I stop by occasionally for lunch and have never experienced an issue. Everyone is always very friendly, service is quick (even when the place is busy), and the food is really good! I usually get the All-American burger, and if do it as part of a lunch special it's an EXCELLENT deal. I customize the burger and it always comes out correct. I also ask for crispy fries, and they do that for me too. My last visit was yesterday, and the manager was checking on tables and making sure everyone was doing good (nice to see). For years we have been a Buffalo Wild Wings fan... but the Buffalo Wild Wings in Mankato is struggling in multiple areas. Last month the kitchen was so behind it took over 60 minutes to get our food. The wait staff even seemed frustrated offering their tables free deserts. Then this past week we were given our bill and then our waitress stopped working. Not just our table but all of her tables. People were walking up to the wait staff kiosk in the middle to check out. 15 minutes after giving us our bill, I finally had to waive someone down to pay. Not sure they deserve a second chance.. maybe I'll give it a few months and see if they've resolved some of there issues. read more

Cheeseburger was a work of art. Leonardo ain't got anything on that All American Cheese Burger. Service was all around pretty good. Consistent refills and quick order taking and food preparation. I will start by saying the restaurant was pretty busy when we got there. Waited a bit for the food, which was expected. Ordered chips and salsa, the chips were good but the salsa was gross. Was more like a slightly spicy tomato paste. Definitely tasted like it was from a can. We tried to eat it but didn't eat much. Food is brought out by someone other than our server which is fine and I noticed this happens a lot there but, the person dropping off the food just drops it off and goes without seeing if you need anything. I also had fries that had obviously been under a heat lamp for some time. When the server eventually came to get us drinks, I was mostly done eating. I politely mentioned that the salsa was not good. She did come back and tell us that she took it off the bill, I appreciated that. So, some food was bad, some mid, some was real good. I have eaten at this establishment many times and they have grown Leaps and Bounds from when they first opened. If you get the Boneless Wings they will simply never disappoint you. Used to go here a lot. They're always busy, but server quality has suffered in recent years. A while back we had a server (Corey maybe), younger gal, who really has no business being in hospitality. She brought the wrong food for my wife. It was spicy and my wife can't eat spicy due to an injury related to her throat cancer. Server never checked on us, we just sat there looking at the food. Next time we see her, she drops the check and doesn't acknowledge the fact we haven't touched our food. We told her what happened, she said, "oh" and walked away. Didn't come back, didn't get a manager, didn't even apologize or offer the correct food. We boxed it up and payed as we told the manager about it on the way out. I'm yet to have a good experience at this location, but my most recent experience was so awful it warranted review. The food was great, and I have no complaints with the food at all from this visit, the issue was with service. We came in at 9:30 in the evening and were one of three tables on the carpeted area, with 4-5 more in the bar. Not significantly busy, but decent enough. After six or seven minutes, I asked the hostess if anyone was on the way. About a minute later, our server Sam came over and asked what we'd like to drink, and I asked if they had Castle Danger Cream Ale on tap. He goes to ask the bar, comes back, says "no we don't have Newcastle". Okay, so he misheard me -- doesn't matter at all to be honest -- I'm not gonna waste this kids time and have him go back to the bar to ask again. I order a Lagunitas IPA and my girlfriend orders a soda. A few minutes later, he drops off the drinks -- good so far. He leaves and we check out the menu. Never comes back. 25 minutes later, I walk up to him (since we're ready to order) where he's just been standing by the computer looking down. I notice he's on his phone. I say "can we order" and he says "yeah what would you like". I told him "well my girlfriend wants to order too, can we go to the table?" And we go to the table to order. We order, and I watch him very carefully because he's clearly not taking it seriously. He never logs into the computer, just walks back over to it and gets on his phone again. After about 10 mins I get up to refill my girlfriends soda and ask the bartender for another beer, both of which had been empty since before we ordered food (my own fault, I should've asked while he was there). On the way back I stop at the computer (texting yet again) and say "hey is our food on the way" and he says something to the effect of "oh yeah, I'm putting it in right now." Now I'm irritated. I'm a bartender in downtown Minneapolis, and my first job in the service industry was at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Hutchinson, which the gentleman who owns this franchise also owns. I know what busy is, and I know what an apathetic server is. This isn't good service, even at a McDonald's. Long story short, the food is on point and they have a decent sporty atmosphere, but if you're coming here, plan on playing a very active role in making sure you receive service. read more
