He even told me how to bypass the annoying AI chat customer service if I needed to contact them on the Hertz phone number. This guy gets customer service and no issues whatsoever with this location. In and out in 10 min. You do have less selection and the cars are stored in a normal strip mall parking lot. I can't speak for coming here when it's the weekend or more packed. If you have your heart set on the car in your reservation, look elsewhere as the nature of these small locations is you basically just get what's available that day. Go to the airport location if you are very picky about your cars.

To try and avoid the usual issues, I even had an executive customer service representative (Laura S.) reach out to this locations manager two weeks prior to my rental to ensure everything was set. None of it mattered. I still arrived and was given a Ford Expedition instead. This has now happened multiple times with different hertz locations, so clearly reservations -- even with corporate involvement -- don't mean much at this location and others. The condition of the vehicle made it worse. It was dirty, worn, three different brand of tires and had over 60,000 miles on it -- not even close to what you expect when paying for that class of vehicle. Here's the part that really pushed it over the edge: I returned the vehicle to the airport location, and somehow I was charged a cleaning fee. That's right -- I was given a dirty vehicle and then charged as if I returned it that way. As an employee stated it's just big and dirt baked on by the Arizona sun. On top of that, trying to contact the location was a joke. Calls were being unanswered or immediately hung up. Between the wrong vehicle, poor condition, lack of accountability, and being hit with an unjustified cleaning fee, I'm done. I've already canceled multiple future reservations in 5 different cities and will be taking my business elsewhere. If you actually expect to receive the vehicle you reserved -- or even a clean one -- I would strongly suggest looking at other rental companies.

Their driver, Alex, that picked us up from Crash Champions to get our Enterprise rental and drove us back after returning the rental was so pleasant. Tucker checked us out and was equally efficient and personable as the rest of the individuals I interacted with. I would recommend this Enterprise service site to anyone.

If you do rent from them, then take tons of pics in and outside the car while at the rental area before to take it and after you drop it off. They will try to charge you for anything they can (e.g., cleaning fee of $250) and don't do so until 2-4 weeks later. Take pics of the gas receipt and gas gauge after you drop it off too. They charged me when I returned it full and I had to show them it was full via my pics. Now, I'm doing everything I can to pull their contract from my company b/c I don't want my colleagues to suffer as I did.

I reserved a car on Monday to pick up after work & after I dropped my car off. I was able to pick up my rental car pretty quickly. The reason for only 4 stars is due to the return. I turned the rental car in on Thursday after work. It took a long time to return it. They were busy, but I really wanted to get in & out in a timely manner because I still had to go across town to pick my car up. My car isn't fixed yet, so I will need to most likely rent a car two more times until my car is fixed. Hopefully pick up & drop off go quicker the next two times. Most recently, I rented a car for a week and after taking the train to the rental car center, I was able to skip the desk and head straight to the Emerald Aisle to pick any available car. I would highly recommend setting up an account with National and taking advantage of this.... being able to skip a line at the counter is a blessing. In any event, we went to the aisle, picked out our car and were off after a brief stop at the gate to check everything. Return was also quick and painless. Josh did a thorough inspection of the car, which we returned with a full tank and in pristine shape, and we were on our way in no time. It's amazing how frictionless the experience can be, as opposed to how awful other companies (I'm looking at you Hertz) can make it. I highly recommend National.

I've rented cars from this location several times now and it's always quick and convenient…read more There's a shuttle to and from the airport that's relatively quick, and there is a gas station not too far from this place too. The staff are friendly and professional. I've had them offer to give me a bit of a discount when something inconvenient happens, and I'm glad they have that authority. This last time the car I rented had a lot of fingerprints on the windows and the carpeting in the trunk of the car was stained. There was also a splotch of something in the cupholder (I didn't try to remove it so I don't know how stuck on it was). That said, it didn't affect performance of the car and overall I still enjoyed driving it. The pricing seems okay. I think there are cheaper rental companies, but some of what I pay for is convenience. I'll keep using them when I visit Phoenix for work.
