Potato wedges with queso were tasty, but it's not clear where we should place our order and most of the staff will just stare at you as you wait around for the person who's supposed to help you to show up to the post without trying to expedite the wait in any way. It's too dark in there and they need to be more mindful of marketing so people know what they're eating or would like to eat. Displaying a menu outside or right inside would really be helpful for passersby to get some idea of what is available and the pricing. There's a sign that says buy one wings and get one free but no indication of how much one wings costs. They need to try harder to be more appealing and service-oriented rather than working for themselves. read more

It had been one of those weeks--deadlines missed, heart heavy, the kind of stretch where the world feels a little too loud and you feel a little too small. I just wanted wings. I sat down, didn't say much. The server smiled anyway, like they knew I needed a place to be human again. First time. Ala Moana location. I came in @11am for Sunday football, and was hot from the moment I walked in. All of us at the table were sweating. Could be because we sat near the entrance and they leave their door open so AC goes out. Service was slow from the beginning. I ordered Tito's lemonade & asked 2 different servers for it. 35 minutes later, I got it. We asked for soda refill at the start of SNF. Never got it. We left at halftime. No soda. Still sweating. A group of five of us spent about three hours watching the basketball playoffs. We were really impressed with the experience--great drink specials ($5 for 22oz Coors Light, $4 Jameson), plenty of TVs, strong AC, and surprisingly fast and friendly service even during a busy afternoon. Honestly, we were puzzled by the low ratings this location has received. It ended up being one of the better BWWs we've visited, and we even joked about making this our new go-to spot instead of our usual bar because the prices were so much better. Unfortunately, we think we found the reason behind the low reviews. Toward the end of our visit, the manager on duty approached us in a very abrupt and rude manner, telling us that our service dog needed to be on the floor and not on our lap. The dog had been silent and motionless the entire time--almost three hours without a single issue. We informed him that it was a service animal, and his response was, "It doesn't matter, the dog needs to be on the floor." We tried to understand why this was being addressed now, after we had already been there for hours without any concerns from the hostess, our original server, or the server who took over during the shift change. But the manager remained short and dismissive, which led us to ask for the check and leave. Our server was clearly embarrassed by the situation and apologized to us sincerely. It's unfortunate that one interaction--especially one that could've been handled with more empathy or even a simple conversation--completely soured what had been a great time. We understand there's a lot of skepticism around service animals these days, but if the manager had simply asked or shown a little curiosity, we could've explained why the dog was positioned where he was, or even moved to a lower table if needed. There were no posted signs about pet or service animal policies--just a sign advertising that they serve rice. BWW should really consider retraining staff on how to appropriately handle service animal situations, because others might not have handled it as calmly as we did. We left around 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th. We have the name of the manager but calling someone out personally in a review is just poor character. We'll leave it at that and move on. The place wasn't packed at all. We went with coworkers to celebrate a birthday and during lunch they have unreal lunch specials. I decided on not getting my fingers and face dirty but still get down to business and I ordered the southern chicken sandwich. Can I say I was so pleasantly surprised as to how moist and not overly breaded this sandwich was. You can change your order to other sides for $1 more so I changed regular fries to onion rings. Again, pleasantly surprised they don't coat theirs with thick breadcrumbs but the nice beer batter leaving the onion rings smooth and crispy. The sandwich came with a nice aioli and pickles!! It was perfect. I don't drink soda so I skipped the free drink but my meal was $13 ($1 more for the switch so $12 if you order plain fries). The service was impeccable. I wish I had the server's name but she is a sweet blonde girl with lots of spunk and patience. She was happy and cheerful the whole time and not so much that it's annoying. It was genuine kindness. Ever since Islands Burgers closed, it left