I love coming here on Tuesday's when they have half-priced traditional wings! I typically order the small traditional wings with the Asian Zing sauce with a side of fries with Cajun seasoning, and I always have plenty of leftovers. However, service is a bit hit and miss. Matthew is an amazing server so I tend to ask for him if he's available, but the other servers have been a bit disappointing. In the handful of times that I haven't had Matthew as a server, service has been excruciatingly slow and frustrating. In my group of 3, our wings took around 45 minutes to arrive because the server accidentally gave our order to another table. We've also had problems with getting our waters refilled (we sat with empty cups for about 20 minutes), and with our wings arriving room temperature. I'd normally excuse all of this if the restaurant were really busy and full, but they've always been about half full with a couple of servers standing about. Overall, I'd like more consistent and attentive service and a little more focus on keeping the food warm, but I'd still recommend stopping by for half off traditional wings on Tuesdays. read more

I have never been to BDubs before, but I have heard that they are a little pricey and service is slow. Nonetheless, I went here last night for an organization meeting. In total, there were 7 of us. First of all, service started slow. It took about 1.25 hours from the time our party arrived to when our food was served. By this time, our water cups were completely empty, and our server did not offer to refill it or come by with a pitcher for the REST OF OUR stay. Secondly, 4 out of 7 of our orders had some sort of problem with them (no sauce, extra side given when not ordered, undercooked meet, cheese when asked for plain burger) and a couple of the orders had noticeabley lukewarm food. When the checks FINALLY arrived (another 1.5 hours later), one had to be reprinted 4 times because it kept containing errors (charged for side not ordered, charged another person's order, etc). Overall, the food was very mediocre (tenders and fries) and incredibly overpriced. I will not be returning to this location due to the abysmal service and the mediocre nature of the food. read more

I am so happy to have a Buffalo Wild Wings downtown finally! I have been here a hand full of times since it has opened and have had a great experience every time. The staff are all very nice, and seem happy to be there and the food is delicious, hot and comes out pretty quickly. It is very clean as well. My go to is the boneless wings with spicy garlic, if you like garlic these will be your best friend. I have also had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, I was a little afraid to order a salad at a wing place but it was actually delightful. The grilled chicken was seasoned perfect, and the salad tasted great! They also have great beer specials as well as great happy hour deals. A handful of appetizers are $4.50 and beers are a few dollars off. They also have a beer of the month, it's currently Budweiser. You can get a large for $3.75 you can't beat that ! I'm a business traveler, so I appreciate having a place I can watch out of market games, grab a cold beer and have some wings near the hotel. The food is solid...not great, not bad. All three times I've sat at the bar and that's where things go south. The blonde female bartender w/glasses is just awful. She is more focused on talking with co-workers and doing her side work, than being a bartender. Each time I've had to wait 10+ minutes to even get acknowledged and place a drink order (not crowded). Its another long wait before she comes back to to take my food order. Two of three times she has failed to provide silver ware and I've had to flag down a floor server to get some. She checks in so infrequently you're always waiting to place your next beer order. The last time i was there i had to wait almost 20min to get her attention to close out my tab. Really enjoyed the vibe and interior of the area. So glad they built a location downtown. The parking is small and the facility but it have a great design inside and out and of course the wings and food is spot on like any buffalo wild wings area. This Buffalo Wild Wings is an added necessity to downtown Birmingham. The location is not as big as I expected but it is a nice size. The food was brought out promptly and was hot. I did not like my alcoholic beverage that I ordered. It was served in a tall glass full of juice and no liquor. I am sure the Tito's vodka I ordered was in there somewhere but I couldn't tell. This was my second visit here at the new location downtown. It's got great seating outside with lots of TVs of course. The inside has a different look as far as the decor compared to the older Buffalo wild wings. The first time I came here the wings didn't have enough sauce and when I brought that to their attention they mentioned that other people have been saying the same. I came back today for the second visit and the wings definitely had enough sauce on them. Sauce is very important on wings!Our waitress was very honest with letting us know about the taste of the new flavor of wings that they were offering. We normally get the chips and cheese with chili but this time we tried the fried mushrooms and they were awesome. They had ample parking all around and it didn't take long to be seated. I've loved BWW for the longest time, until today (12/28/21). I made a takeout order only to find that my wings had a wad of hair in them spilling out of the box. I called the restaurant, explained the situation, and I was not taken seriously. They were very standoffish about it all and while it wasn't verbally said, they must have thought I put the wad of long blonde hair in the wings when I have short, jet black hair. I went back to see what could be done, and I'm really disappointed. As someone who works in the restaurant industry I fully understand that health code violations are NOT taken lightly, but clearly this location does not understand that. I preferred the Thai Curry but I'm a curry fan so no surprise there :) The decor and build is mindful of the downtown placement. This will have a SICK patio in summertime. Parking is easy but will get tight quick when they are busier. For it being the second day that is open, I'm certain this rating will improve. I stopped by for lunch today. I've been here a few times before covid. The service has always been a bit slow each time I have been here. I have always sat at the bar so you think service would be faster...but no. The bartender was too busy eating and talking to other staff members. I'm guessing it was the manager came over and got my drink order. He was nice! I just got a Diet Coke. The bartender then came over for my order. Yay for a BWW in Southside!!!! We ordered take-out from here last night from their website online (super easy and user friendly ++). The place looked really nice inside (and it was packed) when we went to go pick up our order. The order was ready on time and it was right as well (yay!). They even show you your food before you leave! We got home and our wings were still hot and very tasty. My fiancé ordered the boneless parmesan wings and medium and then I ordered tradition spicy garlic and salt and vinegar. I love love loveee sauces so when I taste a good sauce I am so happy! All 3 sauces/rubs were ON POINT. The parmesan wings had this beautiful thick creamy, perfectly herby, salty parmesan cheese bite to them and were fried perfectly so the crust was not even a BIT soggy once we got home. My traditional wings were cooked perfectly as well but they skin did get a little soft by time we got home so next time I will make sure to ask for extra crispy (and maybe even extra wet). The spicy garlic was the perfect more medium than hot heat for me with an umami flavor that made you lick your lips. The salt and vinegar ones were tangy and perfectly coated as well. Will definitely order take-out from here again and would go with a group to eat in the restaurant. It is also nice that they have all of their nutritional information listed online! After countless visits to this location and others over the years I can honestly say that this is the worst establishment I have ever dined at. Came for lunch on a Friday afternoon where there was barely any people inside. Server (cant remember his name but had a black LA hat and Adidas fanny pack on) was obviously high. Spoke very quietly and moved extremely slowly. Left our refills up on the counter and I had to ask another server to bring them back. Waited for 10 minutes after I asked for the check. After I gave him my card, he took it to the computer and began filling cups for a large party next to us. Waited forever to receive the card, another 10 minutes, pretty sure he forgot. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait, which was fine, however after 30 minutes of waiting we followed up to ask how much longer it would be and they did not pay us any attention. After that, we were overhearing the hostesses complaining about having to bus a table. They proceeded to find the party that had just left of all adult men and told them they "eat like children and need to stop." I was appalled by this behavior so our party went elsewhere to eat.
