She told us she had been there since shortly after the diner first opened. Unfortunately, she also explained that the building is scheduled to be demolished so condos can be built above the property, and they are unsure whether the diner will be able to return afterward. It's honestly sad to hear about a place this good possibly being pushed out because of rising development and rental costs. I understand building owners want to maximize profits, but it's disappointing when small local businesses that people truly enjoy are forced out by higher rents and redevelopment. When we come up to Winter Park/Fraser/Granby, Wake N' Bacon is our favorite place for brunch! While the wait and dining experience can sometimes be frustrating during busy ski season, in the summertime there's less of a wait and a much more relaxed experience. Our favorite dishes include the My! Pot Pie and all the Bennies while the kids really love cruising the donut/pastry case. We've always found the service and the food to be excellent, and love the unique/different menu items at Wake N Bacon
