I will be dreaming of these tacos. I searched birria and this is the first place that popped up. Don't let the outside fool you, it's tucked in behind a bigger building and it's inside the pizza shop but that was easily the best birria I had on the east coast. The corn tortilla was actually crispy which was a big bonus in my book with the perfect salty bite. The shredded beef was beyond bountiful; so savory and perfectly balanced with the fresh onion and melty cheese. The consume was rich with perfect notes of acidity and spice I double dipping into the hot sauce which made for a perfect bite. The green onions were killer not everyone does that super good. Barely finished 2 tacos they are stuffed! 3 tacos and a soda came to $20, well worth it. Also customer service was good, the guy at the register and cooks were friendly and welcoming. As the youths say, "Very 'mid' " The 4.6/5 Yelp score persuaded me to try this place instead of our usual favorite, El Limon. We ordered the shrimp tacos, the veggie tacos, and a large side of guacamole. The shrimp tacos were the worst I've tried. Three tacos each with approximately one underseasoned shrimp cut into tiny pieces, topped with chopped tomato, jalapeño, onion, and a tiny bit of cilantro, drizzled with chipotle mayonnaise. The shrimp was tasteless and the portion was tiny. The pico de gallo was as average as it gets. Not to mention the tacos at El Limon come with beans and rice for the same price, these did not. I got takeout and had homemade corn salsa, pickled jalapeños, and hot sauce in my refrigerator, thank god, because these tacos needed some flavor. My boyfriend ordered the veggie tacos and didn't say much other than he disliked them and proclaimed Lili's a "one and done." read more

Did delivery but it was a beautifully season filling chicken, beef birria, and taco platter we ordered and it was filling .Grab this on the way home you will be ok, after a 9 hour shift... Never skimpy on fillings, it was really delicious. read more

Best taco. That's all I can say - it's located inside Pesto Pizza so we got a bit lost on the way there. There's no dine in; everything is takeout but there are several local parks with picnic areas. We came in with low expectations (cus you know - it's not the most ethnic area in town) but we were blown away. They legit threw it down in the kitchen. Got the Birria taco, al pastor, shrimp .. really digged the grilled green onion bulb they provided. Food was legit and overflowing with flavor. Taco orders come 3 per order and range from $13-17, and are so worth it. Highly recommend if you're around the area! read more

Months later and I'm still thinking about this meal. I got the Asada Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, Chicken Fajita, and Fresh Authentic Guacamole with Chips. I don't usually find myself raving about Mexican food much or finding it filling, but this was very memorable. The flavors were all rich and distinct from each other. This was super filling and lasted two meals for two people. I think my absolute favorite out of everything was the shrimp tacos. I think I just need to go back and order the same exact things because they were that good! read more

Lili's Fresh Authentic Mexican is a good option for tacos when you are in the Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania area. The tacos are full of flavor and the portion size is good, as well. Prices are not horrible, but I thought they were a bit high. It might also be that living in Florida, I have gotten use to eating great tacos loaded with protein with a price point of like two or three dollars. Since this was my one Mexican dining experience here, I do not know if the prices are competitive. All in all, a good place to head to if you are looking for some good tacos. read more

This one is a hidden gem - literally. Nearly impossible to find unless you know what you are looking for. They are located in the back of pizza place (zestos). The only thing indicating they sell tacos is a 12" decal on the front window. That said, once you find the place, you won't be disappointed! You can't go wrong with any of the tacos (chorizo, steak or chix), but I would recommend the combo. We also ordered nachos the portion was silly - container probably weighed 3 lbs. they we messy but very good as well. Prices we very reasonable. It is take out/delivery only with no place to sit outside or nearby. Simply put, if you are looking for a good no frills taco joint, this is your spot! read more

Amazing amazing Mexican food. INSIDE Zesto Pizza. We drove by 2 or 3 times before my daughter saw the sign in the window. This is a mexican menu inside the pizza place. The food is absolutely fantastic. Chicken nachos packed the takeout container completely full and the tacos were all amazing. Fish, Shrimp, and Al Pastor. Really authentic taste and fantastic flavors. Much better than anything I've had in the area. I've had to go to South Philly for better tasting authentic Mexican food. Today was Cinco de Mayo so some friends and I decided to try the local Mexican place. We all ordered birria tacos and the meatless nachos to share. The tacos were great! The corn shell had a nice crunch and the meat was great. Dipping it in the consume sauce made it the perfect meal. The nachos were a bit underwhelming but we were all full anyways after the tacos. Lilis is my new favorite spot for Mexican food! Pictured below I have three items I recently ordered- tacos al pastor, tacos de carne asada & enchiladas de mole. I love how fresh the food is & how quickly it is prepared. I called for pickup and the food was ready within 15 minutes. The tacos had an excellent flavor my favorite were the al pastor! I used the salsa verde which had a incredible flavor, they even put fresh avocado in the sauce! The enchiladas de mole were to die for!! I am very picky about mole sauce and the sauce was spot on!! Stopped in here today after my wife and I were craving Mexican food after a hike. We found it by doing a Google search-took a bit to find the place because the sign above the door says Zelda's Pizza-drove by it about 4 times...walking in I thought the food could be really great or really, really not great-It shares the same store as the pizza place and Mexican food/ Italian pizza aren't really two styles that work out well together-but there were a lot of cooks really hustling so that was a good sign, I thought it was worth a shot. We ordered chorizo tacos and mole enchiladas...the food came out relatively fast (it's take out only) and when opening the containers the food looked very promising. Well-made, fresh looking and smelled great. Turns out, both entrees were great. Really dang great, in fact. It's hard to find good Mexican food out here in the burbs (El Lemon in Conshy is worth a stop) but what the frick-where has this place been all my life?! It was awesome and if it turned out they make their own mole sauce and chorizo sausage I wouldn't be surprised. Black beans were very good and the rice as well. Nice added touch to the tacos was a couple of roasted green onions. Will definitely be passing through again. Thanks!!! read more

