As a homebrewer and a craft beer aficionado, I have a lot that bothers me about the beer industry and Anheuser Busch itself. But it is in a way a symbol and icon of American life and a cool story. The stables for the Clydesdales was a highlight, the tour itself a bit boring. But the thing I admire most about the Bud brand is its consistency and machine like ability to deliver a popular product. Regardless of whether or not my hope is that the craft brewers cut into market share and people open their palates to better tasting beer, the whole place is still impressive. And although the tasting room was very unattractive, I was still salivating for a cold one on the house by the end of the tour. read more

Great free tour! We are impressed with how many beers they actually make. The free tour takes about 30 min. We enjoyed the tour and the information. There are other longer tours that you can sign up for that cost money. During the free tour you get to taste either Bud or Bud light. At the end of the tour you are also given a token where you get to select a free beer at the Biergarten, which is where the tour ends. There are lots of beers to chose from and you can also order food. I would recommend the tour to anyone visiting or living in the area. read more

The guide talked about both the history of the company and how the beer is made. The highlight of the tour is seeing the horses at the very beginning though. Can't beat it. 10 bucks. Beer tasting class takes place upstairs in the classroom. Fun and informative. You learn the best way to enjoy different beers. ie wheat beers, i never knew what that silt at the bottom of the bottle was! :) You get a certificate at the end with your name on it and bottle opener. Yeah yeah, it's AB's. I know the beer elitists would never think to come here but there is something stunning about those humongous brew barrels and learning about the history of how AB's came to be. The tour guides are friendly and humorous. Plus, you get to see the Clydesdales! And of course there's the 2 free beer samples at the end. They will usually have some seasonal beers on tap (we had a pumpkin wheat recently) so you're not stuck with regular Bud. Tours are first-come-first-serve and you need to pick up a ticket to enter, so it may be worth coming a few minutes early to ensure you get a spot, especially during the busier afternoon hours. read more

This tour was very informative and fun! I highly recommend doing it if you are in the area! I'm not a Budweiser drinker and I never realized how many other beers are under the Anheiser-Busch umbrella! Only complaints: it was 15 degrees out and the last part of the tour was told outside, but we had to wait for the group (which was huge) before we got started so we ended up standing there for like 10 minutes. Everyone was visibly FREEZING and the poor tour guide could barely speak correctly due to the bitterness of the weather. The line to get a free beer was INSANE. It took us about 25 minutes to get up to the bar. There has got to be a better system then 50 people on the tour fighting to get to the bar with all the others who are just eating here with the waitresses fighting through the line to deliver drinks. Was pretty crazy, not sure that waiting was worth it for a free beer! Other than that A+, the grounds of the factory are so cool and historical! read more

We had a great time at the brewery. You can find what ever you could dream of Budweiser or other brands in their gift shop. They tour was very nice. The brewery is kept very pristine. You start off with a visit to the Clydesdale stable to see several of the horses. You then proceed through the steps of the brewing process and walking some of the grounds of the brewery. You end up back at the beer garden where you get a free beer. Overall experience was wonderful and I recommend if you are in St. Louis, take the time for a tour. read more

This is a 90-minute tour of the working brewery. We visited on a Saturday. The factory seemed deserted, but the operations were going full blast. The highlights were the Clydesdale horses (kept in meticulous stables), the visit to the bottling plant, and of course, the tasting room, where visitors are given pretzels and a choice of 25 beers on tap to sample. This is my 4th time touring the brewery and had to bring the boyfriend while here on vacation. The tour was interesting as usual, very cool to see the different stages of the brewing process and our tour guides Emma and Mackenzie were helpful and funny, very entertaining. We did see the Clydesdales but only from afar, last few trips we were able to get up close while in the stable. You do get free samples with the tour, which is also free so you can't complain, but I do remember you used to get several glasses at the end, not just one. You also get a small plastic cup about 1/2 way through the tour. Overall a must-see for the newbies in town, great experience not to be missed! read more

We celebrated a birthday at the private fire pits at the Brewery Christmas Lights. It was a great set up and night. We could sit out side and make s'mores or grab a bite and a beer inside the Old School House. The brewery looks beautiful at the holidays and it was a great night. Regular tours are free and every 15 min. But my recommendation is for the Beer School. You get the inside scoop for how beer is made, what the diffs are amongst the various ales and lagers are AND you get samples!!!!!! You get to sample four diff beers and then you get a certificate reminiscent of a 'Good Behavior' award from Kindergarten. After school, you go to the stables where the kleidesdales are. They're massive!!! Next is the tour of the factory where the beer is actually made and processed. Unfortunately, the escalator broke that morning (they must've known I was coming lol) and we got a sped up Cliffsnotes version. The day got brighter because when the tour was over, you got to have more beer! Surprising huh? read more

I actually went on this tour a year ago, but I had to make sure to leave a review for it on Yelp! Probably one of the coolest tours I have ever been on. For starters, it is very cheap for what you get to see and sample. They do not treat you like customer but more like important guests. Basically you get to view and tour almost every square inch of their facilities. I would have to recommend purchasing the Brewmasters tour, its a lil more money but very worth it. The highlight of the tour is when the guide tapped the 20,000 gallon container and we were able to drink unpasteurized Budlight. It ended at a lounge and she let us drink as much as we wanted for what seemed like a 20 minute time period. Take advantage of the gift shop, everything is priced right and they are not trying to rip tourists off. read more

I've never been a beer drinker, but I am a dork and I like to know how things work. This is why I went ahead and did the AB tour when I had some friends in town. It was really interesting to see how the brewery has grown over the years and how they actually go about making the beer. This is a good thing to do when you have out-of-town visitors. It's also nice (not for me, but for people who like beer) that you get 2 free samples at the end of the tour. Loved it so much, we came back the next day! Saturday was super busy, so the (free) tour we wanted was all filled up. Instead we paid the $15 for the Beer School tour and loved every minute! Learned a lot about some of my favorite beers with an awesome view--and not to mention lots of beer to sample! We went back on Sunday for the Free Walking Tour where we got to see the Clydesdales and the brewing process and were treated to yet another sample of beer. Then naturally I spent a ton of money in the gift shop getting souvenirs for friends back home (and myself). I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is a lover of beer!
