Ordered carryout large thin crust. For $27 I'd hoped for a pizza that was large. It's only slightly larger than the burner on my stove. I usually do Tim's or Funhouse as $27 gets you a very large pizza with a plethora of toppings. Pizza tasted ok, but looked like a frozen one from the grocery store and only weighed 1lb. This is always a very solid dining experience for me and my hubby. We both love their pizza (if you are gluten intolerant or watching your carbs, don't be afraid to try their cauliflower crust - it is outstanding). I also love their Twisted Chicken Tenders, which you can jazz up with the sauce of your choice. They are juicy and tender. The service is always on point. My only issue is that with recent changes in their menu they have removed some of the items we really long for - mainly several appetizers, soup, and the most delicious Turkey sandwich. They also added several pasta dishes that are really good, but we still miss some of the old items. The beer is plentiful and cold, and they will always work to manage the TV's to make sure your game is available to watch. read more

Every time I come to this restaurant I have a really good experience. This time around I had a flight of beers that were delicious and so were the jalapeño pretzel bites! The Goose Island beer was actually great for a 15.2% draft. The Chocolate Ale was full of flavor, you couldn't tell it was an 8.7% beer. I love places that still offer flights, just because you have an opportunity to taste a few beers to see what you like without having to get a full pour of beers and be miserable if you don't like it. Went here to spend some time with family while in town. For an app, we got the nachos. They are made with pasta chips. Pasta chips!! So light and airy. The nachos had pepperoni on them with other goodness. So good. I could have just had that as a meal. So good. Kid had pepperoni Detroit style pizza. It was so thick!! So cheesy! It was 4 large square cut pieces. He could only eat one piece after the nachos. The adults had a meat pizza and it had green olives (the only kind I eat) on it. I've never had them hot but it was pretty good! Our wait staff was nice and she kept the drinks filled. Over it was a good experience and I'm sure when we are in town again, we will make our way back. read more

It's a chain restaurant but they do have good food and a very good beer selection. Went for lunch and Taylor was our waitress. She was very pleasant and made some good NA beer recommendations for my wife. We ordered the boneless Nashville hot wings as an appetizer as had not tried their version. While the flavor was good, it was much closer to a traditional Buffalo wing sauce with a hint of sweetness. Not really what we were looking for and likely would not try again. Ordered a Chicago 7 pizza with mushrooms on one half and black olives on the other. While the pizza came out in a timely manner, the kitchen messed it up and didn't get the toppings correct, and the pizza was cold. Taylor apologized profusely and had them make another for us. We picked the items off the first one and ate that, so ended up with leftovers from the second one. Had an amazing experience at Old Chicago Pizza! The spinach artichoke dip was absolutely delicious, perfectly creamy, flavorful, and paired with the freshest crispiest chips I've ever had! For my main dish I want witj the blackened chicken Caesar salad and it was a knockout! Chicken was perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of spice. Nothing Special The other day we had gone to Bass Pro Shop. Upon leaving we realized that we were hungry. Remembering that we had seen Old Chicago from MO 291 and I-70 many time it seemed like a good time to check it out. About half way between US 40 and Bass Pro Shop, it is located on a spur road off the main road to Bass Pro. Having a dedicated parking lot it was easy to access and park. Even more so during non peak times. Its modern decor and layout did let you know that it was a pizza and beer place (i like "no surprises" places). The place was clean and neat. We were seated immediately and a server came by to take drink and other orders. Throughout our time there the service remained adequate, but nothing special. Our pizza, a large half and half combination was fine. Actually pretty good, but again nothing special. Prices were as expected, the beer selection was very good. While it was a pleasant meal, neither of us were bowled over. There are so many other great pizza shops in town, Old Chicago does not really stand out. Should be be in the area and get hit with a desire for pizza, we might stop in - or head somewhere else. read more