I've had this twice. Ordered birria tacos both times and they're super tasty. The second time I ordered was cinco de Mayo and I don't think they were prepared !! It was busy and must have ran out of guac because what I received was not close to guac!! Even with that hiccup, I'd still go back! Third times will be a charm and the food was tasty! read more

We needed a better Mexican option in this neighborhood. Menu is extremely limited but affordable. I have ordered twice from here. Guacamole and chips is great, can be made not spicy for kids. Carne asada and al pastor tacos are so delicious that you could eat all three if you didn't pay attention. They serve the tacos with a grilled onion garnish, which is very different but excellent. I think their nachos are meant for sharing because you get a mountain of crispy tortilla chips smothered with meat, cheese, jalapeños, etc. It is absolutely amazing how even the last chip is crispy. read more

This place is literally inside Zesto's pizza in Bryn Mawr. There is a small sign now but there or hint of its existence. Whomever is making the food knows exactly how to make authentic Mexican. The absolute highlight are the handmade salsas. Both green and red are amazing. Guacamole and chips is good too. The tacos are authentic, not dressed up with junk. The mole enchiladas are good, i prefer a little less spice more sweet in my mole but it's good. The green ones are good too. It would be nice if they added an option for steak with cooked onions, for some moisture, a typical Mexican addition. The nachos are the absolute highlight. I've been continually disappointed by Mexican food since moving to PA. Lili's was such a breath of fresh air. Absolutely delicious food. Period. I went simple and just got some tacos with "green sauce." Both the tacos and the sauce were really inspired and so different from the mexican chains in my area. The pictures were deceiving, but in a good way! I actually got more than I expected based on the pictures. The menu is not very extensive, but that's completely fine, in my opinion. My house is a loyal Lili's customers because the food is amazing and the most authentic Mexican I've ever had, but we recently experienced their amazing customer service as well. We ordered tacos on Cinco de Mayo and their was a slight delay in getting the delivery. It's a big day for Mexican restaurants so we knew they were most likely slammed. My wife and I ordered from here because we were craving Authentic Mexican food but we're unable to drive and it was the most authentic looking place in delivery range of us. We got the Al Pastor tacos, Chicken enchiladas, chips, guacamole, and an additional side of rice. Overall cost before tip was $50+. Our entrees were only ok. We were expecting the chicken in the enchiladas to be tinga but it seemed to just be boiled chicken. The tacos were ok but on the lower end compared to other tacos I've had. The biggest disappointment was the rice (which we got extra of) and the guacamole. The rice cost $5 and both smelled and tasted weird. We didn't even bother eating it. The guacamole was $10 and tasted like lightly salted avocado paste. It blew me away that it was even being sold like this. We tried to eat it because it was $10 but ended up throwing 90% in the trash as well. We will never be ordering from here again. There are cheaper & better authentic places within 15 minutes of us that we'll be driving to when able. Unable to leave a review on Uber Eats or Google, which I find concerning. read more

The very small portioned chicken dish (priced the same as the wagyu meatloaf) was dry and flavorless, and seemed as if it had been barely reheated in the microwave. The star of the meal was the meatloaf: perfectly seasoned with the most delicious, moist, and tender texture. But this dish was served with a very strange rubbery bacon covering some asparagus. The potato puree was very well executed, not gummy or over whipped, but silky and delicate. Strangely, the vegetables were also highlights: perfectly crisp grilled asparagus and Brussels sprouts. The most offensive dish of the evening was the dessert in the form of an apple crumb described as "flaky" and "buttery." I am not exaggerating when I say that this tasted like an Ikea cafeteria dessert that had been stuck in the display case for a month. Truly the most abominable, rubbery, dense, dry dessert I've ever had. I'm shocked they had the audacity to serve this. Service was mostly excellent, but we were confused as to why another table had the specials recited to them when we didn't. Perhaps this is decent place for happy hour, but I wouldn't recommend a full meal here.
