I work from home so I was present during the time the representative came and did the work on the house looking for and fixing all possible accesses into and around the house. The gentleman spent from 11:30am -6pm (a few short water breaks) filling and closing up holes and gaps big and small. (House is average size) He attached a contraption that allows the critters to exit the attic but then they are unable to re-enter. Because of this, there most likely will not be any critters to actually trap within the attic (where we heard the noises). Then a few days later, live traps were set around the perimeter of the house and traps were set in the attic. They will check them each day for five days. So far we do not hear noises in the attic so I think the mitigation is working. I have been happy with communication and the representatives being easy to talk to or contact about questions or concerns.

They claimed they set traps on numerous occasions with no success, and repeatedly canceled scheduled appointments. Upon returning home this week (first week of August 2026), I bought a basic trap from the local Tractor Supply store and caught raccoons three nights in a row with a 100% success rate. If a total layman can resolve the issue in three days, a professional company charging premium fees should easily be able to do the same. Given their constant cancellations and total lack of results while I was away, I feel taken advantage of and cannot recommend their services.

We only got a quote for one despite repeated attempts and it seemed because he wasn't knowledgeable about those other options and was going to check with his boss. There was no follow up on these. What really turned us off of Bulwark though was how predatory they are about getting you to sign up. They called both my husband and I multiple times a day for at least a month from some franchise call center. The frequency went down but it was almost non-stop for months. We were really hoping to use them for this specialized treatment and potentially sign up for their regular pest control services but the lack of follow through, lack of knowledge, and nonstop phone calls with high pressure tactics are a hard no from us. TJ & Matt (owner's sons) have always been responsive, courteous, knowledgable, and fair in their pricing. They deliver quality service and are a pleasure to do business with. Unfortunately for their customers, Roy's was purchased by Plunkett's Pest Control, a much larger, Minnesota-based company, earlier this year, and the customer service has gone down the proverbial drain. On Monday, 7/15, we had a swarm of flying ants. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of ants. After several unanswered calls to the local number and also to the toll-free national number for Plunkett's, leaving messages and asking repeatedly for a return call, on 7/18 (fourth day after our first call) we received a response, which basically said they wanted to discuss our contract. Ultimately, on the 19th, I actually spoke to a company rep. He, unfortunately, was in Illinois. After attempting to direct the blame for Plunkett's total lack of response on the former business owners/managers, staffing issues, and every imaginable unrelated obstacle, he indicated they were "bringing in a team" over the weekend to get the staffing situation under control, and that they were "in the process of hiring and training technicians." Throughout his excuse-laden response, the Plunkett's rep told me "honestly this," and "honestly that" ( said "honestly" at least five times) and, finally actually apologized that Plunkett's had failed so miserably. By the time he got around to the apology, I "honestly" didn't care, as it was quite apparent to me that Plunkett's didn't care enough to adequately staff a new company acquisition in order to meet client demand, didn't want to acknowledge where the responsibility for that failure should rest, and had no chance of retaining my business. Plunkett's may redeem themselves once they get on the ball in Santa Fe, but it was not a good first impression, and, honestly, it will be the only impression we ever have of Plunkett's.

Around our house we really try to live with nature. I mean it, bees, wasps, snakes, birds,…read morerabbits... everyone is welcome at our place. Even skunks. Well, even skunks UNLESS they get a bunch of assitude and spray my big, 100 lb + dog in the face, when he wasn't even bothering them. That's right! Some black and white striped assh*** , took advantage of our wildlife friendly policy and sprayed the giant white dog. Now keep in mind that it takes 3 hours to bathe said giant white dog, and was 11PM at night, right when I was about to go to bed. As you can imagine, that skunk had got to GO! So we called Daniel, and he helped us out. For a very reasonable price, Daniel came right over and set a bunch of live-traps around the property. We caught our skunk on the first night with the help of Daniels secret bait (attracts skunks, not cats, or rabbits). Daniel kept the traps at our property for 7 days (checking them daily) just in case there was more than one skunk ,and sure enough, we got two more (its the North Valley, there are probably more skunks than people living here) later in the week. We are very happy with Daniel's professional, friendly service and reasonable prices. We really hope we don't need to call him back. Relocating wildlife is hard on the wildlife, and in my opinion, it should be a last resort, but if we get another skunk dead set on being a jerk, we'll definitely call Daniel again!
