Beef tips with fries, with iceberg lettuce "garnish". Meat was OK, fries were mildly warm.

Spent the day in Old Forge, wife and daughter wanted to eat at the Buffalo Head on the way home. First sign of impending trouble was the lack of vehicles in their parking lot. The inside of the building looks and SMELLS like 1950. A waiteress seated us and took our drink orders, came back with drinks and then took our dinner orders. She came back once again with some warm rolls and butter, and then left. There were no plates or anything, so we had to use our napkins as plates . When our food came out, it was a fellow that either managed or owned the place (I assume) that brought out two meals, then asked my 20 year old daughter "you didn't order anything?"...Ahhhh, YES! He went into the kitchen for a bit, then came out with her food. In the meantime, my wife bit into her scallops...ice cold! As well as the scoop of mashed potatoes on her plate....had to send those back for a warm up. Not to mention her side dish ( green beans) that had to be asked for three times before they were brought out. They were warm, but looked like they were fresh out of a can. The "garnish" on the plates was a sprinkle of iceberg lettuce... It was SUCH a disappointment, because I have been going there for 50 years, when my parents used to take me as a child. It was always a big deal when we went to the "Buffalo Head". The manager did apologize, it just seemed like the whole staff was not organized in any way. Our original waitress DID return when it was time to pay the bill, and said "Sorry, I was in the other room with another party".... Not a problem, just won't spend my hard earned money there any more.

The restaurant was quite on a week night but the food and the service was great. Just as it was many years ago.

I ordered the Steak and Shrimp Skewers, which came with a side, so I got the garlic mashed potatoes. My boyfriend went with the regional specialty - Utica Riggies - a creamy, spicy pasta dish that is typically made with chicken. You could choose shrimp, chicken, or sausage, so he went with the sausage and ordered it medium heat. We both really enjoyed our dishes! They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Our waitress was nice enough - she was also the bartender. We came here to try the wings - which were highly recommended to us. We tried to order the wings, and they were out of both the bone in and boneless wings. Bummer. I tried to order an entree, and they were out of that as well. Ended up ordering the chicken parm. My husband ordered the steak with creamy risotto. We split the fried mozzarella to start. Our meals came with side salads which were mostly onion and served with a very thick ranch dressing (almost like a veggie dip.) Not the worst salad I've had, but weird. The fried mozzarella turned things around for us - this was absolutely delicious. Thick, crispy, triangles with an incredible cheese pull on top of marinara sauce. My chicken parm was MASSIVE, and it was also super delicious. The marinara was good, the chicken was fried and crispy. My husbands steak was perfect. It was thick, well seared, and cooked just the way he likes it. The side of creamy risotto left a bit to be desired, but the steak made up for it. Overall, the food was good but the atmosphere was a bit strange. It was very quiet and bright in the dining area. It felt uncomfortable being the only two in the restaurant and the music was dead quiet on top of that. I can't say that we would come back, but the food was good! It left us wondering why the restaurant was so empty!

Even with how crowded it was, the service was absolutely top notch from start to finish. Attentive, professional, and well-paced without ever feeling rushed. The ambiance is classic upscale steakhouse with a modern feel, lively but still comfortable enough for conversation, making it a great spot for a business dinner or group outing. We enjoyed bottles of great red Merlot, which paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience. We started with a Caesar salad that was very fresh and served with anchovies, which in my opinion is what makes a true Caesar and it did not disappoint. I ordered the sea bass, which had a really cool presentation and was cooked nicely. It felt elevated and thoughtfully prepared. The lobster bisque looked beautiful presentation-wise but was just okay in flavor. It lacked depth and richness and I found myself rushing through it. The family-style sides were excellent and more than enough for our party of six. The creamed spinach and mushrooms were both very good and everyone at the table loved them. As for the steaks, everyone was extremely happy. Our group tried a variety of the available cuts and each one was cooked properly and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, TS Steakhouse delivered a great dining experience with excellent service, strong ambiance, quality food, and standout sides. I would definitely return, especially for a group dinner or special occasion.

This is a very hometown feel restaurant loaded with regulars and visitors to the area alike. Our goup came in to wonderful hellos and we were brought to the "Tony Bennett Room." What a great setting... Plenty of the America Songbook being played at the restaurant which included Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin singing many tunes. Our room also had plenty of photos of Tony at all stages of his career. Our wonderful server came over to our table moments after we sat down, introduced herself and immediately took drinks orders and followed up with menus and water. She was great throughout the entire eating experience and deserves a whole lot of Kudos! What did we all eat? Without going through each item, here is a list of appetizers and main meals. We were extra excited by what seemed to be their signature dish, steak and mashed potatoes. Well, we had an 8pm reservation, which to me is normal time, but seems to be like a last seating for this restaurant. The place was full upon entering but emptied out quickly during our meal experience. It was just our immediate family of 4. Started with cocktails and proceeded to order the seafood trio app, which was good. Wedge salad, which was also good. Had a nice waitress who had a good sense of humor. The rest went downhill. We all ordered different types of steaks and 3 of 4 medium rare, one NY Strip medium. Ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and some other accompanying sauces. All 3 steaks came out in variations of well done - gross! On an even more disappointing note, we were told there is no more mashed potatoes, which is why we chose this place, and then told only 2 baked potatoes, so we had to decide who gets it and who doesn't. A TERRIBLE thing to happen at a steak restaurant, in addition to ruining what seemed to be quality steaks. The Brussel sprouts came out overly well done drenched in their sauce. Bite into any of them and they were totally deflated and not good. We couldn't even eat it. The waitress came back and asked how things were... my wife's fillet was so over cooked the waitress even agreed and offered to remake. By this time it was almost 9:15 and she lost her appetite. The three of us just didn't mention how ours were because it would have just caused chaos that none of us wanted. We NEVER send back food, but in this case, hers was insanely overcooked. We asked to have it removed from the bill, which they did. Regardless, we dropped $430, including a $70 tip (because I am generous... waitress should have done a lot more for us when noticing the quality of what was served to us) for the 4 of us, with only 3 main meals. Just a real poor experience. I'm hoping this was just an isolated happening, but completely upset it happened to us for my daughter's graduation, son's 25th Bday and our 27th Anniversary. All that weekend. Advice to owner: please ensure you have enough product for your reservations. We were not walk-ins. Then, listen to the customer's request for how they prefer their steaks to be cooked and serve as ordered. 8pm reservation should not make a difference from a 6pm. I'm just really disappointed and wish we went to Ts instead, but liked the idea of smaller and more intimate.
