My boyfriend and I were very excited to try this place for the first time. We go in and are seated immediately. Typical western-style restaurant, nothing fancy. Our waitress gets over to us after 5 ish minutes, which is fine. Pretty standard. We get our drinks and she's back out another 5 mins later for our food and appetisers. We order our food and get it within 20 minutes, which again, not bad. I was very excited to try this corn on the cob, but biting into it was almost disgusting. It is too dark and just tasted burnt. I understand it maybe being a little dark, but this TASTED burnt. The steak wasn't bad at all but was very very salty. We asked the waitress for a to go box and waited probably 10 mins for it which was silly since they weren't very busy at all. Not a great experience but could have been worse.

We was seated right away at a very busy time. The waitress here was very attentive and didn't even have to write down our order, she has a great memory. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they came out perfect. I added strawberries to my salad and they were so fresh and delicious, one of the best salads is here. Fresh big cuts of lettuce, romaine and spring mix. I also ordered the floss filet with a lobster after asking her how the chef was tonight, she replied very good. I like my steak just medium well, pink in the middle. The steak came out burnt, totally way too done. The lobster tail was cool to the touch, I will not eat a cold tail. I was afraid of this that's why I asked her how good her chef was cause I don't have time for them to make it right, I could've ordered chicken instead and avoided this whole confusion over a medium well steak. The service here is magnificent. The steak and lobster tail came out perfect on the second go around. Five star all the wayyyy. Excellent!! Even though it wasn't right in the first try.

Food and service is Great! A very clean restaurant, my husband ask for well done and he definitely got it. He got a cheeseburger, it was a month full. I got a Chopped Steak w/mushrooms and onions and I received a salad and a sweet potato.

    Great atmosphere.

My husband and I came for my birthday supper. We had steak and lobster tail. It was all delicious! Our server, Donna was friendly and very responsive. We enjoyed the meal and shared the ice cream sundae that I received for my birthday! Would always recommend the great food and friendly service! Great ambience!

Food was delicious, the wait was too long. Management provided a coupon as an apology for the delayed food delivery.

Great steak, it was very juicy and tender, the antler lights were really nice looking, and service was excellent.

Decent food I guess. Not one of my favorites. If I want a steak in Cookeville there are a couple places that are much better.

We were excited based off some of the reviews and pictures, but ended up disappointed. I kept trying to find reasons to make the visit better, but everything just fell flat. For starters, the staff wasn't attentive at all. The hostess went to sit us outside as requested, because it looked so relaxing from walking up, upon entering the outside, many people were smoking (cigs, not vape). I'd don't mind if people smoke, but I don't want to eat a meal with it lingering around. We then went back inside and they sat us in the corner by the drink station/kitchen. Throughout the meal, the waitresses gossiped about their lives and their customers while the table next us a waitress was wrapping silverware. Our waitress didn't arrive for like ten minutes and then took forever to bring our drinks back. The vibes were just all off. Like they all wanted to get out of there and not be around each other. It wasn't even late. The food was average, nothing spectacular. We got a burger and the fish and chips. For a traditional pub, fish and chips should be one of the best things on the menu, less than par. The beer cheese soup was a highlight. Very good. We also ordered some type of pear cheeseburger. Different, but not bad. I'd try something else if I were to return. The decor is traditional pub meets modern hipster vibes. Hard to screw up. Although, limited beer options. Only 4 drafts for a pub is kinda weird. The good news is there's a brewery next door. Like I said, I was optimistic and excited. I don't give a lot of bad reviews but this one didn't hit the mark. Considering there are many other options within walking distance, I'd try something else if I were you.

Our server Rachel was quick to greet us, friendly, and helpful. Brick walls, wood block sculptures, and old black and white photos of the town serve as decor, making the place very welcoming. A couple rounds of local beers started us and then we were off in earnest. The fried pickle spears were just as perfect as we remembered. Huge, hot, sour, and delicious, served with dijonaisse dipping sauce. Everything we ordered was delicious and each person at the table thought theirs was best. A smoked ham, cheese, and fig sandwich... cheese quesadillas... pork belly sliders... steak and mushroom wrap... all great. Our only disappointment was the gumbo. It tasted more like a bland bean soup. No seafood flavor and non existent seasonings, but even that wasn't enough to bring this place down. We cannot recommend highly enough!

Our server was great; one of the most friendly I've ever had. Sadly, that's about the only thing good I can say. It took 20-25 minutes for food to come out (and the restaurant was almost empty ??? why so long? ). The taco wrap was just plain pathetic. They need to hire someone who know how to prepare hispanic/Mex food. It was cold, cheese wasn't melted, and no seasonings. Just sad. Fried green tomatoes were greasy with a strange texture. Wife's meal was OK but nothing special. Sorry SS, go back to what was tried and true before you closed.

We stopped here on our way home. This place delivers precisely what it promises: a lively, casual,…read moreroadhouse-themed steak-and-grill experience. Walking in, you're greeted by the signature rustic wooden decor, energetic country music, and the unmistakable buckets of peanuts at every table (with shells encouraged on the floor, which is all part of the fun). The atmosphere was very upbeat and family-friendly, making it a good, reliable spot for a relaxed weeknight dinner. The menu is straightforward American fare, with a clear focus on grilled steaks. Their ribeye is a popular choice, usually cooked to a respectable char and tenderness for the price point. The real star of the show, however, might be the complimentary bucket of warm, buttery yeast rolls that arrives at the table--they are famously addictive. Sides are classic steakhouse options, like loaded baked potatoes and sautéed mushrooms, which are generally well-prepared. Service is typically friendly and attentive, embodying the restaurant's casual Southern hospitality vibe. My wife had the teriyaki grilled chicken with steamed broccoli, and I opted for the 20 oz Porterhouse, Medium Rare with a loaded baked potato and a Club salad with Thousand Island Dressing. Food was served hot with no issues. While it is not what everyone would consider a high-end, gourmet dining experience, Logan's in Cookeville is a dependable choice for a satisfying steak, great rolls, and a fun, unpretentious atmosphere.

I learned to eat broccoli at Logan's when they added lemon to it. very sad. The little kid had chicken fingers and rice and wasn't happy with the rice.
