The food here is always great! Seriously some underrated wings - I find myself craving the spicy Thai chili wings often. Service is also always quick and friendly. The last time we went, I wanted a plain club soda with limes to drink and our waitress didn't know what club soda was, which is a little strange. I'm a former waitress and bartender so I know club soda is a staple in bars. There's an opportunity for training here. I told her that if she asked the bartender for club soda they'd know (they did). The ambiance is always fun and busy. I don't think we've ever been here and seen it slow, which only speaks to the great food and service. it starts with the fact I was standing in the waiting area with no acknowledgement for a descent period of time when I can see multiple waitresses gossiping about and had looked my way multiple times. I was finally acknowledged by the only waitress who seems to be actually doing her job. she stated I could sit anywhere, I proceeded to find a seat where I again waited a while for anyone to come to my table. the original girl who told me to sit anywhere came and asked me if I had been helped and I told he I had not. She went and got my drink and told me my waitress was busy and would be with me soon. my waitress was lousy was very short and quick with me as if I was less important than the only other table she was taking care of. I ordered the steak and potatoes with fries. She never came and checked with me until she brought my order where I had to proceed to tell her I needed another drink as soon as she put my plate on her table all I heard was does it look ok and she was gone again. The steak I understand is not from a steak restaurant but was bland as if the only thing done was throw it on the grill even through I'm pretty sure a garlicky butter was supposed to be on top, no flavor no offer of steak sauce and in my opinion only time you use steak sauce if the steak isn't done well and it truly wasn't. I felt like an unwanted guest. I asked her about if any seasoning was used on steak she said she didn't know and at that point I was done. I gave her cash and left. It took 35 minutes to get a single drink from the bar, and when it finally came out, it wasn't even the right one. I asked for a water and waited 50 minutes. That's not an exaggeration. Nearly an hour... for water. The only thing that came out with any sense of urgency was the food, which is honestly the only reason this isn't a zero-star review--if that were an option. The whole place was chaotic, unorganized, and felt like a total circus. I've been to plenty of Twin Peaks locations before and never had an experience this bad. Had the opportunity to do a review outside of STL and headed out to Independence, MO and checked out Twin Peak bar and grill. Twin Peaks is just under a 1/2 hour from Kansas City next to several shopping areas. Twin Peaks offer the classic bar and grill vibe with a flare of lumberjack apparel for the staff. Sat at the bar during happy hour and the restaurant side was filling up very fast for the dinner rush. I went with the traditional wing order (love wings) but went out of my way to try their signature sauces. Now I've eaten my share of hot wings but Twin Peaks definitely put me to the test tonight. I went with the dozen naked bone-in wings, (they have breaded too) splitting my sauces pineapple habanero and their signature original hot ( highly recommended by bar staff). Wings were served quickly (1/2 beer wait) and didn't disappoint! For anyone who loves spicy this place is for you. Twin Peaks also has several other hot sauce options available and you can try them in advance (highly recommended). Bar staff was very friendly and always made sure you're beverage is topped off. Happy hour (3-6) specials were reasonably priced as well as multiple appetizer options. Restaurant staff was appropriately staff and servicing tables quickly and consistently. If I'm ever back in the area again, I will make the stop for another round of hot wings. If anyone wants hot wings, this is your place. read more

I've been to Twin Peaks two times. The first time, and the last time. When I walked in if I hadn't initiated a conversation with three people standing at the host stand I'd probably still be standing there. When asked I said I wanted a table and she took me to the bar. I said again I wanted a table and she started towards the booths and then turned and asked me if a high top was ok. I said yes, that's a table, it'll do. Then a completely different person brought me a menu. When my waitress finally made an appearance she took my drink order and walked away. 10 minutes later when my drinks arrived she asked if I want an appetizer and i ordered one. After she brought it she disappeared. After about 10 minutes I asked one of the other waitresses if she could send mine over. One of the managers came over and asked if there was a problem and I told her I just wanted to order food. She took my order and came back a few minutes later to apologize that they can't find my waitress. I ordered the fish and chips and it wasn't that good. The fish was soggy, the batter was soggy and not crispy. The fries were ok. I was hoping for a better experience but sadly it turned out to be a let down. There were 3 girls at the hostess station when I walked in by myself. I had to initiate the conversation. I asked if I could go to the bar area they said whatever. Been there twice now. Thought it was just a Hooters kinda thing before going. Girls are cute, but to me, personality is everything. The first time we had an excellent server. My husband and I have been long-time patrons of this restaurant. We go often during football season since they have a lot of TV's. Today we went and as per usual asked to sit outside on the patio. It was 11:30 and the place was almost empty. The hostess took us to a table where we could only see one TV. We asked if we could sit at one of the many empty tables that had views of more TV's, and she said something crazy about the other tables not being in her section and we would have to "wait awhile before we could be seated". I had never been to Twin Peaks so I was under the misconception that this was more about the waitresses than the food. Went here with untie hubs and my sister. Hubs and I have never been so we were not aware of the play on words for Twin Peaks. Lol Very interesting to say the least. Since it was Sunday and there were a million football games in, it was pretty busy but we were seated right away. Many of the patrons were very invested in one game in particular so it was pretty noisy but funny. Our wait staff was nice. She checked on us appropriately and wasn't to hasty in trying to take our order. My sister and I had the Buffalo chicken salad (sans blue cheese) and hubs had 6 smoked Pineapple Habanero wings and the Cobb salad. I had water to drink since I can't drink drink right now and they both had Dirty Blond beers. My salad was good and I'm glad I asked for the extra side of ranch because it needed it. One side of the salad was missing dressing altogether. Hubs said the wings were the best that he's ever had! They says a lot since he loves wings and orders them just about at everyplace we go. He said he would come back just for the wings. The salad, not so much. He wasn't a fan of the dressing. Said it was odd to be paired with a Cobb salad. I requested no bacon on my green beans; my plate was served with bacon:/ Unfortunately, I had to send the whole plate back. I then ordered the fish and chips, to go. Sight seeing aside the food is actually good. Better than most sports bar chains. I think that's in part to a smaller menu. They're not trying to do their version of spaghetti or Chinese wontons. It's typical American bar food...straight and simple. Good appetizer selection as well. The drafts on tap are ice cold. And they also have a fairly decent amount of beer that isnt draft. Our waitress was friendly and not overly. I didn't observe any crude or rude behavior by anybody. It was almost a 50-50 mix of male and females that were there during lunch. The only complaint I have was I went to the restaurant and was waiting to be seated and I made a couple steps toward the lady that was going to be seated and she totally freaked out saying don't come any closer stay where you are! After my last review, we kept visiting. Even though our first visit wasn't the best experience, this restaurant has great staff, food, and drinks. Our most recent visit was a great time.
