Went for my parent's anniversary. Everyone working was so friendly and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a darker setting but there are lights on the table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a bit of a tight fit. My dad uses a walker and there was no issue, but I'm not sure a wheelchair would fit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the food was fantastic. We had a snafu with our gift card and the server made a call and fixed it right away. It felt very special and welcoming.

Excellent dinner. The steak was crisp and cooked perfectly. The quality was high and the melted in my mouth. We sat in the bar and were served by the bartender. Our service was prompt and the bartender was very knowledgeable and kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is very well maintained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very intimate space with sophisticated decor. The stained glass accents are stunning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love coming here. Can't wait to come back.

I made reservations for three at my brothers request, he had selected the restaurant for an upcoming visit. We had 5pm reservations and unfortunately missed the exit off thruway putting us thirty minutes past reservation. I called and thankfully they were able to accommodate our tardiness. The owner greeted us upon arrival and insisted on taking our picture. I was escorted to the table promptly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is vintage and only a soft glow illuminates the dining area. Ideal for an intimate dinner, quintessential setting for romance, or any special occasion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Many celebrations were taking place throughout our visit, I lost count of the number of sparkler candles being presented to guests. The service was impeccable throughout our meal. Water and fresh bread were served, cocktails and wine shortly after. We were never rushed, started with Sicilian steamers that were bathing in a white wine, garlic sauce that deserved to be soaked up by every ounce of bread! Delicious! The sauce was raved about this could be an entree served on linguini! I had the filet with Oscar topping cooked to medium rare. Cooked to perfection, hollandaise sauce with crab and asparagus. The crab is canned but that did not deter me from ordering, and was plentiful! My brother enjoyed his chicken Parmesan, and his spouse Steak Dianne. Both also excellent! The owner did check on tables during dining experience as well. The wine and cocktails were flowing, waters refilled, food was boxed for us. We finished with a chocolate mousse cake that was divine! Three hours and $321 bill and worth every penny! My brother loved it as well, three very happy diners, tons of food to go! Charlie even called the following afternoon , following up on our dining experience with a lovely voicemail. Arrivaderci for now, we will be returning!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small space in the Best Western (very old school, can't remember the last time I ate in a destination restaurant at a Best Western).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reservations are a must. If you reserve on Open Table interestingly they write down your reservation at the hostess stand by your first name in a book, not a computer (very old school). Knowing this will save you some time and angst when you check in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are placed close together (Reminds me of being in Manhattan).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Crabcakes were good but not the lump crabcakes you would get in Maryland. The Sicilian Steamers were outstanding. Had the 30 oz bone-in ribeye which was the best steak I've had in Syracuse. The garlic mashed were great. The almond cake was amazing. Had a great time. Next time I'll have to try one of their Italian entrees. Who am I kidding, next time I'm getting the steak again.

Just had an amazing birthday dinner with one of my closest friends and as always enjoyed every bit of the lobster linguini, Caesar salad, and crème brûlée! No place better.

Exceeded expectations. We've always heard it was amazing, but for whatever reason just made here to celebrate our anniversary -- and we loved it. The service, food, drinks were all top-notch, it's truly a gem.

A wonderful surprise of an experience inside a Best Western. Very intimate setting with exceptional service. Dinner was truly outstanding and a romantic decor. Soups are full of flavor, including French Onion and a New England Clam Chowder special. The calamari steak is a must have on the regular menu for an appetizer... Best I've had since Hawaii. The seared tuna special was seasoned and prepared flawlessly. For the entrée, they do justice to lamb chops with blue cheese. Dessert is worth saving room for. The peanut butter mouse was thick and filled with chocolate and nuts. The bread is not something to be overlooked. Fresh and hot with a sweet butter cream. The attentive care and attention from the wait staff is what you'd expect from a Manhattan level institution. This will definitely be a stop on my next trip up this way.

I was a little bit wary about going to Prime the way we were dressed (super casual as we'd just come from the nearby mall). My husband called ahead to inquire about the wait for a table, dress code, and if they could accommodate our daughter's allergies. He was informed there was no wait and it'd be fine to come as we were and was reassured that they could accommodate our daughter. We were some of the most casually dressed (sneakers, jeans, husband in a t shirt, etc) in the dining room and only party with children but no one batted an eye. Food menu looked typical in offerings and prices on par with chain steak houses that are three dollar signs. I didn't look too closely at the wine and cocktail list. We had half a dozen oysters, petite filet mignon with blue cheese, cowboy steak, side of mac and cheese, side of sweet corn crème brûlée, side of asparagus, side of French fries, and chicken for my daughter. I had an autumn cocktail, husband had an old fashioned, kids had apple cider and lemonade. Total came out to under $300. Everything was solid. I enjoyed how our steaks came with whole cloves of garlic. We like our steaks medium rare and they were cooked perfectly. Katrina asked us to cut into them to double check they were fine. My daughter's chicken was tender and the French fries were so crispy, we were concerned about them being breaded at first. The side of French fries was big enough for the kids to share. I especially enjoyed the sweet corn crème brûlée. I didn't care much for the mac and cheese. I enjoyed my seasonal cocktail but found the old fashioned to be a bit harsh. Like aforementioned, Katrina made our night. It was nice chatting with her, she gave us just the right amount of attention, and she was extra patient with the kids even when my youngest spilled his practically full glass of lemonade. She was also very knowledgeable about what's on the menu and in the food. This is very reassuring when you have a kid with a lot of allergies. I'd come here again if I was in the mood for a solid steak dinner.