a void in our hearts. For sometime we wanted to dine on burgers. So when Joseph suggested about this place, we said why not? Buffalo Wild Wings falls into the category of sports bar. It reminds me of the now defunct All Star Cafe in NYC. Upon entering we needed to do a temperature check and the check-in. All around Buffalo Wild Wings, huge screens have been set up to feature sports such as figure skating, basketball, and football for that evening. Being a sports centered facility, Buffalo Wild Wings gives a nod to wrestling by installing a cage like fixture above the bar. It took about 20 minutes for our food to come. The Southern Black Bean Burger tasted a bit on the spicy and salty side. The fries tasted a bit too crunchy and falls on the salty side. I needed to drink more water to clear the salt for my mouth. This makes for a good place to meet up with sports buddies and friends. Come, relax and enjoy a game or two. read more

Buffalo Wild Wings can be a fun chain, especially when locations are well cared for. The old one in Waikiki wasn't great; it has since been replaced with this new location at Ala Moana Centre on the top level near the entrance to Target. There is a ton of free parking in the roof area for easy access to the bar without going through the mall itself. I finally stopped in to try a new beer I saw friends have, the Wild Herd Kolsch from Goose Island, which is their exclusive house beer for $3 large pints. It was genuinely good, well worth the price. Our bartender Kathryn was super attentive and friendly all evening. The bar/restaurant has high ceilings with sports memorabilia and huge TVs showing an array of live events both from the USA and around the world. I assume you could request any game you'd like. The menu is mostly chicken and fried food - we didn't have any on this visit but food on tables looked good. Overall it's a cheap place to escape to for a drink; they have a ton of local beer options as well, which is always a plus. My second beer glass was visibly dirty, which isn't a good thing and needs improvement. read more

It probably took about 30 minutes to finally order. We asked the servers twice if we can place an order and waved them down a few times, but they all said "we'll be there in a sec." It's open during COVID, which is great. However, the waiting time is less than stellar. We were told that we would wait 10-15 minutes, okay that's fair. But when you wait 30 minutes and have seen at least five parties leave and see many tables that need to be cleaned, there's a disconnnect. I visit this location (Ala Moana) quite frequent because we enjoy watching sports and eating chicken wings. But my visit today must have been my worst ever. Usually the service is decent, but today our waitress never came to our table to offer a refill on any of our drinks. I sat there with my family, eating an early dinner and enjoyed only ONE beer, my kids, no water or soda refill. We were there to watch the Football game and World Series. Stayed roughly about 2.5 hours and only had ONE beer. I could have easily downed 3-4 beers in that amount of time. Possibly more if we were having a good time. But the service was really bad. I tried to stop our waitress but she zoomed by our table so fast I don't think she even heard me call her or she just tuned us out for some reason. ‍ Worse customer service ever! I live in town but will consider driving out of my way to visit the Pearl Highland location. Our last experience there, about a month ago, was great. Ala Moana, please consider some CS training. Gotta have some understanding. After shopping at the Lego Store (I know you read that review), we decided this was the place for lunch. Well the central food court was way packed. Wait time was longer then usual. Understandable since it was a Sunday. Service was slow, understandable. Like everywhere else, not enough servers for all the patrons. But our server was checking on tables when passing. I ordered the House Sampler and 30 wings. House Sampler was ok, it's simple bar food. I wasn't too keen on the nachos. The cheese wasn't nacho cheese or queso. It's shredded cheese melted under a salamander with limited toppings. And Limited I mean, let's use the smallest spoon to portion out the salsa and refried beans and then drizzle the dish with watery sour cream. At least the three slices of jalapeños added some flavor. When the wings arrived, I told everyone at the table to wait. First I had to figure out what wings were covered with what sauce. Went in this afternoon for lunch with a group of friends. It's wasn't busy at all, and we were seated right away. When the guy came, he explained the menu to us, then shared that he was the only guy working tables. We felt so bad for him. But he had so much energy and he was on it! He checked in on all the