I loooove Buffalo Exchange but the staff here was unfriendly, nothing was organized, and virtually everything was stained. Pass.

Yay!!! Finally a buffalo exchange in the Alamo city! Great place to find vintage clothes and shoes for a good price. I've been going to buffalo exchange in Austin since I was in my rebel teen years and it still appeals to me now in my laid back 30's. Just an example of how buffalo exchange has something for everyone, wether it be old dead kennedys t-shirts or a corduroy dinner jacket they got it all! They also have cheap shoes and boots and accessories for sale as well and the staff always seems eager to help you find whatever you're lookin for. My only complaint is that there is way more stuff for the ladies!!! Only about 30% of the store is guys stuff but it was still a great selection of good quality secondhand surprises. They will also buy your old used clothes if ya wanna make some cash and clean out your closet. Just don't try to exchange a buffalo as they won't take it. love this location! I came here to find vintage pieces and did not have a lot of expectations. They have so many clothes to choose from, old and new. I walked out of this place with the most beautiful vintage top ever, black with gold embellished all the way through, for only $7! Great deals! First and foremost, its now an outlet location so they do not buy merchandise. They have some awesome vintage clothing as well as new pieces! There is a selection of clothing and shoes available for both women and men. The selection of jewelry and accessories is extremely limited. I have been to a few Buffalo Exchanges in my life across Texas, New Mexico and California and this was my BEST experience yet!!!! I am in the process of moving into a smaller apartment and have to downsize my wardrobe. I did not know there was a Buffalo Exchange in San Antonio so I decided to try it out. My experience there was amazing! They took a thorough inventory of my clothes and were very knowledgeable about brands, trends and vintage clothes. I was especially impressed by their knowledge of vintage items. It is hard to find people that appreciate vintage in this way and I was so happy that my beloved vintage was in good hands. They bought some of my clothes and passed on others but explained their reasoning. They were so pleasant and I actually had fun in the process. That never happens to me! This courtesy was not limited to me...every person that walked in was greeted nicely and their clothes were treated with respect. No hurt feelings!!! As for their inventory, they had some great stuff (especially purses and shoes)! I could not shop because I am trying to clean out but I will definitely pay it a visit the next time I am in San Antonio for some shopping! All around great experience and I am happy San Antonio has this Buffalo Exchange! Everyone should check it out! read more

Stained. Pilled. Frayed. Torn. Tacky. Worn through. Tasteless. Target or Walmart brand. Most of the clothes in this store fit more than one of the above descriptions. The clothes I have in the back of my car to donate to the homeless shelter are more stylish and in better shape. Don't waste the gas to come here. read more

The store is totally changed. It is now the close out center for all of the other BEx stores. Prices are uncredibly cheap. $4.50 for a top. Selection is good, with all kinds of clothes cycling through - real quick. Be aware - this is a thrift shop experience, with more clothes in tiny and large sizes. These are the clothes that did not sell in the other stores. Also, I think the inventory is backward to the season. In other words - selling summer clothes in January and winter clothes in July. read more

Hip thrift shop. Not huge, but large enough to keep you perusing for at least a half hour, with plenty of quality brand named items. Most were in good shape, though many items were put back due to the price. Not too high to keep me away though. read more

My favorite place to shop in San Antonio! I have a huge collection of fierce, name brand shoes thanks to this place. Nothing is above $7 and they get a lot of name brands...you never really know what you're gonna find. I didn't see anything at Buffalo Exchange that I couldn't get at Goodwill and spend less money. They advertise as vintage but I didn't see anything that would fit that word. I might have been in there longer but when I tried to ask questions the hipster staff ignored me. I won't be going back. It was the day before a 70's party and I am the host for the party and I don't have an outfit to wear. I called Buffalo Exchange and the lady that I spoke was very confident that they had a 70's outfit for me. I'm not a small guy by no means. 6ft 1 and solid. I walked into the store and immediately, I found a 70's jacket by Sean John and a paisley shirt by Daniel Cremieux. Also found a nice pair of Old Navy stone-washed jeans!!!! Only paid $51.00. Wow!!!! TIming was perfect I was leaving work and they were about to close for the day. Then I was given suggestions about where to find some retro shoes.
