We had the absolute best experience with our Build a Bear expert! I wish I got her name; however, we had a lot of fixings for my daughter's bear. Our Build a Bear expert was so patient, kind, personable, and explained thoroughly and did not rush us through the process which was absolutely amazing. The selection of bear options were so great that my daughter spent nearly 15 minutes just deciding which bear to build. In addition, we of course needed sound, smell, heart beat, and all of the cutest clothes. It was such an amazing experience and her patience brought such great value and made it truly the best experience. We will be back.

Very disappointed. We signed up for their online club so we could take the little ones on their birthday for the special which is you pay their age. When we got there we told them it was her birthday and they have her a crown and stickers. Never once did they tell us that the birthday special was only for one specific bear and got my niece so excited for the one she picked. It was not until we were checking out that they told us and by then her heart was set on that item she picked and dressed up . We couldn't disappoint her. This felt like a bait and switch. Then they kept trying to sell add ons on top of it and said each one in front of the birthday girl so we had to do them. They also kept saying well it's up to your mom to try to make us look bad if we said no. They also had to restock her item bc they let a new person who didn't know what she was doing complete it. So disappointed. The staff is only there to upsell.

I went in expecting to just get a little guy and go but the staff went above and beyond to make my experience at this location absolutely unforgettable. I'm soon moving away from the area I have lived in my whole life and wanted to grab a new friend to bring with me to experience this new journey in my life. Two staff members, Adriana and Kat were so, so helpful and fun to chat with throughout the entire process. I felt very comfortable with these two and got great recommendations to help customize my new friend exactly for me. I got a whole lot more than what I had paid for, because not only was the experience absolutely amazing, but also extremely memorable and I'm very grateful I will be able to bring these good memories with me to my new home very soon. I would like to thank these two again for helping me leave with a lighter heart and more confidence.

Lucy was so authentic and amazing. It was my first time at build a bear and my sons as well. I have only one four year old and I had no idea what age you do the bear/creature/bunny (they have lots of new friends other then bears) She said her son just turned four and he just got his first one, so it was perfect timing. We were kinda in a hurry, which I don't recommend. Definitely allow time and set a budget before going in there. Lucy was so helpful we will be back!

    Great experience here!

Wow! We sure had an awesome experience at this build a bear! The employees ( Oliver being one of them) were amazing! I think it's important that the store managers/their superiors know this! They could not have been lovelier people. Engaging my children and conversation, professional and made our experience fun and memorable. In all honesty, I was pretty blown away. I was not expecting this at all! I was more or less expecting a highschooler just going through the motions. I used gift certificates I got from Costco and still had a remainder so I will use the leftover in the form of a gift card when needed. I cannot recommend this particular location enough!

I always love the staff at this location. They always seem to have the most wonderful personalities. I met my name twin today! Thank you Morgan you and your coworker were amazing (I'm so sorry I cannot remember their name!) you were both Super sweet and very helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make sure everything was just right when stuffing my Ooogie Boogie. Most importantly I walked in today looking for Lock, Shock and Barrel I was so lucky to grab the lasts one on the shelf. Very happy I stepped in today!

Closed sign for a "private" party. There is now such thing as a "private" party at build a bear that can close the whole store.

Apparently this store can't seem to get their act together, or hire anybody that wants to show up for work. They closed the store, supposedly because of 3 call outs, for a large party so my niece was unable to make her birthday bear, leaving her, understandably, upset. Not to mention her great grandma is with her to try and make it special. Spoke with the manager who "attempted" to call other staff in, but this should be the job of the district manager, Darilyss, when the manager tried all of her current staff. Better yet, as a district manager, she should have shown up to help out, but heaven forbid she do anything "below her pay grade" I'm sure.... Don't waste your time or money here. Drive a little extra to go to the Buena Park or Cerritos locations. Super nice staff and they have pulled from other stores for staffing with no issues like this location seems to have. Corporate may want to revisit their training strategies for all of their management, not just lower levels, because clearly there are some major issues. Picture below. Just fyi, there is now such thing as a "private" party that can close the whole store at build a bear locations. And that's a quite directly from corporate.

