So unfortunately today they were super under staffed. (We know this because the manager came out to offer us chips and explained this). But after sitting for 45 minutes and having a single staff member other than the manager talk to us, we left. People that got there 20 minutes after us were getting served btw. The manager we spoke to was very kind, and we were willing to wait a little bit because of the staffing issue, but truly this was ridiculous. Husband had to go find a staff member to get us menus. I'm a Buffalo Wild Wings fan. We even took an Uber to get here and enjoy a few drinks. It's surrounded by plenty of other restaurant options. Cookeville is poppin' lately! I've been to countless locations, and I think this was the worst one that I've ever experienced. When we walked in, we immediately smelt an odd smell. Later we found out that it was coming from the men's bathroom. My husband said that he practically gagged from the smell, it literally smelled worse than a porta potty. I smelt it again, when I walked past it on the way to the women's bathroom. It was horrible! We should've left right then and there, but we didn't. We sat at the bar. Although the bar tender seemed to be on top of things at the bar top tables, surrounding the bar, she wasn't attentive to us at all. Usually you can ask for samples of the sauces, but when my husband asked her to let me try TWO versions of sauce, she all but rolled her eyes. I just said never mind and ordered a chicken wrap with crispy chicken at the medium buffalo flavor. I actually liked the sauce, but the chicken was grilled and cold. I chalked it up since there was lettuce and such that might've cooled the chicken down. My husband ordered boneless chicken wings, and they too were cold. He sent his back, and they graciously fixed him new ones. They have a happy hour with some good deals (I posted a picture). Watch your receipt though. We came in at 10 pm and the place closes at midnight. We ask if we could sit on the side of the partition with fewer customers due to the crowded noise level nearer the bar. We were told by a staff member that this side had already closed yet we saw ppl getting their orders taken. I tried to explain to the server my son has issues with noise and it was just way to loud by the bar. She finally after the third time said we could sit on that side if we didnt mind them vacuuming. There were at least 20 ppl still seated on this side & I told her we didn't mind the vacuum. By this time we had stood there to the point my son who is on the spectrum had became uncomfortable and we had to leave. This place does nothing with the high ceilings and completely open seating. The service here was horribly slow, it appears as if this establishment cant keep seasoned servers or the servers frankly dont care about there job. Thats not the worst part, the smell inside this building is horrendous, and smells like a dirty teenagers clothes hamper, SOUR. We ordered fried pickles, a side of buffalo chips (fries), and wings. The pickles were pretty good and it's hard to screw up fried potatoes, so they weren't an issue. The wings are where the problems were. We ordered 4 different kinds and they were all incredibly soggy and soggy wings = fatty mess. I'm thankful that Lisa (server) was quite personable, gave great recommendations, and delivered the order correctly. I hesitate going to BWW because it's just hard to pay $1 per wing. For 10 wings, I could go next door and have an entree with 2 sides (Logans) or across the street to the Golden Corral and have a full buffet for the price of the small wings. We started out with two orders of the fried pickles which are always fantastic! I had the All American Cheeseburger with Cheese Fries. The Burgers where tender and juicy! The fries had more than enough cheese on them! I wish some of the other restaurants would take a page from your book when it comes to that as I've been less than impressed with cheese fries every where else! I came here with a pretty big group on sunday to watch the Tennessee titans home opener, and was very disappointed in how long it took to sit down. We ( eventually) ordered the usual wings and things ect.. they had the games we wanted to see but not on very good screens. Wile I was waiting I found their bar and was surprised at there great selection of Beer ordered the darkest beer they offered witch was a type of Ye Haw Brew made in Johnston City TN.
