Our server carried the experience while the cooks followed lead! Our waitress was so kind and attentive and as a customer I can appreciate it! The food came out hot, fresh, well seasoned, and delicious and it seemed like everyone around us was having an amazing time! Not to mention I came on hoco night! All the young couples come pooling in to eat and I can't blame them!

We had early dinner here on a Friday night. There was no waiting. There is usually a long wait and you're lucky to get in. Casual outdoor wooden cabin atmosphere. A popular steakhouse among many. Best known for their sweet buttery dinner rolls. This time I ordered their prime rib dinner which I didn't know they had on the menu. It was good, cooked to my liking and a choice of two sides. I would order again. Overall this is a great place to go for steak that won't empty your wallet. Pricing is reasonable and they provide good service.

My wife and I came here for dinner one night. She was having a toothache and so she had to get things that were softer. She enjoyed a loaded baked potato and Texas roadhouse's delicious red chili. I am a huge fan of the chili, and now she is too. I had the chicken fried steak, which was a little bit weird. It was kind of soft and a little bit sweet, which I wasn't quite sure about. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Our server was named Hailey and she was very nice. We had a couple of margaritas with a Patron kicker and they were very good.

Had a taste for a nice piece of beef an I was not disappointed. First it was a Sat night and we got in the wait list at 4:35 pm we did not get to sit down till 5:50 pm. It was packed. The staff handled it like champs! They were moving as fast as they could and still trying to please each table lots of bday dinners! They even ran out of silverware. The food tasted so good the prime rib was perfect! It was busy and kinda loud but it was a fun evening.

I ordered two 8oz Kansas City strip steaks, both requested medium rare, but they came out way overcooked. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, despite the restaurant not being busy, and our drinks were also late. We payed $60 for something we didn't eat. On the bright side, our server was friendly

F'n perfectly cooked steak! As a steak snob I can confidently say this is the best Texas road house around.

First off, the place is huge. Despite that, it's not too loud, and it's not overwhelming. I really enjoyed the meal here with 4 other business associates. Service was spot on. Really. Our waiter made us feel like we were the most important people in the place. I can't say enough about how important that is, but I'm sure most of you understand that already! I had the brisket and burnt tips, and they were amazing. As a side, the fries were also fantastic, and the barbecue sauce was superb. I don't normally go overboard about dining at a restaurant, but this place deserves every good review it gets. I cannot recommend Jack Stack highly enough. I only wish I didn't live 4 hours away - I'd look forward to going here one a much more regular basis!

Turkey was plain Jane and the brisket was just fine. Came with coleslaw, beans, and cheesy corn. Beans were great with pork in them. Corn was very cheesy, but could have used a bit more seasoning. Coleslaw came out way before the foods which was odd. Partner liked the coleslaw. Ordered an extra side of cheesy potatoes. That was the best thing there. Service was good for our party of 11. And their sangria is very tasty, but a tad overpriced.

Like another iconic joint in the metro, this one is a former gas station. The brisket at that place is a little bit better. However, everything else that I tried here is spectacular. The sliced brisket was just a little dry. It wasn't bad. The sausage was amazing. It is housemade with green onions and incredible. I generally don't care for sausages that are different, but this one is exceptional and everyone at the table tried it and loved it. The pulled pork was fresh, which is super important and delicious! Wonderful smoky flavor and super tender. They know exactly what they're doing with pork. I'm gonna say that the beans here are the best in the metro. I'm very particular and I don't like beans that are too sweet like Slaps. Those gag me. The Filling Station beans are absolute perfection. Other reviews say the same. The creamy coleslaw was wonderful! My wife put it on her pulled pork sandwich and I had a little bit for dessert because it's sweet. The homemade potato salad was also the best I've had in a long time. We can't wait to return!

As transplants from another state, and BBQ not being our first language, we wanted to try new things! They came to the table and we were all sort of perplexed. Were they supposed to look like...that? Either way, we dug in. They were cold in the middle, also a strange discovery to us. I ordered the burnt ends, which came to the table closer to cold than warm. The blue cheese potato salad was tasty and all it needed was a lil salt and pepper to make it perfect. All was going well, until my husband was about 4-5 bites into his brisket wrap. He asked me to smell it, and I did. It was funky! Smelled a lot like a foot and not a lot like a tortilla. He asked the server to smell it and they agreed it was a bit odd. The manager came over and denied it smelling like anything. My husband had finished his meal, and we weren't looking for a freebie but wanted to let them know it was a lil weird. Instead of acknowledging the potential issue, we were dismissed as "wrong." It just didn't sit right with me. My husband had some definite issues in the hour or two after eating, so we won't be back. I won't say it was food poisoning because genuinely it could have just not agreed with my husband. I'll put my disclaimer on here, I hope people do enjoy and continue to patronize this small business, it's just not to my liking.

We decided to have a quick early dinner here in town, and did a Yelp search for "great places to eat near me". This place was high in the list. We read the reviews and found ourselves driving around a building that had ZERO markings for the Burn Theory Fire Kitchen on it, but our Maps app said we were here. Turned out, the food for Burn Theory Fire Kitchen was cooked in a food truck in a parking lot and served inside the Diametric Brewing Company which is located at the address listed for Burn Theory Fire Kitchen. I will say, my husband ordered a special beer called "Cherry Street Wheat" and it was very unusual, and seriously tasty!!! I'm not a beer fan, but would drink one of these any day! So, getting back to the food... we'd both ordered a trio of street tacos that we did a mix and match of with their various proteins. We ordered this way to share with each other. We also love to discover new and unusual bites. After reading the reviews and their menu, we were excited for the promise of something uniquely delicious... and were completely disappointed!!! All but one (excluding the shrimp) of the six different tacos we'd ordered, bordered on the inedible side. The proteins were seemingly overcooked, folded into little leathery tortilla shells, and served to our table cold, dry and tough. They tasted as if they had been reheated from the weekends leftovers. Maybe we came on the wrong day. Perhaps if we'd visited on a weekend, or on the same day they were actually cooking the meats initially, we'd had a better experience. I don't know, and frankly do not plan to find out. Additionally, to be fair, their condiments (ie: the Ketchup and BBQ sauce) seemed to be made fresh and made from scratch. They were sadly the best part of our meal. Honorable mention to the Diametric Brewing Company which served us one of the most delicious and unique beers we've ever tasted!

I ordered the Burn Theory Cubano: House smoked ham and pulled pork, melted Swiss cheese, pickles and house made mustard on toasted brioche. This sandwich was huge! It's very shareable if you're ordering sides. The meat was super smoky and I loved the flavor. It's definitely a top 5 Cuban in KC. We ordered several sides: seasoned fries, smoked Mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was good sized and easily shareable as a starter. I liked the house made dressing. If you wanted to have this as an entree, you have the option to add brisket, chicken, or shrimp. I will definitely consider it in the future. The seasoned fries were pretty standard. My boyfriend liked the seasoning and that they didn't put too much on them. My 3 doggos also enjoyed a few. The smoked Mac and cheese was probably my favorite side and I'll have a hard time getting a different one in the future. The Smokey flavor was perfect and not overwhelming. The pasta wasn't overcooked and the sauce was creamy. I end up at Strange Days pretty often and I feel like this is a perfect addition to the area. I'll definitely be ordering from them in the future while I enjoy a beer.
