service and immediate assistance. To be fair, the new LAX facility itself is very clean, modern, and well-designed. However, the customer service and communication structure do not match the quality of the building. Enterprise needs to do better particularly with communication, accountability, and timely resolution of customer issues. Response to Jean that was done no results after 4 days, no results just overall a negative experience. Simply responded contact Woodland Hills . Sent support a complaint online just as suggested no better!

    I am extremely disappointed with my experience renting from SIXT…read more On May 3, 2026, I rented a vehicle from SIXT and drove from Las Vegas to Los Angeles without any accidents, incidents, or damage to the vehicle. After I returned the car, I was unexpectedly charged $1,049.73 for two tiny marks on a door panel. I do not accept responsibility for this alleged damage and believe the claim is completely unsupported. SIXT has not provided any evidence showing that these marks were not already present before my rental began. They have also failed to provide pre-rental photos proving that the damage occurred during my rental period. Despite the lack of evidence, SIXT is demanding more than $1,000 from me. In my opinion, if a company intends to hold a customer financially responsible for damage, it should be able to prove that the damage did not exist before the rental and that it was actually caused by the renter. I am formally disputing this charge and am prepared to pursue all available legal remedies if necessary. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in SIXT's damage claim process. My advice to anyone renting from SIXT: take detailed photos and videos of the entire vehicle before and after your rental. It may save you from facing a similar situation. Arrived early morning and there were 5 customers in line with only 2 people working at the counter. The woman who served me tried to upsell car size and then sneak in minimum insurance despite me telling her I have full coverage under my own insurance. She made me call my insurance company and when I asked if she wanted to speak to them or them to email a declaration of some sort, she brushed it off ie., finally accepted she couldn't charge me the extra fees. After a long flight, the last thing I needed was a pushy salesperson.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. The customer service rep was on her phone playing games while taking our information. At one point, it honestly felt like we were interrupting her. She then told us that purchasing their insurance was mandatory, which was never stated anywhere when I booked the car online. Things only got worse from there. When it was time to bring out the 12-passenger van we reserved, she informed us it was under recall and that it would be hours before another one might be available. Her solution was to offer us two cars, but by then we had already been forced to pay for the insurance, and getting two vehicles would have doubled our cost. We ended up waiting a very long time for the van. We were thirsty and uncomfortable, and the only bright spot was a kind worker who offered us water. Considering the inconvenience--especially at a newer location--I would have expected at least some sort of discount or acknowledgment, but nothing was offered. Because of the delay, we missed our Dodger game and then got stuck in traffic on top of everything else. Be careful when booking here and always call ahead to ask about hidden fees and policies.
