I used to rent here all the time but now... NEVER AGAIN! Beyond unproffessinal. 1. The place is filthy 2. Staff was either high and/or completely incompetent 3. I was the only customer yet it took these morans 45 mins to get me into a car 4. Had no cars available at the price point I reserved. They assured me this was a positive thing since I would be receiving a complimentary upgrade. However, they kept trying to give me a sports car or an electric one after I told them numerous times neither of those cars would work for me. 5. Once they finally dug up a car for me it was filthy. Mind you at this point I'm LATE for an important business meeting. 6. The car had almost no gas in it which left me in a pinch because I was now late for a meeting and would need to fill up the car 7. The owner was sitting in his FILTHY office and was completely useless when I was getting visibly upset with the situation 8. The cherry on top was discovering the next day that the tire was damaged and having a mechanic tell me I should not be driving on it. I was told a car like that should never have been rented out to someone. I had to take time out of my business trip two hours away to find another Budget location and swap the car out for a safe one. 5 stars to the Grand Rapids Airport location for being top-notch. 9. My final complaint is that the final charge on my credit card was $165.16 MORE than they told me (and what's on my rental agreement) at the location. THIS LOCATION SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. We made a reservation for a car in September to get a car in November. When we went to pick it up they didn't have any cars. They stated that maybe they would get one before they closed since it had been paid for. They stated that they had to cancel everybody. Nobody from Avis contacted us. read more

BELIEVE THE REVIEWS DONT RENT FROM HERE I booked a reservation June 15 for today called around 1015 to ask about the parking situation if I would be able to leave my car there while I use the truck for the day. I am informed that he had not only not seen my reservation. He has no trucks available. He tries telling me I must have booked it last night because he has no trucks available and this is for a an 11 AM pick up for a cargo van. Booked JUNE 15th for today JUNE 17th I'm now supposed to wait for a callback from him for a local trucks in the area. With no time estimate. I am moving TODAY Horrible customer service. What's the point of booking a reservation if nothing is available and being told that he's never heard of it. I wish I would've checked yelp before I rented here. Worst customer service ever. They were not helpful at all when an issue with the car arose. I called several times to ask for help and no one would help and when I asked for a credit they acted as if I had not come into the center twice and called multiple times. Shitty cars. Shitty people. NEVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! Rented a vehicle from them to drive to Ohio. Went to pick it up, and the first car they gave me 2 of the tires were low. The second car they gave me the check engine light was on. The 3rd car was dirty and the service oil and tire light was on but it was their last car and I had to take it. They didn't offer any apologizes or discounts. After returning the car I called back to ask a question about my bill and and employee was very rude, raising his voice , as if I had no right to ask a question. Rental car had to be taken to the shop the very same day by me . Needed all new brakes and tires! Repair shop said car was not safe to drive. Owners turned around and rented the same car out to someone waiting for a car behind us. The car was filthy and the owners did not care out lives we're in jeopardy at all!!!! My family rented a filthy car from this location this weekend. The office was empty except for 2 employees, one of whom stepped right outside the front door to smoke. I had reserved a Subaru Legacy or similar, through Costco, but was given a Nissan Maxima instead (good thing it wasn't winter and I wasn't counting on the all wheel drive!). The car was filthy - dirty windows (inside!!!), dirty doors (inside!!!), dirty cup holders- the cleanest thing was the trunk! It wasn't worth the money - so dirty inside that we opted to ride in a family member's car instead of taking the car that we paid for!!! Never again. Need better quality control. read more

The owner is racist, horrible, incompetent, and a jerk. Prepaid $500 for a rental and was told to blame budget when I got there and they were out of cars. He told me to blame corporate and that he could care less. He stated they took prepayments for 177 cars and had no cars on the lot. I told him what my emergency was and why I needed the vehicle. He was non-empathetic proceeded to argue with me about how he could care less, then refused to attempt to help me find another vehicle or issue a refund. Stating "That's not going to happen". He over talked me and shrugged it off basically it wasn't his problem. Word to the wise steer clear. Run. Don't spend money here unless you have it to waste. read more

Rented and SUV on 11/14/20, ended up with mini-van because that is all that they had. Even when I made reservation days earlier. No problem. Take vehicle with 3/4 tank of gas. Return with full tank. Filled up less than five miles from the return location. I was charged for not returning the vehicle with a full tank? WTH? The told me the fuel charges are automated and that it was a mistake. This location refused to help...National Office is trying to scam their way out of it also. If you have the misfortune to have to use this location GET A RECEIPT. When I turned it in they told me I didn't need a receipt. So buyer beware! They are running a scam operation. I am now a former customer of Budget. Should have paid the few dollars extra and went with HERTZ. read more

Absolutely worse rental experience I have ever had, and I've was a road warrior for over 15 years. I used this place for a personal rental to drive out of town to TN and boy was I disappointed. First they tried not to honor the entertainment coupon I had which after review from Budget Customer Service they should have done. Yes, I had to call them to get anything done, because everyone at this facility either is incompetent or they flat out just lie to your face. They actually had me call them back at the location after I picked up the car to give them the coupon number again, which was never added. Thank you for nothing Ms liar, Mary Lou! The car interior was FILTHY...why would it be customer service's job to clean a car at a facility? I took it that way because I was pressed for time not knowing just how bad it ended up being. We put our suitcases in the trunk and unbeknownst to us it was covered in MOTOR OIL!!! Three shirts and one suitcase ruined and what was this location's response? Call customer service and make a claim...We had words at the counter with another incompetent fool Mr Lazy , Ralph. They gave me the wrong number for claims...again because they weren't willing to provide basic customer service or know how to clean a vehicle. LAZY, INCOMPETENT clowns. After about 2 hours on the phone with customer service and claims I finally got someone to 1. honor the original agreement and 2. agree to take care of the damaged items caused by the lazy, incompetent, lying thieves at this location. Currently I am contemplating legal action against this location, but it should be noted that Budget is in no way to blame for any of the issues I've ran into. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS LOCATION. Can I give zeros stars? We reserved a truck to move. Came in to get the truck we reserved and turns out they over reserved 4 trucks. Terrible customer service in the office. Employee mumbled the service number under his breath. Called. They can't do anything but email somebody else and MAYBE get back to you in 2 hours. Absolute crap company. The owner sits right in front smoking a stingy cigar that you cannot avoid taking in smoke. I complained and asked the counter dude with dreads, who responded, "it's the owner so he can do whatever he wants; and some things are better left unsaid". I said you have to be kidding, I have a right to say what I want, as a customer who's opinion should be valued especially to an owner. I then went to the owner I expressed my concern of having to take in smoke, he flipped out and both double teamed me in a hostile exchange of words. As I walked away toward my car, the owner FOLLOWED ME still yelling at me. Very dirty, unprofessional and no respect or customer appreciation here.
