Each time I walk outside my front door, I am reminded of how much money I spent in getting my front yard landscaped only to have been ripped off by what I thought was a reputable company. I would submit pictures, but I'm actually too embarrassed to even share them online. For all the time and money I invested, I should've been proud of this small project. I expressed my disappointment at the time everything was installed, but they could've cared less. Today, the plants that survived are not healthy and neither are the trees. I would NEVER recommend this landscaping company to anyone IF they want a professional job. I question whether this company actually employs licensed landscaper architects or your run-of-the- mill high school student. My pool was built in the '80s and was not up to code, it split around the perimeter halfway down the water level and I lost over 10,000 gallons of water. It used to be a 22,000 gallon pool and by talking with David and Edward, we agreed on a better repair solution, also to half the amount of water that we would need after it was finished. At this time of year in Arizona, the temperatures exceed 100° f. Their crew was friendly and respectful of property, they had to work in this horrible heat, but they had no complaints. The crew even stayed past their normal finish time so that they wouldn't have to come in the next day and disrupt me and my dogs. Throughout the entire process, Andrew kept me up to date and gave me a few more ideas on pool design. This family-run business also collaborates with other companies to ensure the process is done correctly and up to code. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the end result, now bear in mind this was a pool repair company and a pool design company, they could have finished the entire pool, but I already had a different company on standby and they completely understood. There was no pressure to finish the entire pool with their company, which to me means that they are a very honest family-run business. I would highly recommend this family business for your pool needs.

We hired Innovative for a significant landscape and pool renovation project and, unfortunately, our…read moreexperience fell well short of expectations. The project ultimately ran approximately 1 1/2 years beyond the original anticipated timeline. Throughout the process, we dealt with multiple project managers, inconsistent communication, and numerous instances where completed work had to be redone. This included portions of the tile/travertine work in both our courtyard and backyard. Many of the pieces are still cracked and chipped. We also experienced significant issues with the landscaping. Many of the plants died within the first six months, irrigation/waterlines had to be corrected, and we found ourselves making many of the plant selections rather than receiving the level of design guidance we expected. Permitting was another area that required considerable follow-up on our part, including gas permits that were never properly completed. Unfortunately, some of the issues went beyond delays and inconvenience. On August 15, 2025, drainage and grading problems resulted in flooding that caused more than $12,000 in damage. We ultimately filed a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and drainage/piping corrections were completed in November 2025. The only way to get them to repair the issues that they refused to correct and said was not part of their scope of work, even though they fully demolished and rebuilt the entire front and back landscape, was by filing a complaint with the ROC and having a demand letter sent to them. With that being said I highly recommend that you check their current standing with the Maricopa County ROC as they have one of their licenses revoked. We also experienced issues with the pool, including a significant chip in the pebble tec that required the pool to be drained and repaired, followed by the cost and inconvenience of filling it again within the first year.l, which we had to pay out of pocket for refilling of water and chemicals. There were certainly aspects of the finished project that we liked, which makes the overall experience especially disappointing. With a project of this size and expense, we expected stronger project management, communication, quality control, and follow-through. Even after the construction issues were addressed, we continued to experience difficulty with follow-through. At the time of this review, Innovative is approximately four months delinquent on a written payment agreement related to our project. I recognize that large construction and landscape projects can encounter unexpected challenges. However, the combination of the extended timeline, repeated rework, permitting and drainage issues, property damage, and ongoing follow-through concerns made this a very difficult experience for our family.

Construction continued for 2 full weeks with a variety of crew members, equipment, and vehicles to get the job done right. They worked every day from 730/8AM to 5/6. We had hired him to trim the tree later in the week, but after the windstorm he re-arranged his schedule to pull us forward earlier in the week. We really appreciated this because the tree was dangerous to our home and our neighbors. They did an amazing job on our tree, and I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of that project. In 2020, we were written up by our HOA for overgrown aloe plants. I called several companies for quotes, and I decided to go with Landscape Guy when his quote was competitive with the other offers. He did us a solid favor the year earlier with the tree, and I trusted his work. We agreed on a day for the plant removal, and his team arrived in the morning. They were courteous and very thorough. In addition to removing the aloe plants, they also blew the front yard and carted off all the debris in our yard beyond the plants that they removed. They exceeded our expectations because we weren't expecting them to clean the seed, leaves and pods that had dropped from our neighbors tree onto our property. Regardless, once again they exceeded our expectations, and we'll be reaching out to them for a third possible project.
