I used to be a supporter of the police - son if 2 govt agents, but now, in my most law abiding years, something has changed with them, you lost your donations and respect is hanging on by a thread. Sterp slope back to front, wet and wild grass soaked my feet but I didn't mind. I had a wonderful chat with a woman who had been to many places I've been, up and down the coast. After about fifty minutes, we picked up and left, continuing our walk around the dog park, it was quite beautiful - blue grass is a real think, albeit not exactly blue.

I know you can pick them up at Feeder's Supply, because that's where we got Batman's. There's also a list of rules to check out online, and it's important to do that so you know that you are following them, and to ensure your pets' safety and offer them, as well as the other pets and owners, the best experience at the park. If you're looking for a spot to take your best friend, Cochran Hill Dog Run makes for a perfect day date!

I loved my visit to Bernheim Forest! I can't believe how long it took for me to visit…read more I visited on a sunny, 75 degree, Saturday afternoon. There was a good amount of people but it didn't feel crowded. There first stop was a little gift shop with and information desk, snack bar, and bathrooms. From there the trail to the forest giants was super easy to follow. After walking to the giants, I drove the path to see the Tin Man and canopy walks. I love how accessible all the big attractions were and how beautiful the forests are. It's worth stopping in if you're visiting the area or a local!

Bernheim is one my husband's and my favorite places to get away from it all and enjoy being with…read morenature. After an unusually cold winter, we recently had a day warm enough day to return to Bernheim, and we chose a shorter trail due to time constraints. We hiked the Knob Top Trail and really enjoyed the peacefulness on the trail (we saw no other people on this trail today). The Knob Top is not one of the more popular trails, but we really enjoyed it. It is rated by Bernheim as "Difficult," but I would say it is moderate. It can be hiked as an in and out (this is what we chose to do) or as a connector between "Two Ponds Loop' and "Lake Nevin Loop." It is a short trail, only 0.5 mi in and 0.5 miles out. The terrain is packed dirt, and as expected, included tree roots, rocks, mounds, ruts, and other obstacles. The hike is a gradual incline to the top (Inspiration Knob) where there is a pretty, green, decommissioned water tank. This was a perfect, short hike to ease into hiking season! It is amazing that people in our community have stepped up so that we can have this area for us and the dogs. They have been updating it for years, and it just continues to get better. I personally like the fact that they require current Rabies, DHPP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines and that they keep track of everyone who comes in with the FOB system. It's incredible to me that I can walk the paths and feel totally safe while my dogs run and play off-leash!

This one is a bit farther…read morefrom the highway than Beckley Creek, but offers dynamic scenery, with a "sky meadow" that lives up to the name and an old silo made into an observation tower. Like everything at these parks, the tower is open to the public and free, without any hassles. The water pressure at some of the fountains was a little weak, but overall the presence of free and clean facilities is an asset to anyone in the greater Lousiville area, as so much of Kentucky is either pretty but not open to the public or open but without any manmade improvements.

Like broad run turkey run does offer very cool walking trails and breathtaking views. While they don't have a splash ground or traditional playground like broad run they do have a great area to relax in front of the brown foreman silo. Which is a unique attraction itself as you can climb up there and take in all the views from high above. Like most parks and things to do in the parklands park system you can't really go wrong with whatever you choose to do. Loads of family fun to be had.

I love the convenient location of this park from our hotel. This dog park is much larger than other dog parks I've visited with my dog. It also has separate areas for large and smaller dogs, which I appreciate. The one negative aspect of this park, as compared to others, is that there aren't any toys or structures for the dogs to play on. There's one tiny fire hydrant on the larger dog side, but that's it. Both the large and small dog sides offer water fountains for humans and dogs. The fences are also lined with plenty of bags and trash cans for picking up poop. Although, people seem to forget to do that pretty often at this park. The park is open 24 hours, and is usually pretty empty.
