Went here tonight for their Burger special, Sadly after 1 hour and 15 minutes no burgers. We were told by the waitress that our order slip was lost in the sea of orders. So wouldn't you think they would put ours up to be cooked next after waiting 1 hour, nope....... 15 minutes later I finally said to her I think we are going to leave, she brought us our tab for 1 beer and I said, seriously you can't even comp the one tap beer after this long of wait she came back and did. I would think even after saying I think we are going to leave she maybe would have said I can see where they are in the kitchen with the order but no. Just a big disappointment. Large, clean, and dogs are welcome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We noticed right away that there are lots of specials here! Based on that alone, we were already thinking we would be back! It took about 10 minutes for a server to come over, but that was ok given how beautiful the weather was! Our server was very friendly and polite! No complaints. The food: We both decided to get their special of $10 burger and fries/tots. Our only semi complaint was that we asked for "medium" oaks they came out looking well done. However, these burgers were still very juicy!! The tots were some of the best I've ever had! Sooo crispy!! The fries were average. The burgers had good flavors and toppings! I have eaten at The Boulevard Restaurant and Bar, Coon Rapids, MN, about every couple of months, and have always been satisfied. On Fridays, I do love to find "a tasty, ol old-fashioned fish Fry" where I can eat some "not fishy, not greasy, solid white fish" that will satisfy my hankering for battered fish on Friday. The fish fry at Boulevard is pretty good. The batter is not flaky, which I do prefer to the solid-breading type; I actually love the tempura-type beer-battered. I originate from Wisconsin, and there, due to the Lutheran Lent and Catholic Friday restrictions on meat, a fish fry is prevalent everywhere, and they are all wonderful. If the Boulevard would change their fish fry to beer-battered tempura style, I would give it an "Easy Five" rating. read more

I've been to Boulevard a dozen times now, but its never my first choice. If you're looking for good food - you're at the wrong place. When you arrive, you will find that at least 50% of the time there is no host at the front, so you'll have to wait for someone to notice you. Each time we have been here for breakfast they are so understaffed and the food takes 30+ minutes to come out. You'll probably only see your server once or twice the entire time you're there and when you do they are scrambling to get to their next table. I feel bad for them. For dinner, its the same situation, but the food tastes slightly better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms are also disgusting and are probably not being cleaned as often as they should be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think I have tried Boulevard enough times now to where I can confidently give a 1 star review. We met here for our monthly family breakfast. It works well for us because we never know how many people are coming and dont need a reservation. They dont open until 9:00am sharp so its usually no trouble getting a table. We had good service even with a larger group that we had. Thank you. We both got eggs and bacon. Food typically very good and quality menu items. Not always consistent. Mistakes leave the kitchen depending on the time of day. Fries can be overcooked. Sometimes way too greasy sandwiches. Sometimes perfect. Just like the staff. Some are extremely pleasant and delightful, others are little hobgoblins with the worst, too good for everyone, bad attitudes ever. There are some obnoxious rubes with low room temp IQ that has made me want to walk right back out. So this little gem is an odd one as it is always hit or miss. Today was an overall great experience at BBNG. Our server Megan was top-notch from start to finish. She made sure our coffee was kept hot and the water glasses full. Between my guest and I we ordered the Boulevard skillet and the boulevard burrito. Both were Fantastic. Food was hot when delivered to the table and was done to our exact requests. A great local bar & grill with lots of food options - a solid 3.5 stars. This was my first visit. I got an ice cold beer from the tap, an appetizer, a burger, and a dessert. I'd say that the food is mostly average or slightly above average. My fried pickles were overcooked and my burger was overcooked, not the way I requested. (I don't know why the server would ask and then the cook screws it up.) No big deal though, the flavors were good. My expectations weren't that high. Boulevard obviously makes an extra effort with a large menu and many food choices. They have specials too. In hind sight, I wish I had tried the pulled pork mac & cheese special. The table next to me ordered the special and it looked awesome - way better than my burger & fried pickles. The prices are all very reasonable. It won't break the bank if you want to hang out here to eat and drink. By the way, my server was awesome. I watched all of the servers flying around the large building & patio. They all seemed to be hustling and doing a good job. The place was super busy with more people filtering in while I was eating. This is really, really great to see after the COVID shutdowns. I noticed the additional seating, since there's more demand for outside dining, and so we stopped in yesterday, we ordered apps and a couple sammies, waitress quickly asks for choice of sides, we did not even have chance to eat the apps and our orders came, not much meat, bacon was cold, mayo was smelling bad, bun could have been toasted, very bad cole slaw, which I told waitress about how it was tasting old, as she suddenly laughed and went off to another table. When the bill came we charged extra for these sides, poor delevery since not having been told of extra charges, poor value for the prices, felt sick so had to go :-( Would not recommend this place for food. I really liked the seats on the patio. But the burger and fries were the best I've had in a long time. I had the cardinal burger. YUM! My son had the chicken Ceasars wrap. He said the chicken was juicy. My wife had the buffalo chicken wrap. She said it was really good. This was our first visit. We will be back! PS. During this past hockey season, this became a pre-game hangout for us and our friends. It is really deserving of a 4.5 star rating; however, the rating system doesn't allow for half stars. The restaurant offers a little something for everyone. Burgers, fish and plenty of options for those interested in appetizers or a full meal. Trying many things during the past seven months, I frequently picked the Friday night fish or the Hangover burger. I never heard a complaint about the food from anyone who joined us to eat. The tots are excellent! If you just want to meet up with friends, know it can get kind of loud in the building. The restaurant has a sports theme and many televisions for your viewing pleasure. Free popcorn and really good service may get you past all the noise. Meat raffles and two-for-one drinks (all the time) make for a good time too. Ate at the Boulevard Bar & Grill in Coon Rapids yesterday evening for a dinner, for the first time. March 25, 2019. Staff was very kind and friendly. Ambiance was nice. When I googled this place, a picture of a yummy juicy steak with a baked potatoe showed up. This is why we went. I wanted that steak. On the menu it said entrees were a choice. Yet, in scrolling through the menu I never saw steak or a single entree. We thought we'd try it anyway. No steak. No entrees. The steak is only offered on Wednesday's. My loss. I had to settle for a French dip. Only sandwiches and burgers to pick from. Not really want I would choose from for a dinner. It took a very long time to get our food too! I know it was taking longer than normal vexatious was getting ancy and actually contemplated leaving. Got my food. Put a French fry in my mouth and instantly, I mean instantly was disgusted. These were hands down the worst French Fries I have ever had in my life. They were so bland! No seasoning at all. Plain, dry and bland. There's something else about them I just can't find the word to explain it. They needed tons of salt and that didn't help any. My French dip was good. We probably won't go back there again, not even on a Wednesday to try the steak. Sorry. read more

