I don't know how or why he came to that conclusion in our brief phone conversation, but I told him I wasn't looking for the "cheapest", I was looking for the best solution. He scheduled a visit and did some measurements and we discussed possible options. I also let him know I was interested in kitchen redesign so that I could have a bigger fridge but he didn't seem interested and just went back to the powder room. When he was done, he said it would take about two weeks for a quote but I may need to reach out to him again. I asked if he had a card and he said no, then left. That was on June 11 and now it's July 28. If a business wants my business, they would send a quote. Maybe my little job isn't worth their time because business is booming, who knows. When your gut tells you they aren't interested, listen to your gut.

The guest bathroom was one of two remaining areas in the house that have not been remodeled. Kitchen being the other room! I didn't take any pics of the original bathroom, but you can imagine a lot of ugly yellow-ish and white surfaces. The flooring was some single piece yellow vinyl. Not that the house was cheaply made, but the original materials were mostly "meh", with a lot of yellow hues. Anyway, I had a few requirements from DHC on what the new bathroom needed: 1 - More warm colors. 2 - No vinyls or linoleums. Only tiles and wood. 3 - Tub walls needed to be tiles, no plastic. 3 - Prefer black colored trims. Render #1 - Using shower curtains. Render #2 - Using sliding glass doors. We picked #2. Unfortunately, the glass doors are not yet done at the time of this review, so nothing to show yet. If I was to guess, it'd probably end up looking a lot like in the render, but that's pretty much how much we liked the end result. Communication was great, we got offline end-of-day updates just about every day. Every effort was made by the contractors to localize their work and keep things as tidy as possible. In the end, we got exactly what we wanted. The final result looked exactly like in the render, with expected deviations based on adjustments that we made during construction. These guys are the real deal!

I had Final Touch Showroom fix a solarium, which was damaged by water, with a lot of rotten wood in…read moremany places. I had another company look at this, but they would have degraded the solarium by extending the roof in a way that would have diminished the value of my house. Final Touch Showroom came in and appreciated the value of the existing setup and came up with a proposal that preserves one of the most unique parts of my house. The design met my expectations. The quality of the work was good. They did struggle a little bit on timing, but the communication was good throughout the project. Before the project was done, there was a minor water leak discovered, and they were out here the same day with a large crew and they fixed it, even though it meant taking apart a lot of what they had been working on. They have one skilled painter who has a finer eye for detail than any other workman I've interacted with. He came back multiple days because the rain was interfering with his paint job, and he redid some pieces of work that others completed in a less diligent manner. The end result is I can trust what they've done. Cost-wise, they weren't the cheapest, but they are an established business with insurance, and they do things right. And they went above & beyond expectations with design suggestions, and they threw in some vacuuming and yardwork as well to ensure the house stayed clean and the yard was presentable. Sharon and Liam were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them for a complex home remodelling project.
