That excitement quickly turned to frustration when we discovered glue left on the quartz and etching on the bathroom sink. These defects were not visible during the builder's "quality inspection" -- only after we actually moved in, cleaned the surfaces ourselves, and saw them under normal daily use. When we raised these issues, Metro Stone and Granite's response was to shrug it off and blame us, insisting we should have caught it before moving in. To make matters worse, they sent out a technician who didn't even know the difference between granite and quartz, and proceeded to lecture us about how Windex can etch granite -- which is irrelevant, because we don't even have granite. This company does not take accountability, delivers subpar work, and treats customers like they're the problem. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Metro Stone and Granite is unprofessional, careless, and completely unworthy of your trust.

I'm very disappointed in my experience with Harkey Tile and Stone…read more I went to them for my bathroom remodel, worked with Terri Wheeler on design and tile choices. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until she recommended a tile installer. When we were working on measurements, Terri stated that they don't sell tiles "by the tile" they come in square feet. Technically this is correct but when trying to figure out the square feet needed for each tile, Terri kept saying that they are not responsible for measurements and the installer is responsible. Well, Terri had the measurements and did the math but when it came down to doing the deal she wanted to release her liability and I ended up ordering more tile than I probably should. Because the installer broke my tiles I had to reorder and guess what- The person at Harkey taking the order never asked how many square feet I needed. My 24 x 48 tiles came in a box of 2 and my 12x24 floor tile came in a box of 6 tiles. Getting Terri to call me back was a process, there was ALWAYS an excuse and on one call she even divulged personal information about someone at Harkey that was none of my business. I'm not sure if she felt this would soften my bad experience but it only made me question her even more. After having a very challenging and bad experience with the installer that Harkey recommended, I reached out Drew Messenger, manager, to try and get my problem resolved. At this point I was already 2.5 months into a very small and simple bathroom remodel. Drew said he would assist in getting it resolved. Well, he did to a certain point. After back-and-forth with Harkey and the tile installer I ended up having to threaten litigation to the tile installer to get my bathroom completed. I was left with a USED vanity that was improperly installed, etched marble floor, grout haze on tiles, damaged drain cover and personal items that were used and or taken from my home. During this whole process, I was also getting a quote from Harkey on installing my kitchen countertops. Terri forwarded me an email with my updated quote that was $665 over my original quote with a note in the email from Drew to "increase each at $200 each". When I asked Drew why he emailed Terri with the increase his response was "Since you retained a lawyer for your issues regarding your tile installation and threatened to use them leads us to believe you'll be happier with a different fabricator and to consider my quote null and void." Drew is right! After my experience with Terri Wheeler and Drew Messenger at Harkey Tile and Stone, I do not want to work with them on any other project and I would advise you to consider what I wrote. Definitely do not rely on them for install recommendations! Know your measurements and don't let them tell you that they don't know how many tiles come in an order because they do. The tile I purchased was "their most popular tile" so to say you don't know how many tiles come in a box is an outright lie. In addition to the lack of customer service, their prices are higher than others that I have found in the area--SAME product and better customer service.

Look over contract and pricing closely. Our opinion is to Find someone else to do your floors. Having said that the guys that actually did the job actually worked hard and did a good job. Hands down Custom Granite Solutions was the winner by far not only due to price but the fact they could do so much more than just countertops. The initial meeting was to discuss the project and how they would go about it. They offered suggestions of things we had not even considered so we were confident in their abilities from the very beginning. We made our countertop selection from one of the distributors that Custom Granite Solutions uses and waited for our slab to arrive at the warehouse. Elbert suggested that we go look at the slab prior to installation, just to make sure the color was the same as the distributor's sample. Much to our disappointment, the slab was much whiter than I had hoped. I called Elbert and he let me know the issue would be addressed. The next day he called with a satisfactory solution that got our project back on track. He went over and above what we expected to make this right. Each of the individual craftsmen (countertop and tile installers and the plumber) were all amazing. The countertop installer took his time when demoing the old countertop and backsplash. They put down drop cloths to protect our hardwood floors and cleaned up periodically during the process. We requested they try to save our cast iron sink which they were able to do saving us $700. The sink had to be cleaned due to all the adhesive from the previous install which they took to their shop and did. It turned out amazing and looks brand new. During the countertop install, the contractor showed us that the previous installer had not leveled our countertops correctly (due to unlevel floors) which was evident in the unevenness of our previous backsplash. The installer took the time to level all the countertops rather than install them as was previously done. The tile contractor was used to install backsplash that we provided. We were told upfront from Elbert what supplies to get such as the tile grout and caulk. The installer asked us what we paid for the supplies and that we could get them much cheaper from Lowe's or Home Depot which amounted to a $95 savings. We were so thankful that he took the time to ask this question and to explain the difference between sanded and non-sanded to ensure we picked out exactly what we needed for our install. He even offered suggestions as to the grout color by showing us pictures of previous jobs he had done. Just like the countertop installer, he took his time in making sure everything was done to perfection. The plumber was great as well. He made a few suggestions regarding the kitchen faucet such as not installing the cover plate for a slicker look which we love. Lastly, all the contractors cleaned up at the end of their installations. I am a clean freak and only needed to mop when they left. This really helped with our hectic schedules. We are so thankful that each of these contractors treated this project like it was their own home. That says a lot about this company's reputation. We were on the hunt for some new patio furniture and Kasbys was on our list to visit…read more We actually found a piece of furniture that we loved, but unfortunately we did not end up supporting Kasbys. Just a couple things of note: 1. When we visited the store, I asked for a quote on the piece we loved. It was clear the associate was questioning how to enter in this piece as it was new for this year, mostly questioning what seat padding goes with it. Of note, to give me the quote she asked for my phone number, and actually stated it was just used for the quote but they would not be calling. 2. I called back as I wanted a different fabric that was quoted, and the person who answered the phone noticed the seating was inputted incorrectly. Luckily he was knowledgeable and corrected it. Who knows what would have happened if I went through my original order. 3. Kasbys advertises on social media lowest price guaranteed. I actually inquired about this as I found the same exact piece at 20% less with another small business. They came down slightly, but still not enough to support Kasbys. 4. After my inquiry on pricing, I ironically received a couple followup calls for my interest on ordering the piece. While we ended up buying the piece from another business, which is now bringing us much joy, I point out my review as Kasbys could have earned our business with some improvements.

He bombards you with his political beliefs, his enjoyment of shooting, the reasons he left New York (he didn't want to live with their ammunition limits) and the projects he has going on at his property. The most recent visit we were trying to order new cabinetry for a kitchen remodel. After I declined his offer to go in the back room to look at the cabinets he bought for his kitchen he got rude. He was so unhelpful and condescending-He didn't want to help with the layout, he didn't want to give me a visual rendering and finally said he would pass me off and they MIGHT be willing to give a rendering but only one. We took our business elsewhere and spent more money on cabinetry to avoid the hassle of dealing with him. Right on the desk it says they help design. What's the problem? He's rude. He makes me uncomfortable.

They have several difference option on the stains and designs. They mainly deal with contractors and condo renovators, so they do not delivery. It is pick up for yourself only. But there is a UHAUL rental right down the road, which rents trucks for about 25-30 a day. Bottom line, you can get good quality cabinets cheaper than pretty much anywhere else around town, but it more of a do-it yourself-er place.