Came on a Friday afternoon place has very few patrons. Order took quite a long time, especially considering we only ordered 3 burgers and fries. When the order finally came out two of the orders were the incorrect burger. It took about ten more mins to finally get the burger correct. We had kind of a bummer visit last Friday. We sat at the bar and I will say we were lucky, as seats seemed to be filling up quickly. They had two for one's available for rail drinks it seemed. I saw many people with mixed drinks but no beer. I ordered a whiskey ginger and got two, so that seemed to be the case. We asked for menus and it took about 20 minutes to receive them. We decided to do their Friday Fish Fry, as it is all you can eat and we had 2 hours to burn. Well, we ordered and about 40 minutes of not getting our food we asked if the order got put in. The bartender told us that yes it did and she would go check. She stated the kitchen was super backed up. I looked around and no one in the bar area had food...so I guess either no one ordered or no food was coming out. Then the people who sat next to us got their food way quicker than we did. She came out with our fish but told us the delay was due to the fries. We started eating our fish and the fries came out 6 mintues later. I timed it on my phone. I was curious at that point how long it takes to make fries. By the time we got everything ...we order two more fish sticks and called it quits because we had to get home. I've never waited that long for fish fry or any fryer food in my life. I don't think I'll be running back here anytime soon. read more

My husband and I LOVE this place! The jumbo wings are amazing and every time we've been here, we've had great service... Until today. I would've given 5 stars, but our server today took that last one away. I'm usually not one to say something negative on Yelp, but I feel as if this should be brought to the attention of this establishment. Our server named Kimberly S. was just awful. Horrible customer service in every way possible. I've been in the customer service industry for 10+ years and even if you're having a bad day, you never show it to the customer. She never smiled. Never said hi. Never once checked on us. Never cleared our table after. And dropped the check off without a word before or after. I can't recall the last time I've had such terrible service. I felt like she hated us. She ignored us at all costs. And it was slow. She had two tables to wait on. Ours and another couple. Other than that, based on the previous service we've had and the fact that we're addicted to their food, my husband and I will not stop eating here. So long as we don't get Kimberly again. read more
