They will try to charge you for anything they can (e.g., cleaning fee of $250) and don't do so until 2-4 weeks later. Take pics of the gas receipt and gas gauge after you drop it off too. They charged me when I returned it full and I had to show them it was full via my pics. If you have your heart set on the car in your reservation, look elsewhere as the nature of these small locations is you basically just get what's available that day. But my recent experience was very disappointing due to inconsistent information about Mexico travel insurance. I needed a rental to drive to Mexico for a funeral. At pickup, an associate informed me that Hertz no longer offers the insurance needed for travel to Mexico. I didn't argue--I understood the policy may have changed, and we made other arrangements. Then, about a week later, my friend wanted to travel to Rocky Point (Mexico) and reserved a vehicle at the same Hertz location. I told her what I was told the week prior, and she said she spoke to a live Hertz operator who assured her the coverage was still available. So she went to the Tempe location--only to get the same answer from the same associate as I did. My friend then escalated by calling customer care, and after that, they ultimately approved the rental with Mexican insurance coverage. I naturally became upset about the inconsistency--because when I needed the car for my funeral trip I was told it wasn't offered--I was met with attitude. The associate basically told me I should assume it wouldn't be available next time, even though it was provided to another customer just a week later. I'm leaving this review as feedback because customers deserve clear, consistent communication--especially when we're dealing with time-sensitive situations like travel for a funeral.

It was Saturday late and most off site rental places were closed, but one. Avis @ Temple Honda was open to 6pm. Beverly was very accommodating and able to finish the transacting within minutes. She provided us with a Brand new Chevy Cruze with unlimited mileage. Upon my return, I asked her if I could get a ride back to my hotel which was about 6 miles away. I do Salem when some heavy-duty grime has hit the car, and it definitely got the job done! They have I believe 4 Bays available to wash, and most vehicles spend no more than 5-10 mins so the wait isn't so bad. The nice thing is the bay takes a credit card, but be advised to monitor your time as you're doing each item, as it will continue to roll and charge after the base time provided. It's pretty straightforward if you've ever used one before. Make sure to actually switch & push stop and cancel on the dial when done. For this recent trip, I spent about $5 & yes, I managed to scrub off all of the bugs in the front and hit on some other areas that the typical car wash misses (unlimited wash one). When I'm done, I didn't stress too much about cleaning the interior or drying it down and just drive it over to the unlimited place and let them deal with it when I have time. The location is important to me and one of the few that offers/has a "touch" approach to cleaning the car at a very low price.
