Another great find. (Actually asked Remember When about other stores in the area) I got lost in here for about an hour and a half the other day. An amazing assortment of records of all genres. Very well organized and all the racks are alphabetical. I added a couple dozen to my collection and will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area. Despite grabbing a couple dozen, I know I left at least twice that many still sitting in the rack. I will back to grab another stack of them in a couple of months. OK record store on Spring Garden (in the lot across from Freeman's). Big lot but not many spaces dedicated to the store so you just have to figure it out. It's a fairly good-sized store with many records for sale but I would say 95% are old records and "oldies"....pretty much majority pre-90s music. I was looking for some R&B records but was shown a very very small spot for them - and they were all old. Service is ok, the owner didn't really bother us much as we browsed. Value is quite high for some records but some decent. Also sells old record players, speakers, etc. Def. Has an "old" store feel to it read more

Excellent selection and staff is incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Great prices especially on used vinyls.

Nice shop tucked away but easy to get to. Lots of used vinyl divided up nicely by genre. A little pricey on some stuff but very well priced on others so I guess that balances out. Lots of rarer items on display and it had a decent vibe. COVID precautions are still in full effect here so be prepared with a mask. read more

Probably my favorite place to buy vinyls, and I've only been here once! I was in Greensboro for Thanksgiving and wanted to check out some local shops. Buffalo Boogie popped up and I thought I'd give it a whirl. What a time to give thanks. I'm a huge fan of The Band and had been searching for months for a reasonably priced copy of "Cahoots" in good condition. Buffalo Boogie delivered that, as well as "The Basement Tapes" with Bob Dylan. I was milling around and Mike, the owner, was stopping around with every customer, making sure they were finding what they were looking for and making conversation in general. As I was carrying around my goods, Mike asked if I watched "The Last Waltz" yesterday, as the concert was performed on Thanksgiving 1976. I said that I hadn't had a chance, and Mike informed me that HE HAD ACTUALLY BEEN AT THE CONCERT!! I was in awe, he even took time to show me the handbill that he received while entering the Winterland Ballroom. I talked with Mike for a while before taking off. Super awesome place with a great musical diversity and an awesome, caring owner. Can't wait to visit again when I'm back in town. read more

Called the owner looking for record shipping boxes because I can't find them anywhere. He said he had some and to come in. Drove all the way from Winston Salem and when I got there and found what I needed. He said he needed them and wouldn't let me have any when I literally called and asked if he had any and he said I could have some. He wasted my time. read more

I went to Buffalo Boogie Records yesterday and I'm very glad I did. Wow what a great shop! Fantastic records and very affordably priced. It was by far the best record buying experience I've ever had and wish I'd checked it out earlier. A relative of mine recently gave me her stereo system after she upgraded and I'm slowly building my collection. I found everything I had on my list and a couple of others Mike suggested relating to the artists I was searching for plus others I hope are still there on my next visit. The vinyl was in beautiful condition and everything was well organized by genres which range from current Indie releases to vintage vinyl spanning decades. Mike was extremely friendly and took the time help me locate everything I was looking for. I strongly recommend Buffalo Boogie Records and will definitely be going back there soon. read more
