first of all, what at amazing selection! there was at least 10 people when i came in and i still managed to have a section to myself and just peruse! they also gave me the impression that they were strict on accurate description of the condition of their inventory as i inspected the cards myself. second, lets talk about service. the moment you walk in, you are greeted. that tells me they acknowledge that you are there and that theyre ready if you need anything. they also had a list going on for ppl selling/trading with the shop, which i thought was a great idea so its not like a bar at a club and everyone just fighting for the bartenders attention. both the staff that worked today were extremely polite and so pleasant to deal with! the gentleman was attentive and the lady had such a great personality that never skipped a beat even when helping multiple customers! third, lets talk value. theres a reason they dont need to haggle, they know their prices. no overpriced cards just to get them down to reasonable, some even favorable pricepoints. this place is incredible and is easily one that i would highly recommend to my friends in the Lake Forest area! cant wait for my return trip when i pick up my stuff thank you Treasure Chest Collectibles! read more

great selection here!! they have single packs of SO many sets in both japanese and english, and they'll spread out a bunch of them so you can choose your fate. i didn't hit much when i bought packs unfortunately but their staff were nice and they have sleeves/toploaders if you do actually hit anything while ripping in store. from what i remember, temporal forces was $9 a pack, paldean fates was $29 a pack, and everything else was pretty close or just slightly above msrp. would come back to browse and kill time! parking was super easy too. the only pics i have are the ones i took for friends so oops HAHA read more

I've genuinely wanted to like this card shop, but after six visits over a couple of months, it's safe to say I won't be returning and will not recommend this shop to anyone. Customer service is abysmal. These guys will greet you upon entering and say thank you for coming in, but that's just basic courtesy. Car salesmen do the same thing. The owner and uncle always seem like you're bothering them and fail to check accurate market prices. Be sure to check for yourself before buying here. There was an instance where I asked how much a card was, the owner looked it up for a split second and shot off a number. I looked it up myself and the actual market price was lower. I brought it to his attention and he said he didn't fully check, he just saw the first search result and ran with it. To add insult to injury, the card was lightly played instead of near mint. THEY DO NOT LET YOU EXAMINE CARDS OUTSIDE OF THE TOP LOADER AND PENNY SLEEVE. Doesn't matter if it's a low or high value card, you're sh*t out of luck and they won't remove it themselves either. Also worth mentioning, the afternoon sun hits hard on the slab display cases everyday. The final nail in the coffin is the owner and uncle... whenever there's a sports game on the tv, they give it their attention instead of the customers in the store. The uncle also cusses loudly even with kids in the store. Like many shops, tax is charged here regardless of cash or card and some days the sticker price is final regardless of market prices. You're better off going to card shows, MM or KS. read more

My family enjoys coming to this shop for Pokemon cards! Bill and the other workers are very pleasant, kind and patient with my son's questions and seem honest and helpful when it comes to purchasing their items. We have shopped here 3 plus times, and my son and hubby always leave with a smile & are pleased with their purchases (usually box sets or single cards) Yesterday my son and I went to buy a box set and Bill and Dom were very helpful and sweet to offer my son his pick of rare cards from them, as a bonus for purchasing. Even Mom and Dad got ones to take home which was a nice surprise! My son was also gifted a cool Pokemon pin. Their shop has a very friendly "hangout" vibe, and usually seems popular in the early to mid-evenings, but low key enough to bring our littles to come in. Treasure chest is a favorite place to come to as my boyfriend and I come by every other week just to see all the cool and cute cards in the binder and cases amongst chatting with the friendly staff, you also meet other collectors. The prices for the cards are always at a great deal which is great for new collectors who are just getting into the hobby! As a bonus they often post videos and posts on their Instagram for new cards they get which always helps when you're looking for specific cards! read more