My son had a great time here. After a disaster visit on pay your age day, we took him here for his pay your age bear on your birthday month and it was a breeze. Service is wonderful, very in tune with the kids and make it a fun experience for them. Store is clean and well stocked, they have a great selection and sales that offset the prices a bit. Not worth paying retail, but the kids really enjoy it and when there are sales or offers as wonderful as the birthday one, it is very well worth it.

You can do so either via QR code or traditional pen/paper/ipad. Kids, Vets, and adults all have their own pricing. Mine was $16 to enter for an adult. There are llamas, goats, chickens, bunnies, horses, and other animals about. Coming here reminded me of when I was little going to similar farms in Modestka canyon. There are opportunities for kids to ride a train, play on a horse, feed the animals, dig sand using kiddy tractors, and search for gold. I had alot of fun watching the kids play and creating memories with my little guy and his mommy. It can get hot now that the weather is heating up, so I suggest taking into consideration when you visit, bringing water/hydrating, and snacks if needed. Bring your sunscreen and hat. There are areas where you can sit and tables. 10/10

We bought tickets and signed waivers ahead of time so we were able to walk right in. In order to feed the animals, each feed plate was $6! And the plates weren't that big. Gone in 60sec. There were goats, an emu, and other animals to feed. There are also pony rides that cost more money. The kids enjoyed it. The staff were also really friendly. There is also an area to do some panning and sit on a digger. They charge for both of those. And the panning has different tiers if you want to splurge and get better rocks. One of the diggers was out of order, and the digger my son went on wasn't working properly. The guy at that station was on his phone the whole time and wasn't available to help, so that was a wasted run. Very much a cash grab. Honestly, the boutique shops and eateries around the ranch and the small park were more worth it.

We visited Kid Can Do expecting a fun, engaging indoor play space for young children, but it felt more like a restrictive, adult-supervised activity zone than a true play area. The biggest issue was the inconsistency and lack of freedom for the kids. Plenty of cupboards, covers, and storage areas were unlocked and easily accessible, so naturally the children explored them. As soon as they pulled out toys or art supplies, staff quickly took them away because they "weren't part of this week's theme." If you're going to leave things unlocked and within reach, kids are going to play with them, that's completely normal and developmentally appropriate. Instead, we spent most of our time picking up after our child and saying "no" or redirecting them. If that's the kind of experience you're looking for, this is the spot for you. If you want a place where children can actually play freely without constant intervention, look elsewhere. It also didn't feel developmentally suitable for the younger ages they advertise for. The setup created more frustration than fun, with limited open-ended play opportunities. On top of that, the cost felt excessive for what's offered. For the price, I expected more space, better variety, and far less policing of normal kid behavior. You could re-create what they offer for a fraction of what you are paying to go here for 90 minutes and have better peace of mind doing it in your own home. Save your time and money. Head to Play Pie or the New Children's Museum down in San Diego instead--both are much better options for actual play and exploration. Unfortunately, this was a waste of an afternoon for us.

Child Creativity Lab takes donated every day items (Lego pieces, empty prescription containers, bottle caps, buttons, wine corks, new popsicle sticks as well as excess items from various companies (excess fabric, plastic bottles, paint, pins, tacks, glue, zippers, etc.) and they put them together in a package so that kids can assemble them them and create a figure like a robot or animal out of all the parts. Before COVID they used to have in house workshops, but now they take the party out to the kids in city community centers, schools, etc. My friend planned a service event here so I came over to help out for a couple of hours. All the parts for the project were laid out at various stations and we went down like an assembly line and filled bags with the items to create a project-in-a-bag for each child. If I was a kid in elementary school receiving a project bag like this to put together with other classmates, I would be totally stoked. If you are interested in donating common household items for them to use, give them a call to see what they do and don't take. You can also arrange to do a service event here with your organization, they have people come in every week to help out. We need more places like this in all communities!