Espresso martini seemed recommended & it was good, not too sweet. Then we ordered the short rib raviolis (definitely a hit) and the steak (maybe because it's dining week, but it was not as impressive as I had hoped) & dessert, which was fun but I wish it was an actual dessert. Overall I would definitely recommend, but take from the "real" menu, the price would be worth it!

I was the only returning patron, the others much enjoyed their first time here. Walking through the front door you're instantly hit with a wonderful smell of food cooking over an open fire. Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

We were promptly seated and ordered glasses of wine while perusing the menu, which is on the smaller side. That usually means everything on it is rather good, so we had high expectations. We started with the Mushroom Toast, Ember Roasted Carrots, and Beef Tartar. I'll start with the bad and finish with the good. The Ember Roasted Carrots were a complete miss. They were trying to go for a middle-eastern flavor, with each ingredient contrasting, while the carrot served as the centerpiece to flavor. I found this to be INCREDIBLY bland. The carrots were not salted enough during roasting and lacked enough char. They dish also needed more labneh than it was served with. It literally just tasted like carrots and yoghurt. Honestly, if I could only give one critique it would be to have used more salt, but this dish was a real disappointment. The Beef Tartar suffered from a similar issue. It was bland. Not enough salt was used. It unfortunately tastes like flat beef. I overheard the bartender talking to another couple and he told them they really want to highlight the ingredients. The idea is purity or something like that. And that's well and good, but you still need to season beef tartar. I don't think this is necessarily a poor execution of the dish(es) rather this is more in line with the philosophy of the kitchen, and that's fine. It's just not for me. And now for the good. The Mushroom Toast was great. It had all the things I had wanted. Fat, salt, umami, freshness. This was a good dish and I would get this again. As for the entrees, my husband and I ordered the Cappelletti and the NY Strip. The Cappelleti was the strongest dish of the night. The flavors were layered and intentional. This was a great dish and I1000% would get it again. My husband ordered the NY Strip along with bone marrow. It was cooked to perfection. Cooking it over a wood fire gave it a great char and almost Smokey flavor. It was very flavorful. The chimichurri made the steak feel lighter than it actually was. My husband loved it and I loved having a bite or two of everything together. This was a complete dish and I'd highly recommend it. The only knock I could give it is the bone marrow. There was a lack of volume in it which is probably due to being cooked over a wood fire. Parts of the bones were also over roasted. I'd skip this the next time and get the foie gras pate. Lastly, for desert we were disappointed that we could not try the rice pudding as they were out of it (we will try it the next time if available). We did however order the Flourless Chocolate Torte to share. It was made perfectly. It was rich and decadent but remained light. It was almost like a mousse, but not quite. We loved it. Overall, the had a great time. There were several highlights and I think they make up for the a couple of the earlier dishes. I'd like to see what else they have to offer when they change their menu.

TPOH nailed it: "Speaking of hearing, I can't take too much loud music I mean I like to play it, but I sure don't like the racket" I'm starting here, with the vibe, which sets the scene, dig? Decor-wise, it's luxe lounge, and is a welcome surprise in the Salt City. We use Resy, and...either the hostess misheard our party size, didn't really care, didn't really doublecheck to read our actual reservation, or whatever man, that's just your opinion. So, the backroom might have been a bit better suited for us olds, we were ushered into the front room. Not the window, but pretty darn close. Again, fun for people watching, inside and out. But damn it kids, if you have a DJ, I want to talk to Sir Vibes A Lot and ask them how they think thumping house music actually aids in digestion? Maybe I unconsciously started chewing to the unrelenting 4/4 beat, anything's possible. Now onto the menu, and back to the identity crisis. Like a lot of places, the York has a broad spectrum of offerings. Burger. Nashville Hot. Multiple pasta options. Sure, sure, sure. The porkchop with kimchi fried rice was the clear winner, hands down. The chicken, mashed and greens took second place (but I'll give ya a pro tip chef: the longer you cook your greens, the better they are). The salmon was a distant third because everything bagel seasoning is a lot after a while, and the veg was uninspired. Our TL:DR recommendation is come for cocktails and poutine. The poutine satisfied by itself. Our server was great- thanks, Destiny!

I read up on the menu and discovered they offered lamb chops which is one of my absolute favourites. A taste of home for me! Friendly and efficient staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back.
