    Nachos with extra queso
    Stephanie P.

We came on a Sunday during a Vikings game. Atmosphere was great during game. Once the game was over, the energy inside died off immediately as they turned off the football commentary and turned on slow country music, creating a strange energy. We started with the nachos with chicken. We added a large side of queso for $3. Nachos were delicious, definetly needed the extra queso though as they would have been quite dry without. We also had the classic club, chicken tenders entree and the whiskey burger. Whiskey burger was good as were the chicken tenders. Got fries with both, they were hard/overcooked. Classic club was not good. The ham had a strange flavor/texture. Sandwhich was warm as well which threw off the taste. The tator tots were good though.  Service was good. Lots of parking as well.

    California burger

I've gotten the calirfornia burger three times on different occasions it's always bomb. The ceased is not that good I wouldn't recommend getting it. The three times I've gone I've asked the waitress's no onions and it always has onions lol. But service is always great otherwise unless they're rlly busy which they tend to be. I love their patio they have cute lights I just don't like when they play country music. They also have a bar outside

    Chicken sandwich

I ordered the cheese curds and crispy chicken sandwich. The good: The beer was cold, and the cheese curds were delicious. The Bad: The crispy chicken sandwich wasn't really crispy. The crispy chicken sandwich bun fell apart, so it wasn't heavy enough.

Pickle fries. A nice twist to deep fried pickles....sticks instead of circles. Served with tasty spicy ranch. Disclaimer: half eaten.

Have eaten at Willy McCoys a couple of times. I forget how much I love their food. We had a well attentive waitress. Drinks, app, entrees and bill all came in a timely manner. Must return for daily menu deals and patio....once it gets nice outside!

    Are there dart boards?

No they got rid of them... they do have other game options

    It's this business kid- friendly?

depends on the age/behavior of the kid. It's a typical sports bar. I've seen kids there before, but not every time I go.

They did not have the extensions as they do now. That used to be the patio. The extension where the wall used to be had a big mounted TV and a poster of the MN Wild. The party room had maybe 5-6 trophies in there and a couple of jerseys. I am so happy to see this local bar get a complete makeover. I love seeing all the pictures of athletes that have come through Andover. This bar is a good representation of what a community means. The food and service are always great when I come here. All the people give off great energy and will always want to spark up a conversation with you. If you visit the place once and come for a second time, they will more than likely recognize who you are. Overall, if you are in Andover for any reason, stop in to Beefs for some good food and great service, and of course, a fun time for the kids!

The drink menu and a menu of $10.99 specials was at the table and I'm thinking it was kind of limited. Then the waitress comes by with a huge menu with a great variety. She was thrilled that it was our first time here. I notice a photo of a 1985 salad. Get this if you are a boomer or Gen X just for the nostalgia. It's actually a chef's salad loaded with small pieces of meat, ham, pepperoni, salami, and cheese. Some tiny pieces of tomato and I appreciated that their weren't fistfulls of it. We shared one. Hell, one could have been shared with 4 people. We got the ranch because it was the only homemade dressing. Let's say I didn't leave one morsel of this salad. On the special menu I saw a sloppy Joe grilled cheese. It almost looked awkward. But the sloppy Joe part got my interest up. So our amazing Sarah came up with a way for me to get one on a good size burger bun. It hit the spot. I was getting full and forced it down it was so good and good fries that I only had room for a few. This actually won out over the Monday night special of a build your own burger for $8.99. Every night has a special and they ALL look good. The iced tea is home brewed not on the gun and that was delicious as well. A bar restaurant is usually where you'd give it a 4 star, yet nothing was wrong. It was our first time in Andover and if you are in the Highway 10 area go the extra few miles it's worth it.

It was a bit of a trek through rush-hour traffic from our hotel but so completely worth the trip. Discretely located through a door marked only by a red light above it we were warmly greeted by gentleman behind the hardware counter. We were prepared to answer with the password to let us in but for some reason it wasn't asked. No big deal. You are then sent through a door into the beautifully dimly-lit space of the speakeasy. There is plenty of seating, with small tables and some booths. We were shown to our table and greeted by one of the great, friendly hostesses. Drinks are ordered directly at the bar with one of the attendants. You immediately pay for your order which will then be brought to your table. Different but really a nice idea. The music was also nicely unique, with a mix of oldies from the 50's and 60's. An old black and white James Cagney movie played silently on one wall. In terms of the cocktails I have to say these are some of the most delicious and finely crafted drinks I've enjoyed. I began with the Start Your Engine, a delicious gin-based drink. My wife had an absolutely fantastic smoked Old Fashioned, smoked in a large box for a minute or two. Wow! Probably the best we've ever tasted. My second drink was another gin cocktail, the Last Word, which I'd been wanting to try for some time. A fine gin supported by green Chartreuse and lime, this was simply sublime. Highly recommended. The bar and menu is quite varied and extensive, so you're sure to find something to your liking. The space has a great vibe and mellow ambiance. Sufficiently dark, cozy and very nicely and eclectically decorated. Service was outstanding and informative. Reservations are recommended. Like many such places you are "limited" to 90-minute timeframes, which sometimes seems like not enough but ultimately works quite well. The quality of the cocktails, space and service all make for a really enjoyable time. Well worth many visits.
