This was my first visit to BWW. I try to state something positive about any food review I have produced. But I cannot apply this to BWW, Coon Rapids, MN. Ordered Six Bone in Wings to go. Price was $11.88 (including tax). I expected, for that price, six whole wings, which would have been approx $2 each. Instead, when I got home and opened pkg, there were six wing sections. Three drummies and three second sections. The menu stated wings, not sections, this was misleading advertising. So if I generously stated their was half a pound in the order, that totals $24/lb, which is absurd. In addition, one of the drummies and one section section had broken bones in them with bone fragments. This was dangerous to swallow if I wouldn't have discovered the bone pieces. What is the restaurant receiving? Cheaper culls from the meat packers? These are chicken wings. No better or worse than others I have eaten, except for the ridiculously high price, and the bone fragments. I can receive the same quality at a deli and save $20/lb. with a safer selection process. Another 15 minutes of waiting and the drinks (two beers and water) arrive. 40 minutes after ordering my wife flagged down our server and ask if he could please check on our our order, and cold food was then delivered. Cold is a understatement since my wife's naked tenders were raw! The manager was nice enough to take her meal off the total bill. Notice the sarcasm. Nothing was apologized for or coupons offered. The manage did offer to have the kitchen make another plate up, we did decline. When paying we tried to use a gift card, but our server was trying to sell us on a bill that was the same amount of money before the gift card was applied. From the previous times I had gone, I felt the facility was the cleanest I've seen Including the restrooms. I opted for the Santa Fe salad and overall it was a good salad. It was served with two tortillas which i felt were unnecessary seeing they didn't really go with the idea of a salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had the kick you'd expect in a Santa Fe style salad. The little one had the kids tenders and it was a great portion for $5.99. I'm stuck between giving this review a 2 or a 3 star. It's more like a 2.66. The food (sauces) are and have always been delicious. The wing quality just isn't there anymore. I have been eating at this place since it opened and have been eating at Buffalo Wild Wings long enough that I still call it BW3. The online order and take out service is great. The service here is always good. The restaurant is always nice and clean. My big concern is the hiding substandard wings under delicious sauce. How much longer can they get away with this? We have gone her since day 1- unreal of how the loyalty can be misinterpreted for whatever reason. We waited a long time to get our drink order taken. Our appetizer came out before the drinks and the fried pickle batter was raw. Got our Pepsi and they were clearly diet. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. For the second time. We decided to give it another chance, but nope. Even worst than the first time. Myself, husband and three kids were waiting by the "wait to be seated" stand, and literally no one acknowledged us for a good 10min. The girl that I supposed was taking care of the to go orders (with the purple pig tail hair) came multiple times to her computer right next to us, visibly eating food and obviously seeing us but kept just ignoring us. I finally just went up to her and ask if we should just sit ourselves then? Her response was "oh, no one helped you yet?" I really hate to be treated like I'm stupid. -no! no one helped us and you have been here watching the whole time! Whatever. Finally got a table and the restaurant was not that busy yet. Still waited for another 15min to have a server come and ask what we wanted to drink and if we were ready to order. Anyways, food came. Asked for blue cheese and ranch for my wings and never got it, and also placed another order of wings while eating. 40minutes later, server came by, told us wings should be here soon. 50min later I caught her attention and asked for boxes and tab. An hour later I went up to her at her pos system, told her to cancel the wings and just give us our tab. She apologized and said sure of course. Right as I walked back to my table, a person, that seems like a manager dropped off our wings. I told her that I just asked the server to cancel them since we were leaving and it has been an hour. She gave me a stank look like it was my fault, and said " well I can just put them in a to go box ". Trust me when I say that I don't care paying for 6 extra wings. But being in the service industry let me tell you that when you know and obviously see something isn't going right with your table you acknowledge it and the least you could have done is take the damn wings (that we waited an hour for) off the tabs. Didn't ask if we needed a bag (had about 6boxes to carry) and when I went back to the front as we were leaving to find the purple hair girl again, it was a straight attitude back when I asked for a bag. I was seriously going to tell her that first: even if it's not your job to sit people the least you can do is acknowledge the customers and always ask if they have been help, not just look at us and then ignore us multiple times, and 2nd please correct your nasty attitude if you want to work in the service industry. Went there for dinner 615 Saturday night. Place was empty. Our server was amazing, but the kitchen was not. 20 minutes between when the first person and last person at it table were served. Keep in mind everyone ordered at the same time. When someone picked up the hamburger to eat, grease poured off and saturated the bun. Fries were cold and greasy and items ordered contained things that weren't listed on the menu. When asked to talk with a supervisor she just said, that's how it is sometimes. Wow, a dramatic improvement since our last visit! The last time my daughter and I came here was four years ago. We had bad food, cold wings, and bad service - not cool! I came here with low expectations. But this time everything was better. The food was great and the service was very good. The restaurant itself is also very nice looking, buttoned up, and organized. Our server told us that they had a major re-model a year ago and a new menu a month ago. It shows. Everything looks nice. There are several things they do that I particularly like: 1) I like the way they put actual colored paper labels on the wing flavors. This ensures that you don't forget what's what and you can pick your flavors. There's one we didn't like so our server brought us 2 more varieties for dipping...which were awesome! 