I used to frequent OC back before Covid all the time. Have gone since Covid and the service and food weren't the same but why not try again. So that's what we did on Friday night. We walk in the hosts were nice and friendly. Got sat in a booth with a server named Aubrey. I'm not sure if it was an off day or what just either she was rushing us to order or she was no where to be found. Food came and we didn't see her again til we asked for boxes and the check. Left money on the table, she asked us if it was exact change and I said yes ma'am I don't need change. Said thank you have a nice night! She pursued us to our car and as we were backing out and turning into her direction. She stopped us at the passenger window accusing us of under paying by $10 dollars. Old Chicago Pizza is a wonderful addition to the area. It sits down yonder of Pizza Ranch, and it's just as expected, delicious and crowded. We had a 15 minute wait. They texted me when our seats were available. We went on a Saturday for lunch. The menu is wonderful. I chose to start with pizza rolls. They were delicious and honestly, I would've settled for just them. They are rolled pepperoni rolls with marinara sauce they make at the restaurant. Then we ordered the Old Chicago 7 individual pizza. It has pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, green/red peppers, onions and olives. It;'s the best pizza I've had in a long time. Individual pizzas have 4 pieces, and we had the ale crust. There's several choices of crust including gluten free which is really nice. I love their pizza rolls, and ordered a second for my son, to take home. Old Chicago Pizza is always packed when I drive by there, so expect a wait, but it's worth it. read more

The Liberty location has really gone downhill. I used to be a regular there, most days after work to enjoy a beer with friends. All of the bartenders that made the place great, Vanessa, Dylan, Jaz, and Morgan, are no longer there. Instead you might get the white haired chick that will ignore you for 10-20 min while she chats up a patron or is washing glasses. Management has changed hands a couple times now. It's just meh :(. I am a regular at old Chicago and last night was a crappy experience. Several customers ended up calling 911. I also heard several patrons say that they will not be back and my adult friend actually had tears in her eyes because it was so upsetting to her. The new bartender is a ticking time bomb with a very short fuse. Arguing with customers and actually came from Behind the bar in a very aggressive manner looking for a fight. He should have been fired on the spot. We as regulars have agreed that if we walk in and see him working we will turn around and walk out. He's only worked here about 3 weeks filling in for others but trust me it is entirely 3 weeks too long. I frequent this establishment so you might wonder why I give them one star. That's fair. I'm on the beer tour, and I'd like to see it through. Otherwise, I don't think I'd come back often. I'm a director and analyst at a wealth management and venture capital group, so my criticism is from a professional operations standpoint. This is a new store, so it's likely to have operational issues. But it's a bit beyond that in my opinion. Greeting: If at her post, a grim-faced hostess often sits at the front door. She will then tell you that she only has a specific type of table available which is often not true. She's only doing it because that high top table is next on the rotation and no one wants it. She thinkings you won't know she's lying or that you won't call her out on it. The software they use seems cumbersome and inefficient, but I suspect it's just a lack of training or care. Thus, wait times are much longer than they should be. Waiters: Generally, the wait staff here performs adequately. The staff will congregate in key areas, blocking walkways and talking about personal matters within ear//eye shot of the customer. After a shift or to fold silverware, the staff will slip into a booth in various states of dress, while others huddle around them. Food & Drink: The food is what you'd expect from Old Chicago. It's bothersome that they run out of items or drinks often. I don't know if that's by design or a purchasing issue. The drink rotation is complex and convoluted to the customer. It's not consistently explained by the waiters. I'm guessing it's because they don't really understand it either. As a business professional, the things I'm seeing are simple enough to fix. But if they let it continue it will drive away business. I'm happy to advise if they feel so inclined. I'm sure I'll be in again to work on the beer tour. read more

More likely a 3.5 star at this point. I went to Old Chicago on a Friday night around 5pm so I will give them a few breaks. Liz out server was super nice and did a good job. She kept us informed about our food taking a long time. The tried a few appetizers. One thing was the macaroni bites. The outer crust was like biting a piece of coral. It was so rough making it impossible to eat without wrecking the top part of my mouth. Most people in our party just said their food was 'Ok'. The atmosphere was nice. We specifically stopped here after Royals game to celebrate my niece's 21st Birthday at midnight. After ordering drinks and appetizers, we finally ordered a round of 9 shots just before midnight. About 5 minutes after midnight, the manager walks up to our table to inform us that my niece couldn't have alcohol because her license was expired. It was after midnight on July 5, 2018. My niece's license expires on July 5, 2018. JULY 5 IS NOT OVER. We argued the point with the manager who finally agreed to "go check the rules."
