Excellent service. The place was clean and smelled good. Our cocktails were well-made and I was glad to see a 'local' beer on draught (Calfkiller). Our side salads were BIG, very fresh and just the right amount of dressing. Baked potato was a bit underdone, but not by much. Our filets were excellent, cooked just perfectly and if you compare prices with other steakhouses in the area, these were a great deal. Lobster tail was undercooked, and for some reason every place in the area that I've ordered one they've been undercooked. Anyway, overall great experience. Very typical Texas style steak house, food, service all Ok or better. The issue is the blatant ADA non compliance in the bar area. The counter area that has been lowered to accommodate wheelchairs and disabled patrons has been illegally converted into a waitress/ cash register station leaving no ADA access as designed. Furthermore the maneuvering area adjacent to the ADA lowered countertop has been converted into a storage area for restaurant supplies. If an actual ADA complaint was filed the fines would be in the thousands. Whoever is in charge over there should address this matter before some pissed off disabled person files a complaint. The non compliance is so blatant that punitive damages may be in order. read more

We don't have them in TX anymore so when we find one we always eat there. Love everything about them Started with their delicious brown bread. It's always so tasty. Hubby and I both decided to get the steak and shrimp combo. 8oz steak with 8 grilled shrimp. We both ordered cooked medium. And they came out perfect. I do not like seasoning on my steak, and they cooked to accommodate me on that And the sides were really good. We also got TX tonions as appetizer Because we're from Texas, and we know they're delicious Our server was really great, she made sure we had everything we needed , and then some. My boyfriend and I were very excited to try this place for the first time. We go in and are seated immediately. Typical western-style restaurant, nothing fancy. Our waitress gets over to us after 5 ish minutes, which is fine. Pretty standard. We get our drinks and she's back out another 5 mins later for our food and appetisers. We order our food and get it within 20 minutes, which again, not bad. I was very excited to try this corn on the cob, but biting into it was almost disgusting. It is too dark and just tasted burnt. I understand it maybe being a little dark, but this TASTED burnt. The steak wasn't bad at all but was very very salty. We asked the waitress for a to go box and waited probably 10 mins for it which was silly since they weren't very busy at all. Not a great experience but could have been worse. read more

We was seated right away at a very busy time. The waitress here was very attentive and didn't even have to write down our order, she has a great memory. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they came out perfect. I added strawberries to my salad and they were so fresh and delicious, one of the best salads is here. Fresh big cuts of lettuce, romaine and spring mix. I also ordered the floss filet with a lobster after asking her how the chef was tonight, she replied very good. I like my steak just medium well, pink in the middle. The steak came out burnt, totally way too done. The lobster tail was cool to the touch, I will not eat a cold tail. I was afraid of this that's why I asked her how good her chef was cause I don't have time for them to make it right, I could've ordered chicken instead and avoided this whole confusion over a medium well steak. Friendly front staff but something isn't right in the kitchen. The pork chops are always way over-salted (multiple visits). The baked potatoes were overcooked (one previous visit), and the salads always have way too much dressing on them (multiple visits). The tonion was over-salted this trip as well. Love these guys. Even during this Coronavirus scare Longhorn was serving curbside. But just to illustrate how they went over and above, they allowed us to sit on their patio at a table that they brought outside. Items were served in disposable Togo boxes, but that really impressed me that they did everything possible to make our dining experience a memorable one while traveling out of town. We've been to this restaurant twice in the past month while traveling for our business. We had Steve as a waiter and he was very good and listened to my order as I can't eat certain foods. The Cookeville location has great food and great service. The atmosphere is laid back, sports on the big screens behind the bar, and not loud on a Saturday afternoon. Our waiter was quick to our table and retrieved our drink orders. Our party order salmon and mashed potatoes; field green salad covered in a generous portion of salmon; sirloin and broccoli and the strawberry pecan salad. Each entree was very generous in size and was prepared and delivered to our table in a perfect presentation. I personally had the field green salad covered with salmon and it was perfect. The green were very fresh and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The restaurant was very clean and the restrooms also were well maintained. Waitress suggested Well because she said their medium well would be too red. So I went with her suggestion. Steak was way over done. Definitely no link but definitely dry. Shrimp didn't have much taste and the butter wasn't really smokey. Salad was fresh and crispy. Soup was pretty good. Super nice staff. Clean restaurant. We were tired after a LONG day of riding and just wanted a quick dinner. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I had some new sliced steak on top of mashed potato thing. It came out cold the first time, sometimes it happens. The bartender took it back right away and then the manager brought a piping hot (so hot) replacement and took it off the bill without me saying anything. The Chicken and Strawberry Salad that my partner got was tasty. It was also ENORMOUS. they had a couple of good local micro brews and the bartender had some great stories about the staff. read more
