London was our server, and she was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. She got our drink order out quickly and even brought us a second basket of their delicious rolls without us having to ask once she saw how hungry my sons were. That alone earned major points in this family. All of our meals were prepared just as ordered, and London consistently made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The entire experience felt warm and welcoming. The manager, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, also stopped by the table to check on how our meal was going. What stood out most to me, though, was that the host who seated us, our server, and the manager all wished me a Happy Mother's Day. We visited this location on a Sunday night . The wait was an hour. This place gets pretty busy. The bread is always hot, fresh and good. If you want peanuts, you have to ask for your table . It wasn't super clean but wasn't unbearable. The service is good and the food was great . Ok, today was not a good day for us to visit. We have been here numerous times but today was the worst experience we have ever had. We joined the waitlist prior to arrival which was great. Our server Kevin, was one of the best we've ever had. But the food and the manager spoiled the day. I asked about buying a gift certificate before I purchased anything so I could pay with my meal with gift certificate before. I've done this numerous times at a ton of restaurants but I was told that I couldn't pay for my meal with a gift card that I purchase on today! Really! That is ridiculous and our server apologized but I told him that it wasn't his fault. She even looked directly at me and turned her head. Our food presentation today was below standard. On this day I had a fair wait, but I called to be put on the waitlist, so it was over quickly. We sat in a booth to the back of the restaurant, so it was quiet on Tuesday evening. I ordered chicken critters with a Sherley temple. With entrees you receive two sides, so I got a side salad while my friend got a side of vegetables. The amount of chicken we got was more than enough for both of us. Overall, the rolls and main entree were very good. The theme of the restaurants is always on point. We both got the rib eye steak, medium rare. There was a light pink inside the steak and we'd prefer fully pink (not red) inside for "medium rare". It was very good, only needed a kick in flavor for us which the steak sauce on the table added what we wished for. Two sides come with the entree which were fine. The Caesar salad was very good , the melt in you mouth complimentary rolls were amazing and our tasty $5 frozen strawberry margaritas were a great surprise! They are small but mighty! Saben was our server last night and she was so attentive and personable. She suggested some good drinks to start off with. I even let the manager know when he came by, but she was a great waitress. She had a big party behind us, but she still kept our drinks full and our bread coming. I'm so in love with that cinnamon butter. It was a little crowded. Each of my family members had somewhere to sit with a good amount of space to eat. The server was very polite, patient, and ensured that we had plenty of drinks and appetizers.  I ordered the 6-ounce sirloin and grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes. The sirloin was well done, and the mashed potatoes were cooked just right and came with gravy and onions. However, when it comes to the shrimp, it was a bit overseasoned and wasn't that pleasant. Its beyond me why there is only one Texas Roadhouse in Birmingham. Its always crowded and there's always a wait. We used the app to "join the waitlist". We entered that before we left home 25 minutes away. Said we would have a "20-25 minute wait". Sounds like a plan. We checked in when we got there. The place was packed and we had to wait about 35 minutes for our table for 4. So even using the app, be prepared to wait. That was not an isolated incident. Anyway, we started with the fried twisted cheese. Nothing special but we had a free app. I love their salad, bite sized lettuce, cheese, eggs, tomato and great dressings. Steaks arrived cooked almost perfect. It was just a tad overcooked (it was wedge shaped, so one side was cooked more than the medium rare I ordered) but had great flavor. This is one of my favorite steak places. The place is always fun and entertaining. Don't come in your birthday or you will be the "show". How can I forgot the rolls? Had lunch here today after church. We started with an onion blossom. Delicious,hot and fresh. At my table we had a filet, chicken, grilled pork chops, salads and a kids meal.
