When I brought in the laptop Diego got my phone number and texted me about the results of the diagnostic and counseled me on possible upgrades. At first I thought this place was amazing. I cracked my iPhone screen and they fixed it quickly for pretty cheap. A couple days later my phone kept turning off. I thought it was the battery, so I took it back to them & they installed a new one. The phone worked fine for a couple days, then wouldn't turn on for more than 1 minute (even when plugged in). I relented and took it to the iPhone store. They were able to fix it, and cautioned against taking it to people who were not trained by iPhone. Prior to this experience I would have disregarded that advice, thinking that Apple was trying to bump their profit (of course, they were more expensive than this shop). But I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that it prevents others from going through the hassle & cost I went through. read more

I had a great experience using Bull City Mobile Repair to get my iPhone screen repaired. They were friendly, fast, and super convenient. I didn't have an appointment and I was the only person there so the guy was able to fix my phone in under 20 minutes. The price was slightly more than I've paid in the past, but I'm willing to pay more for professionalism (that being said, I once met a guy at a McDonalds to fix my screen who cut himself and ended up bleeding everywhere). The space is open and inviting and their location makes it convenient if you need to drop your device off and run other errands. I went by the store today, and while the guy in store quoted me a higher price ($10 more) than via yelp, I showed him my yelp quote and he honored it. My iPhone screen repair was completed in 30 minutes and he didn't try to upsell me on any repairs or accessories that I didn't need or want. Saw the high reviews and thought I'd give them a try replacing my phone battery that was no longer holding a charge. I called and the gentleman quoted a price that was $15 less than a business in Raleigh. He said they were out of the battery, but they should get some in stock within a couple hours. Two hours later I got a call letting me know the battery was now in stock and we could bring the phone in. At the store, a gentleman different than the one who quoted the price checked us in and said the cost would be $10 more than originally quoted. I thought hey, at least it's still cheaper than the store that's a good 1/2 hour drive away, right? So we leave the phone to have its battery replaced, kill time, come back and upon checking out they recognize the pricing mistake and only charge us the original cost. I dropped my iphone in water. Tried all methods from keeping it in rice bag and opening it to dry it out. None of them worked. I went to this place to find out if there is anything to be done. Ritchie did free diagnostic and explained me clearly what the problem is like what parts are damaged and is it worth to repair or not. Unfortunately in my case my phone is very bad with corrosion to connectors, chips (he showed the damage in my phone) that it is not worth to be repaired. Ritchie was extremely helpful and honest when I brought my Galaxy S6 in after it fell in some water. He was up front about the extent of the repair it would need, the cost of the repair, and why it would need that repair. He also explained how water damages phones which was really useful knowledge. When I decided against the repair and got a new phone instead, Ritchie let me stay at the shop to transfer everything from my old phone using one of his temporary batteries. After I shattered the glass on my Galaxy S6, I called Bull City Mobile and asked about the price to replace the glass. He quoted me a number far less than others, so I immediately went to the shop. When I arrived he admitted to me that he had misheard me and thought I was asking about a iPhone 6s and the repairs for my phone were going to be more expensive. But knowing that he has mis-quoted me, he offered to do the job at-cost. He could've easily just brushed off the mishap as an honest mistake and charge me for the service but he made things right for me. I went in to have my iPhone 6 screen repaired on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Richie greeted me as soon as I arrived and we discussed the issue with the phone as well as its history. Once Richie started working on iPhone, he discovered the culprit of the cracked screen; the battery had started going bad thus swelling which caused the screen to crack.
