One of their workers was going door to door soliciting and dropping off flyers in my neighborhood. He came up to me trying to sell me services and I said "no, thank you" about 10 times. It escalated and I had to call the police. He refused to leave me and my baby alone. He wouldn't get off my driveway. It was awful. He started to yell at me and call me every name in the book because I didn't want any of his services. He really thought he could force me to hire him to work on my home...?! When I called 911, they told me they were the 3rd phone call they received about him. Long story short, do NOT use this company. I can only imagine what fraudulent services or sketchy behavior they must engage in. Shame on you guys for harassing and scaring a MOTHER AND HER BABY at her own home. read more

As retired seniors, we had been thinking about some small upgrades to our home -- both for esthetic and personal safety reasons. Our exterior paint had faded significantly over the last 25+ years and looked dull and boring. Inside, the kitchen and bathrooms were well worn from decades of renter abuse when we'd lived out of state, and we'd always worried about the electrical wiring and service capacity of our 1950s-era home. Normally, we ignore solicitors and flyers, but a knock on our door and brief conversation piqued our interests and we agreed to meet with Build Force Remodeling's representative the next day. Honestly, we just wanted to get an idea about how much a new exterior paint job, kitchen and master bathroom remodel might cost and if we could afford it. The following day, we met with Steve Morris and his associate, Benjamin. After showing them our kitchen and bathroom, we discussed several options regarding the scope of work, materials, etc. and finally got a cost estimate. Initially, we balked at the cost due to what we believed were our financial constraints of living on a fixed income. Steve asked about our mortgage and duration of ownership, suggesting that we might be able to refinance our home loan and use our equity to pay for the project with no out-of-pocket expenses. This brightened our outlook, and we then discussed adding a complete electrical rewiring and capacity upgrade. All in all, we determined that the expanded project was "doable", and we signed a contract. Demolition work began immediately and we were impressed with the care they showed handling our furniture and belongings. The exterior painting crew, led by "Francisco", did a fabulous job that included replacing rotted wood, patching broken stucco. We love the new Forest Green color and the "curb appeal" alone is awesome! The interior remodel work was expertly done by "Diego" who's personal attention to craftsmanship, detail, and our customer satisfaction overwhelmed us! "Shay" and his team of electricians made several helpful suggestions to the rewiring work that provided not only greatly improved lighting throughout, but also improved functional access to outlets, identified previously unknown branch circuits, and greatly increased our home's service capacity! My wife and I are thrilled with the end results and wish to recognize and commend the entire Build Force Remodeling team for their help to realize our dreams. Everyone from the project managers, construction craftsmen, office support staff, finance personnel treated us with respect and gave us their personal attention.  Build Force Remodeling has earned our highest recommendation!! read more

In response to the Build Force Remodeling reply to my review.....sigh. The gaslighting it strong with them. If they respondent had taken the time to read my review, then he would have seen that I cancelled the contract before the work had begun, so there would be no invoice or completed contract in their system. I was very clear and detailed with my review about the details. The HIS (Home Improvement Salesperson) that came to my home was Yael Rosenbaum. I have attached a short text thread from her, after my visit. I also included a screenshot showing that she was unlicensed at the time she came to my house and only got licensed as the result of me filing a claim with the California State Contractors Board. In addition, I have copies of the contract and other paperwork, yet they "have no record of me". More lies. In my initial review, I also included a copy of the letter from the CSLB confirming that BFR had committed violations, so to try and take a stance that you don't know who I am, or have any record of me, is completely nonsensical. Another lie. If this doesn't reinforce to you, what kind of a company they are, then I don't know what will. Do better. read more

I'm very pleased with my overall experience with Build Force Remodeling. Worked performed was demo of concrete pathways and installation of pavers, plus a full house repaint that included significant wood siding replacement as well as a new garage side door and frame. Staff was incredibly nice and professional...shout out to Sebastien, Steve, Kim and Natalie. Every aspect of the renovation was explained in great detail, and job was finished in well under the promised time, despite challenges with rain. Communication was great with a group text chat, and minor issues along the way were resolved quickly. Awesome that they handled all correspondence/approval issues with the neighborhood association, taking me (thankfully!) out of that loop entirely. This company turned my neglected backyard into a beautiful space to entertain guests. Jared and and Sebastion went above and beyond during our project. Rolling wasteland of dead grass, now a graded and leveled green grass oasis. From the old cracked concrete patio to an amazing paver patio. The paver guys also did the front walkway and the flower bed on the side of the driveway. New shed pad on the side of the house. Sebastion and Jared took really good care of us with every issue we had. From the first point of contact with Sebastian Adams, the Project Manager, Build Force did absolutely everything to make sure that I knew the options and costs for replacing my aged driveway. Once the decision was made for pavers, the job was started right away, finished in three days, a couple of minor issues which were handled immediately and the company followed through with everything to completion. All in all, the best experience i have ever had with any type of contractor. The estimate was very fair; the jobsite was managed very well, the end result is a job done very well, it is beautiful, and exactly what I had hoped to see after waiting 30 years. I had a flyer that I decided to call and get an estimate for repairing my back door that has been leaking when it rains and has water damage. The person they sent ( two hours late) was pleasent but no measurements, no photos, no estimate even after four days. When I texted Matt he apologized and said Andy was a trainee? (told us he was a project manager) and would send Steve or Ben (owners) next week. I am in Orange County and this company is in Woodland Hills but he said we have a Santa Ana office. I looked up the address, no construction office is listed under this address at 1611 east fourth st Santa Ana Ca 92701. So they are sending sales reps I assume and then where are the workers and materials coming from and what happens if you have an issue? I couldnt get a straight answer out of Matt, said a construction manager (Anna) was coming today but when I questioned her credentials he said I guess you want to cancel, Do your homework people. Very disruptive practices and not upfront or professional by any means. read more

PROS- -Angel my project manager was very attentive and would update me daily. Excellent communication and very organized. -Angel and/or the assistant brought delicious snacks. What other contracting company does that? The way to my heart is food. - Whenever there were any issues they took care of it right away - I got a lot of quotes and for the quality of work I received, the pricing was pretty fair and competitive for my area. - I definitely have the nicest roof on my block now. I have gotten several compliments from neighbors. - TIMELY! Wow i'm so used to projects being half done and taking forever! Even though there were some set backs (From the city not from the company) they made sure to finish everything promptly in a few days time. - Clean! I was nervous because of all the mess the roof was creating during tear down but they cleaned up everything perfectly! CONS- - Just a little pushy with sales Overall highly recommended. Both crews were professional and courteous. Clean up was outstanding. Quote was quite a bit lower than another contractor. Fantastic company! All of the interactions were highly professional. Work got started within 24 hours and they were extremely efficient. We were very impressed. They mentioned bringing Donuts on the first day (which they actually did) When my daughter saw the donuts she said "dad...they actually did what they said they were gonna do!?" Apparently even 9 yr olds expect salespeople to over promise and under deliver. But not these guys! Quality of work was great, their crews worked really hard and were very respectful. Had some exterior work done with wood and paint and termite damage. Took longer than originally expected with original estimate saying a week; took closer to 3 weeks. Build Force found some attic insulation issues while working and we had that fixed with them as well. They also got us financed into a program that got us the attic bundled with some new metal gutters for the entire house. All in all good work done with a pretty good competitive price compared to competitors. In the end the headaches related to small details being ignored until mentioned and having to point things out in the first place prevented me from giving a perfect 5 stars. read more
