We came here (belatedly) on the advice of a friend to celebrate national coffee day. Due to some time in the fun first we all ordered different cold coffee drinks. All three were very good. I visited buggy town coffee with three friends after camping on probably a Sunday afternoon the store owner spoke to us so professionally and with so much sincerity and consideration and we probably looked like we just fell out the back of a pick up truck filthy from not having showered from a maximum of maybe a night in tents in the wild of Uwharri. I store owners sincerely cares about sourcing her coffee at the absolute maximum of quality ethically and in a place like Carthage North Carolina coming from a resident who has lived here for my entire life and my family is from here for many generations it is extremely impressive and absolutely refreshing the shop is extremely clean very well-kept and tidy every employee is very kind and happy to serve us and answer any questions that we may have everyone is very attentive this place deserves all the praise anyone could give them please tip your barista's read more

This is my favorite place to stop every time I'm in Carthage or driving through the area. The baked goods are delicious, the lunch is filling and the coffee is really great. The best coffee! Including a chemex for 2! The ambiance is amazing, none of that weird Starbucks vibe. It's the way a local coffee shop should be. Great coffee (in a mug!) and friendly service! Cute shop inside and out. Cold brew is also pretty tasty. But I've found that I can never get the same drink twice-consistency of flavors changes based on barista, it's as if they have no basic recipe that they're all following. When I order the same latte one day and then same one the following week, I'm expecting it to taste relatively similar. However, that is not the case here. Also, because it's a small shop and town you'd expect a friendly hello and a warm inviting atmosphere...never receive that, just glares from the baristas behind the counter (The owners on the other hand are very nice and friendly!) These folks know coffee. Had not enjoyed a coffee from a coffee shop in years before this gem landed in Carthage. Amazingly they make a decaf that tastes great. I needed to meet a friend at a halfway point between Raleigh and Albemarle. Carthage was a close midway point. Knowing nothing of Carthage, I did online searches for a restaurant or coffee shop as a meeting spot. The reviews of Buggy Town sounded great, so it was decided. I met my friend at this bright sunny little coffee shop and we ordered coffees--actually I ordered a chai with a shot of espresso. I have to say it was THE best chai/espresso I'd ever had anywhere! It was so good that I had to grab another one "for the road". I'll be back to this intimate gem of a coffee shop whenever I'm close to Carthage. Next time I need to allow time to order a sandwich or panini too! read more
