My office manager said the staff member who took her order was very pleasant on the phone and helped her sort the orders when she went to go pick them up. I got the quesobirria tacos supreme which came with rice. I opted to not have beans since I wasnt a fan of beans. First bite of the taco and omg. One of the juiciest and flavorful birria tacos I've ever had. The sauce that you dip it in was also amazing. We got big portions for the price paid. My coworkers got a variety of items such as shrimp tacos, chicken fajitas, etc. Everyone was blown away by how good and fresh everything tasted. The reviews lived up to the hype! I would have given this place 5 stars however my gluten intolerant coworker got sick from the shrimp tacos (they must have had gluten in it) so please be careful if you are gluten intolerant. I had high hopes for this place. We were craving Mexican on our way home and spotted this gem. The service was very kind throughout the entire experience. It was the food that let me down. The guac was sooo good. I could eat that all day. On one plate we said no cheese and the beans had cheese sprinkled so we scooped that off. For some reason I just expected more flavor, even in the salad. It was basic and that does not sound like Mexican food and flavors. The shrimp were covered in something that I thought would be the thing that have the salad a kick but it was not. I also did not like that they used the tiny shrimp and still didn't devein them. We love this unassuming little Mexican spot on West Ave in Wayne. Small storefront and probably about ~10 tables inside so not a big place but cute interior with painted tables and nice booth seating. It's byo and they do have marg mix if you want to bring tequila but the food is obviously where this place shines. You get the classic free house made chips and salsa but don't sleep on the guac - sooo good and fresh!! We could eat a whole mixing bowl of it. Their tortilla soup is also bomb, especially on a cooler day. My mouth is watering just thinking about it... For entrees, I always get the pollo al cilantro and its perfection. I want to try other things but just can't help myself! My boyfriend rotates between fajitas and burritos and is always happy but the steak fajitas are probably his fave. Portions are big, prices are reasonable, and service is also solid. The hard working waitress is friendly and attentive and we always feel welcome. Our only complaint? What I like most about this restaurant is if you say spicy, they will spice it up. There must've been close to 1000 chili flakes on top of my burrito. My husband and I picked up a bottle of tequila nearby and ordered a pitcher of their margarita mix - not the best but I really didn't have any expectations there. We ordered chips and salsa to start and wow was that good! The salsa is chunky but saucey at the same time. It set the right tone for the meal because if a Mexican place has bad chips and salsa they are an automatic no thanks in my book! We then split the chicken mole enchiladas and the tortilla soup. The soup totally stole the show! I haven't had tortilla soup quite like it before - it had an amazing broth, chunks of fresh avocado, and the flavor was just the best. Buena Vista was a bit smaller than I expected, and not as fancy as I thought it would being in the heart of Wayne, but places like that are really more my cup of tea, so it suited me just fine. My carnitas and chorizo tacos were perfect, as were the rice and refried beans. The chips and salsa were good too, though I felt the salsa could use more flavor. It was definitely lacking in this neighborhood for some fine burritos and enchiladas, and this place luckily delivers the goods. Chips and salsa are a la carte and the chips are extra thick and crispy. I have had both the vegetable enchiladas and the shrimp tacos. I recommend either of these options. But the only choice for sauce in my book is the mole. They do have other choices but why not get the mole?! That's my favorite part of the whole dish! As you can see in the Q&A section of the yelp page they do offer a free margarita with a purchase of a meal. Food is decent like all other Buena Vista's in the area, but the customer service here is significantly lacking. The lady in the front of the house doesn't understand customer service. We go there once a week and today i mentioned to her that she forgot to give me salsa last time I did take out. It turned into a 5 minute argument from her side on how she absolutely did put salsa in, how the food gets packaged, the organization in the kitchen etc. She's a junior person, robotic in her "rules" and lacking the very basics of customer service know-how. The salsa on the side costs $1. It wasn't going to break the restaurant to acknowledge that they did forget it last time. All I was looking for was a "sorry we missed it". We ordered from Caviar, and they decided that because they ran out of the flan that they ordered, they would replace it with dulce de leche instead without asking us. I am gluten sensitive and don't eat cake. It was wrong for them to replace the item and still charge us without asking. Aside from this, the food is just ok. My wife and I have been going to El Limon for some time and we love the place. When Buena Vista opened down the street we decided to give it a try. Well, we were so happy we did! We both ordered the cheese enchilada lunch special and were really happy because the enchiladas were perfectly cooked and the ricr and beans complimented them perfectly. The only thing we will do next time we go is to order from the regular menu because we could have had a larger portion. The desserts were equally great. My wife had the Tres Leches and I had the Churros with chocolate and ice cream. Blown away!! We went after lunch and found seating right away. My mother and I stopped in during quite the busy day. It was the Wayne Music Festival and every restaurant was packed. We wanted to sit outside and we were happily accommodated. Our chicken quesadilla was so delicious, packed with big juicy pieces of chicken. When we were finished we didn't want to linger too long at the table so that they could get more customers but they made sure to let us know we were absolutely welcome to hang out at our table as long as we wanted. Real Mexican food in the heart of the main line. Although not visible from route 30(Lancaster ave) this gem is mere steps from work for me and a great spot for fast service and quality food. Since it's opening my staff and I have already visited 5 times! The taco salad is piled high with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, onions, refried beans, corn, guacamole (no extra charge!) sour cream and salsa. The edible shell is always crunchy even when ordered to go and not at all greasy. The shell is a great tool when broken off into pieces to turn your salad into nachos and is large enough to share. The enchiladas lunch entree plat was also a large portion. 2homemade enchiladas stuffed with your choice of meat and or veggies and smothered in the sauce of your choice ( we went with mole) which was an excellent pick! Rice beans and a small "salad" made this another great plate to share or perfect for leftovers. The space is colorful and brightly decorated.