2) I like that they sell bottled versions of the sauces. I've already been back to buy 2 of them. 3) I like the way they automatically break out separate people on the check. You can choose to combine them or to separate them when you pay at the end. This is helpful and I imagine this eliminates a lot of headaches with big tables that all want to pay separately. By far the worst experience ever at this location. I'll make it clear that I'll come back, but the server we had needs to go. Aldin (spelling may be off) was horrible. He took our order, but when he delivered out food, he could not recall who got what. There was 3 of us. Once he dropped the food off we never saw him again. Never asked how our food was, never got us refills. His excuse, "You had your food I figured you were ok." WTF?! No server would ever do/say this. You always check on your table. I've never been to a BWW where I don't have my pop refilled after it's half empty. We never got it refilled. We needed more blue cheese, never had a chance to ask for it. It wasn't even busy & we had to wait for a table because they were making sure the servers weren't overwhelmed. We walked in with at least a dozen tables open, but still had to wait 10-15 mins for one. I get the short staffed so we weren't overly mad about that, but this guy couldn't handle his 3-4 tables. Would hate to see what happened if they were busy. This happened to be a Mother's Day dinner from my girlfriend from her daughter. It is my G/F favorite place & she was pissed. She never even finished her food because we couldn't get the refills or extra blue cheese. Again, we'll be back. We've never had this issue in the past with this location. I've been a regular customer of BW3's for quite a few years and in quite a few locations. In the late 90's, I'd frequent the one in Dinky Town almost everyday for wings, beer, and trivia. I was tired of cooking every night and needed a break from the monotony. Recently, I ordered a door dash delivery of boneless wings with Tia Curry on the side from the Coon Rapids location. My wife ordered boneless wings with mac and cheese. Frankly this was the worst meal I've had in years. The heavily breaded (pre - frozen) wing chunks were chewy, cold and disgusting. The mac and cheese was dry and tasteless, as it was obvious, the dish was under warming for quite a few hours. Rarely, have I ever thrown food in the garbage, however I had that day. Price wise it was not; over a dollar for a single chewy wing chunk. I would have been better off getting my own frozen wing chunks and throwing them in the oven along with a Tai Curry sauce from Trader Joes. If you have a hunger for wings and you live in the Anoka - Coon Rapids area, I'd suggest getting wings from Serum's. Best by far. Can't believe I didn't order from there. I've been a customer at this BWW's for many years and don't think I have ever had as horrible of service as I did tonight. My friends and I were greeted at the door and seated by Cole. Cole was a former co worker of one of my friends and has come into my coffee shop many times. Always upbeat, friendly and a smile on his face. Great kid. Everything was going well. We were greeted by Hannah, had our orders taken and our food arrived shortly there after. Our meal was going well until about halfway through. It wasn't the food but lack of service. Hannah seemed to have forgotten about us. One of my poor friends was dying of thirst and desperately wanted his water refilled, as did the rest of us. She didn't once ask if we were enjoying our food either which bothered us. All of my friends including myself have or still do work in the service industry waiting tables and dealing with customers so we are very understanding but we all agreed this was awful service. Worst we all have had here. It was 10 o clock at night on a monday night so it was not even slightly busy. She had maybe 4 other tables. No excuse she couldn't make sure we were content. She passed by us many times and we even tried to awkwardly ask her as she rushed past us to get a refill but ignored us. We finally got her attention after calling out to her across the restaurant (very awkward) and asked for our checks. She ran our cards and just dropped them in a pile on our table. What the hell? You can't give us each our cards? Maybe it was because she didn't remember our orders because she didn't care about us. She was just going through the motions. My two friends gave her very small tips but I refused to tip her a cent! The food was good, no complaints there. Street Tacos were on point. After 5 years, I'm done. Wife and I go to our local B-Dubs in Coon Rapids as our 'go-to' when we want a casual night out, we go probably 2-3 times a month over the past 5 years. They are promoting 'bigger' and 'more chicken' for boneless wings that started a couple days ago. WHAT A JOKE. I always get a small order, and I never complain, but a couple pieces were no bigger than a nickel in size. I called the waitress over and said if this is the 'new' boneless, I'm out, she took them back, (I was too pissed to order something else) and I let my wife finish her dinner, and we left. First they revamp the Ultimate Nachos, and now this joke. For $12, are you serious? I should have done a side by side shot of my wife's Bone-In wings next to this sad plate.
