Just had the WORST experience at this restaurant. Was asked to wait 5-10 minutes despite there being a lot of open tables. Was asked by a female employee if my son and I were there for carryout order. We said no. We continued to wait patiently. Then after more than 5 minutes another party showed up and were immediately seated. I asked why did that happen. Was told employee didn't know what they were doing. Then they continued to make us wait. I asked for manager and teensge black female came out and I voiced my complaint. I was told that they would seat us. I asked if we were going to get better service than we'd received so far. Manager said that we could leave if I felt like that. So I left and won't be back. No wonder they're hiring. This chain has always been my favorite but when a store seats to capacity when their kitchen staff cannot keep up then management has a problem. First thing I see when I walk in is the sea of tables. No one wants to sit in the middle of the sea. Ticket times are ridiculous. This place has such good potential, just seems management/ staff don't have it right. It's not very clean, and nothing special. The food is usually cold, and I just wish it was better. If I could give zero stars I would. Worst experience I've ever had eating out. Me and my wife were sat immediately upon arriving, it took 12 minutes before we even got acknowledged at our table and another 5 to get drinks. We were told there would be a wait for food, but it was not explained that we would be there a hour and 10 minutes before receiving only my wife's entree which wasn't even made correctly. I've been coming here for years. It's one of my favorites. I like the gaming system. The service is okay, some days it's great and other days it is off. I'm just happy if my beer stays full and the wings aren't cold. They recently tried to implement a rewards card program. I come here a lot and the servers never enter the data. Excuse me, I've not reviewed this location? I like this one better than the one in Raytown. I utilize it normally, after I get my hair cut at Beauty Brands, and get home too late to cook. It's a chain, it's wings, it's Buffalo Wild Wings, and it's loud. There's over 23 T.V.'s. I counted them tonight. There's three rows of t.v.'s. People were seated pretty quick, and the staff had a pleasant attitude. I like the boneless chicken wings, and so does the Other R. He orders Asian Zing which is too fire hot for my mouth. I get Honey Barbecue, which sometimes seems too hot. The service is generally consistent. What I'm most excited for, is when the Other R turns 21, and WE can go for a beer and watch a football game together. It's a cool place to drink a beer and watch the football game. I just never understood why it's so danged loud when there's no football game. That's why it gets 3 stars, cause of the mystery loudness, even when there's not many customers. As far as B-dubs locations go, this place is about average as far as the level of service, beer selection on tap, wing tastiness, and the number of big screens for sporting events. I have been to dozens of locations of this franchise and these are my 4 main areas of concern. The good thing about BWW's is the fact that most locations are relatively consistent in delivering these core tenets. Gourmet dining it is not, but you typically know what to expect when walking through the doors no matter where in the US you might find yourself, and there is something to be said for that just in general. The bar area here is the primary focal point here, and is much larger than you will find at your typical location. My guess is that this place has a significant following for MMA fights and football, which is the bread and butter for many B Dubs franchises. If you are a fantasy football guy (or the rare gal), this is a great location for Sundays because of the non-stop streams coming in from every game via DirectTV. There is a large outdoor patio area that would make for an excellent post of spot if the weather was nice. Overall, not a bad place to grab some wings and a brew if you are in the area. Lastly, like most other B-dubs I have visited, wings are dirt cheap on Tuesdays, making it a very affordable night out. read more

Met three of the bartenders, they move like bullets, they are the best thing this facility has going. You drinking soda, they don't care. I would bet three of them generates half of the tips. Awful experience both times we tried to give them our business. Weeks ago we placed an online order with DoorDash but when the food arrived it was nowhere near correct. Our wings were all dry/no sauce, incorrect quantity, and incorrect sauces on the side. We verified our order was placed correctly online but executed incorrectly by the BWW staff. However, we called and did receive a $20 gift card from BWW but we spent $50 on the original order. BWW encouraged us to place the order with their website in the future to avoid issues. Today we wanted to give this location another try and had an even worse experience! We placed our order through the BWW website as suggested and waited two hours, still no food. We called for an update and found out our order had been sitting for about an hour and BWW staff suggested we come pick it up ourselves or contact DoorDash. BWW contracts DoorDash for delivery orders placed on their website but we did not receive any order information for the DoorDash order. We called again to cancel the order and were offered no compensation. Manager Hayden was not friendly or interested in working in customer service based on our conversation. She proceeded to give us a phony BWW corporate number. Never giving this location business again. read more

Not a fan of this specific B-Dubs location, and yes I go here enough to call it by its unofficial official nickname, and as unholy on Yelp as it is to say Buffalo Wild Wings probably is my top-spot restaurant chain and it definitely is my favorite non-local sports bar. The problem with this Independence location halfway rests on the shoulders of the staff but also, in part is accredited to the poor layout of the bar/patio area. First off, to reach the aforementioned patio you have to trek through the entire horizontal stretch of the bar and if the patio happens to be fully occupied then you are left with the walk of shame back through the bar area. Not to mention the precarious nature of this if there is a popular sporting event on TV(s) and the bar is entirely occupied shoulder-to-shoulder. Another problem here is the obscene wait time it takes to get a "mixed cocktail", I often come in groups and whenever one of us decides to be brave and pick out one of the creations from the mixed drink page of the bar menu we are left hanging a good 15 minutes after the rest of the group gets the beers/sodas ordered to the table. The sauces here are fine, just the right consistency, and the coleslaw is always creamy and fresh, a problem at a few locations I have experienced is what seems to be AT LEAST day old coleslaw being passed off as quality. But, overall I just don't feel this location has the same type of personable servers/bar staff I find at other BBW locations which tricks you into thinking you are at a legitimate sports bar where you are never asked to leave after the game is over. read more

I came here while I was in town visiting a friend, and thought we'd have a great time as usual at many BWW, well this was a Sunday afternoon, it was not very busy at all, it took a very long time for us to even get menus and waited on, then our food took quite a long time to finally come out. even my friend commented on how long our wait for food took. our waitress was just like not very attentive at all. its a little bit off, I've been to other locations and they were all great. But on a slower night for it to take as long as it did to get our food, was kind of irritating. The food itself was great, always is.