I love it here lol I think I come by at least once or twice a week just to see what new single cards they have. What I love here is they have so many binders of single cards that I can actually afford, apart from the higher value singles in the glass cases. Everyone is always so nice and as someone who just started collecting, I found this place to be very welcoming. Unfortunately they're so conveniently close to my work that I spend more time here than I should, but that's a me problem lol They have boxes and packs too if that's more your thing, but I haven't personally bought any from here. Been going here recently, prices are steep but has almost everything Pokemon related so i was buying. Until two nights ago my friend and I came by to get a couple of things when we were being stared at by the old man the whole time we were there, every time we checked he was just peeping away, even as we were walking up to the store he was just giving us a death stare through the window the whole time from our car to the front door, lol. After our fist visit it has become a new favorite. -Their selection has such a great variety from different raw cards, trainer cards, vintage & Japanese. -Vast selection of single packs, booster boxes, & ETBs. -Slab casing also contain such variety of sought out cards. At the time of this post it had been our 3rd visit to TCC and each visit we had seen different cards. -Each time we have visited, Bill has given us such a pleasant experience. DO NOT GO HERE, We had a horrible experience at treasure collectibles, dealing with who we presume to be the owner. Told us our cards were not really worth much and place them lower than any other shop had priced them out for us. Gives you the bare minimum, him knowing the difference the cards value conditions, then proceeds to talk you down to you saying that you should know more about your cards while talking down your cards value. I pointed out that one of the cards they had marked was significantly lower than the current market price, about ~$30. They appreciated the honesty and sold the card to me at the marked price anyway. I brought my son's old Pokemon cards into the shop after I had began to sort them. Upon looking at the first book of cards I had, the lady said a lot of his cards were fake. I know nothing about Pokemon but also understand that some were real. She had zero interest in helping, referring me or looking at any of the real cards. Went in with friends and bought two slabs, thinking we'd support a local shop. But the experience left a bad taste. There's zero sense of community here. After we shopped, we stood near our cars by the trees to trade cards, not directly in front of the store. The female owner came out upset, and even though we apologized right away, she came back just to tell us to close our trunk, which we had open for shade. That felt rude and uncalled for. We were just hanging out after supporting the shop. Why treat customers like that? On top of that, they're charging $90 for Labubu figures that go for $55-60. That feels like blatant scalping. It's clear they care more about making money than creating a welcoming space. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values community or fair pricing. Owner thinks he own the parking lot. Be careful visiting if you planned to. read more

Returned a month later, idk who this bro was but he came off kind of rude and said we're not allowed to look at cards out of the sleeves. Forgive me for taking a closer look at the $2 card before I made a purchase. He said this has always been a rule here, but I know that's definitely not true and no card shop in the entirety of Orange County has ever said we couldn't look. The worst experience I've ever encountered at a card shop. Was visiting from New York and had high hopes in buying from this shop due to their large selection but after only a few minutes was quickly deterred. Was asking simple questions but was getting attitude and it felt as though the owners were arguing back with me. Look at the owner's responses to other reviews and you can see this to be very true. They call themselves owners and somehow don't understand the concept of customer service. Genuinely don't understand how they think speaking to customers the way they did me is okay in the slightest. I recently got back into the Pokemon card collecting hobby late 2024 and this store has been pivotal in getting the cards I need into my hands at a fair price and relatively quickly. I usually visit during the later hours of business and the owners are always helpful when it comes to looking for cards that I need to master a set and are knowledgeable about what they keep under the glass and in their many binders. They're also very responsive and can answer any questions you have about their inventory on their social media channels. They keep a very homey vibe and even have a couch and table where I've sat and ripped several packs and even full booster boxes and the owners are more than happy to provide penny sleeves and top loaders for the hits. The prices are very fair for a brick and mortar store. They buy at 70% market price for cash or store credit on singles and sell their singles, packs, and booster boxes at market price. You won't see the "bundle discounts" or "cash-only deals" that you encounter at more transient card show booths, but I feel that the value we get as collectors from brick and mortar stores comes from having a stable source to feed our hobbies. Also, I do feel like the owners recognize their regulars and reward them with small discounts here and there. They also do card grading with PSA at $25 per card, which is a great deal when you're only sending in a few cards a time and they take care of everything. I have given them some cards for grading (including a very expensive Moonbreon) but have yet to receive graded cards as it takes a couple of months but when I do I might update this review. All in all, this store is great and I never thought I'd be a regular at a local card store but this one is worth frequenting! read more

Horrible service from the front guy with glasses. He may be the owner. We tried selling our slabs/top loaders, and as we asked to round off a slab by $2 since it was our favorite one, we were met with horrible attitude. He replied so then why don't keep you just keep it then and rudely denied buying anything from us even though he said yes to multiple slabs already!! He then rejected every single slab and top loader after that. I was honestly shocked and in disbelief that this happened. He also told a kid off for playing with a charizard plush at the couch area. We've been to so many card shops and show and talking about price is a normal thing with cards. Never coming to this store again.. you'll be met with horrible attitude. And this should never be something in the pokemon community. TLDR: it's okay to not want to buy cards from people and it's okay to say no. BUT, it doesn't hurt to be nice and respectful to people. I have been dropping by this shop from time to time for over a year; their service has been great every time, but their awesome service today prompted me to finally write a review. Product: The shop has a large selection of modern and vintage sealed product and singles, both raw and graded. If you're looking for modern, they will likely have it. Prices are very fair. They also have multiple binders outside of their display cases organized by trainers,full arts, etc. Service: The owners are very knowledgeable about Pokemon and friendly, often going above and beyond in their customer service. I was looking for 2 niche cards today that were not in their display cases; when I asked if they had them, they took the time to search their inventory and found both cards I was looking for (and offered great prices)! The shop does get busy, but they both do their best to help you out as soon as they can. Ambiance: The shop is clean, well-organized, and well-lit. It can get a little toasty during peak hours, but good vibes overall. There is a small couch and table if you need to sit or sort cards. Misc: The owners frequently post updates on instagram regarding any new inventory (singles, slabs), which is a huge plus that most card stores do not do. They also write down the prices of the cards you sell to them, making it easier to track what is being offered for each card.