tables, our food came out quick, and made sure that we were satisfied. I ordered the $14 lunch special of 10 traditional wings (Parmesan and Asian Zing) all flats, and it came with fries and a drink. Then also got appetizers, fried pickles and loaded nachos. Everything came out super fast, considering they were short handed. My wings were hella yum, I couldn't even finish it all. Then the appetizers were good. Absolutely horrible. This place should be shutdown and everyone fired. Keep this in mind, the place was not busy at all and we arrived there around 8:15. My family and I came into the restaurant and was sitting at the table for over an hour waiting just to be served water, then about another half hour to get utensils and to put in an order. The food came out horrible and my order (burger 6 for 6) came out cold and looked like it was sitting out for a while. Some of my family never got there food at all it's approx 10:30. We asked to speak to the manager and the manager didn't do a damn thing. Then we tried to flag down someone so we can try and get the check to pay but every single waitress/waiter/manager ignored all of us while they were passing right next to our table. We continued to wait until we realized they were all just ignoring us. The time is 10:45pm still not everyone in my party has not received their food and no one came by to refill our drinks. Absolutely a shithole to take anyone too. Also, btw the other tables were having the same issues as well! This place needs to be shutdown and everyone fired! Having decided on a Saturday movie night in, we opted to have Buffalo Wild Wings delivered through UberEats having ordered and loving it in the past. This time however, this was not the case for a couple of small but impactful reasons. Ordering process online was relatively normal, we ordered: Chips and Salsa, a side order of House-Made Guacamole, 2 bottled Pepsis, and the bundle that includes 20 Boneless, 20 Wings and large fries. We were given an estimated delivery time of about an hour, which we were totally okay with, being it was around 8:00pm on a weekend. It was a pleasant surprise when our order was at our doorstep in about 45 minutes. Now to the blunders: First, our order was missing the bottled sodas, which was disappointing for us seeing that we were staying in for a movie night. UberEats gave us a refund for the charge, however we definitely really craved it while eating. Not a huge deal, but still disappointing. Next, the chips that came with the Chips and Salsa were totally stale. I'm talking stale like next day, open-bag-after-game-day stale. I ended up tossing them in the air fryer (while our movie played on) to make them edible. And finally, the House-Made Guac I was looking most forward to... was sliced avocado! And from the pic, it looks pretty good right? Wrong, it was unripe, bitter and had a firm, rubbery texture. Like I said, small but impactful hiccups. The wings were standard, and flavorful. My husband wanted to walk out the door several times, but I'm very forgiving because I know what food and customer service is like, so I said no, we were not going to dine-and-dash. The sampler we ordered never came, we've been here for AN HOUR AND A HALF at this point. We said cancel the sampler and bring the bill. We had slightly hoped the drink would be off it cause it took ridiculously long and the server said so every chance she got, but it was on there, ok no problem. Took another 15 minutes to even give our card to anyone and the waitress offers another tables rejected sampler (which has a medium spice sauce, even though we ordered a mild sauce), we figured this is for our awful experience and said sure, we'll take it to-go cause at this point we just want to leave, she says okay, leaves the sampler- and takes his card. When she comes back she had charged him a HIGHER bill, which included the sampler that wasn't even the flavor we wanted!! When we told her we had an issue she immediately says "Is it about being charged for the sampler right". I'm sorry so you knew that was an issue?? Did you do it or did your manager make you do it and hoped we'd be suckers and just go with it?? It takes another 15 minutes to flag someone down to get a manager, and another 15 for the manager to come and offer us 25% off. Really. We just said sure and got the heck out of there, we'd been there for over 2 HOURS to get half of what we ordered, and even though they offered to let us take the reject sampler that we demanded they take off the bill, we had been waiting SO LONG to resolve the bill that it was gross and soggy by then, we just threw it away. I WENT TO TACO BELL after spending almost $100 here and 2+ hours of our Friday night!! I'm just stunned. Not just poor but BAD service from the bar, the kitchen, the waitress, and the manager.
