Been using Buff's for forty years. Honest, good work. I use them for required warranty services when I own a new car.

I've only been here twice (initially on a co-worker's recommendation) but I've been happy both times. The first time they picked me up from a nearby car rental place when my car was ready. (Without prior arrangement -- the rental agency was supposed to give me a ride but didn't have anyone available to do so, so I called Buff's to see if they could pick me up and they were super nice about it and turned up in just a few minutes.) Just recently, I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection, and to fix a non-working windshield wiper. They did all of the above but only charged me for the oil change and tire rotation (a smidge over $50). They weren't super fast, but neither time did I ask them to rush; I bet if I'd expressed a need to get my car back quickly -- or if I'd brought it earlier in the day -- they would have tried to accommodate. Service has been friendly and efficient, without any of the condescending vibe that (as a female) I have gotten from so many other auto shops. It's a small place and they don't really have a waiting room to speak of, which is the only reason I didn't give five stars. We're a one-car household, so it would be great if they had a comfy place to sit and read while waiting for something relatively quick like an oil change. On the other hand, if they expanded to add such niceties, prices would have to go up... can't have it all! read more

I have been coming here for years. I drive about 25 minutes one way to drop off cars at Buff's. I cannot afford to go any where else. My car broke down yesterday, and I was stuck in the middle of Sand Creek Road. My tow company towed to Buff's. They were closed at the time, but I left a note, and followed up the next morning. Much to my surprise, I did not need a new transmission, as originally expected. I needed a cable, which was damaged. Jerry did a wonderful job explaining to me exactly what was wrong, and got my car done before noon! I was thrilled, and even though he's a Yankee's fan, I decided to write a review for him anyway! :) I was very very pleased with the customer service I received here. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

You've gotta be kidding me. What are you talking about no appointment? They asked me to make an appointment to be able to have an appointment made!!!!! I went there and wanted to have someone to just have a LOOK at the tires to see if I need to have them replaced. I was told that they CANNOT do that without an appointment. I agreed and asked for an appointment (the first was a WEEK later) and they asked me to DROP the car and leave (WITHOUT telling me how long this will take). When I asked when I need to come back and pick it up they said they DO NOT KNOW. So basically I only asked for someone to see if the car needs anything in terms of tires to start with and the answer was that I needed to make an appointment to figure it out and then make another appointment to get it fixed AND no timeframe is given (i.e. to make an appointment to be able to have another appointment made!) Not to mention they have no sense of good customer service whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!! They are RUDE absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! NOT WORTH IT- take your business somewhere else. There are lots of great places you can go to for tires around the capital region. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I bought a 2002 Lancer in September of 2002 and I have never brought it any where else besides Buffs. Never! and now the car is 11 years old 140,000 miles and has had needed some work over the years but never anything that was un needed or over priced. When I buy another car I will continue only to use Buffs. They are great. read more
