Dropped in on this coffee house 2x during my stay in Pinehurst. First day, the cashier did not seem too interested in taking my order but ultimately took it and made a good mocha. The next day, I returned for another mocha and a different cashier was pleasant, conversational and welcoming. Added plus - she made a great mocha. On this day, added some coffee cake which was also very good. Ambiance here is very nice. Relaxing and welcome. Definitely worth a visit! read more

The coffee was good! I got the Dirty Hippie and it was really tasty and flavorful. The baristas were super nice and professional. However, as I am waiting for my coffee, I couldn't help but notice the manager or owner (?) was extremely rude to her employees about a bagel not going out. I understand mistakes happen and it can be frustrating but it was extremely uncomfortable watching her "roast" (no pun intended) her employee for a simple mistake in front of guests. There was no understanding in her tone or demeanor...instead she was grilling the poor girl and guy working instead of trying to quickly resolve the situation. Do better...a late bagel isn't the end of the world. read more

The coffee here was so so good, and they had a large variety! Their coffee station was stocked with everything one might need. They don't have a huge selelction of breakfast options, but they definitely have enough. Our food was tasty and warm when served. We loved that it is inside a beautiful used bookstore. ¡¡¡GO HERE!!! Lovely location, super friendly staff and AMAZING coffee and quiche. I had the "Flavor of the Day" latte (a riff on the oh-so-popular pumpkin spice drink) and it was a show stopper! The addition of pecan syrup and some other spice took the beverage to another level. The quiche was simply stellar. The eggs were incredibly delicate, obviously prepared in a water bath. The prosciutto, sweet red pepper and kale married perfectly with the silky eggs and all this wrapped in a flaky crust. These folks also take the time to warm the quiche in an over rather than nuking it which would cause the crisp crust to become gummy and overcook the eggs. These folks mail it! I will definitely be back every time I come to Pinehurst. read more

For a Sunday, this coffee shop was READY for business with 5 baristas working those machines so nobody had to wait very long. Plus the choices of Torani syrup was like nothing I have ever seen before. Shortbread? Brown sugar cinnamon? Endless possibilities for customizing your espresso drink of choice. If your creativity juices aren't flowing, go with a barista selection, I even read on the sign: chocolate covered strawberry (how is that for ingenuity)! I'm visiting from out of town and stopped in because this is one of the only coffee shops in the area! This converted post office turned book store and coffee shop is super cute! The coffee shop has a lot of offers and there is something to suit everyone's taste. I've come here a couple times and got a cappuccino and I also have the dirty hippie which is chai with 2 shots of espresso. I typically don't like my drinks too sweet so asked for a bit less chai and it was prefect. Honestly one of the best dirty chaos I had. There is a nice area with tables, chairs, couches and high top seating. It's good to meet with friends, so some work or just relax with a good book! A friend introduced us to The Roast Office, I loved the fact that it's such a unique place! You get to order your coffee in the Post Master Office (the sign is still painted on the door!!) and then walk around checking out the books available for purchase. If you order your drink to enjoy there the mugs are big so you get a bang for your buck. There is a meeting room you can rent out for a donation (I think the suggested amount is $20). The only negative I have encountered has been the fact that this area is predominately Caucasian so seeing a Latino family enjoying a cup of coffee threw some people off and it showed on their faces. I have taught my kids not to see skin color but people instead so seeing people react this way was new. But again this came from the patrons not The Roast Office or its employees. Would I go back? What a cute little coffee shop tucked away in an old post office building that is currently known as: "The Outpost". They have a small list of blended coffees, teas, sandwiches and pastries and their employees are great! I grabbed post lunch pick-me ups here with a girlfriend over the weekend and had a lovely experience chatting with the two ladies working the counter. This coffee shop is wonderful! Not from around this area, I went venturing for some fresh local coffee- so glad I ended up here! Walking up to the building, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was looking for an actual coffee house, so I ended up passing it a couple of times before realizing where it was. The actual "coffeehouse" portion is very small and I didn't have very high hopes, I must admit, but my redeye with a blend of Autumn and regular coffee was absolutely delicious- earthy, bold, and full of flavor. Just what I needed. The inside is very quaint and sweet- book shelves and wooden high tops, local intellectuals diligently working while sipping delicious coffee. Very quiet other than the soft modern playlist in the background (at least when I was visiting- around noon on a Wednesday). Beyond the great coffee and ambiance, the staff was SO incredibly kind. Would definitely recommend- I will be back if I'm ever in town! read more

Ordered a double cappuccino, and a regular coffee at 3:47pm, my friend had to go back in to get his REGULAR coffee 10 mins later, which than he proceeded to add creamer, which was no where in sight, went back in to tell staff, they were extremely put out that they had to bring creamer out, and said we are closing, that is why there is no creamer!
