This was a good place when it was around. Recently it was posted that it was closed. I drove by there yesterday and today to make sure. As far as customer service is concerned, they were nice, fair and polite. If I had a problem with something I bought, I could exchange it or get credit. Many items I noticed were knockoffs, but it's what they get, and they try to price it fair. Lower than retail. However, they did get expensive and big name products and sold them for extremely low prices. I bought the Philips Norleco 9733 shaver during the pandemic, which normally retails for almost $300, and I got it for $40. Brand new, never used, and it came with everything including extra blades. Still works great. Some stuff were opened items like furniture, washing machines, dryers, stereo equipment, housewares, etc. It's 50/50. You take a chance. It may or may not work. The parking was OK. It was small. Anyway, bummer that this place closed, just like many places in Simi Valley. But there are similar businesses outside Simi, but you're going to have to look on the maps to find them. read more

Although the Auctions stopped in July, I was an avid bidder/winner since its inception. Always a fun time on Wednesdays watching the clock wind down with your winning bid!! I purchased a pallet from one of their auctions for 10 TV's, paid $876. I also rented a UHaul for $55 and storage unit for $60. My intent was hoping there would be at least one working tv that maybe needed a remote or a simple fix and would put the remaining tv's in a storage unit until I could figure out what to do with them considering I didn't know the condition they'd be in. Prior to the auction, I went to view the pallet twice (once brought my mom for another opinion) to figure out if I wanted to bid on it or not. As you can see with the photos there isn't anything indicated on the boxes that states that they are broken, they were all in their original boxes and the boxes were in somewhat decent shape. Now I realize I should have been concerned that they were laying flat and stacked on top of each other, but I had absolutely no idea that the outcome would have turned out like it did. You are not allowed to open or touch the boxes, you can only view it. So I did my due diligence prior to bidding. Well, after picking them up (they make you sign releasing them of any liability before they give you the pallet- BEWARE) I transported them to the storage unit and took them one by one to my home to test them out. Let me point out that they weren't small so there was A LOT work involved in this. After testing all 10 I found that every tv had a broken display. 90% of the value of a tv is the display and nobody gets it fixed because it's more economical to buy a new one. Display's are very expensive, somewhere around $400 which is more than the price of some of these tv's new. I was VERY upset because I basically paid $876 for trash! All that work for trash. And they new they were broken but still auctioned them off. An employee told me that they sort through all the new merchandise and sort out where it goes. The stuff that's worth selling they put in their showroom or send to Chatsworth, Camarillo or Valencia. Whatever is left goes to auction. So they examined the tv's to see if they could sell them in their showroom or not. A side note, when I brought my mom to view the pallet she pointed out about 4 or more pallets with tv's just like this one that weren't being auctioned. My mom suggested to wait and see what happens with this auction (see how much it goes for) and consider bidding on one of those pallets when they get auctioned off. Well, they never were auctioned so my assumption is that they worked and they sold them in their showroom. I went to Bulldog and spoke to their auctions manager about this and I'm absolutely disgusted with how dismissive and unprofessional she was about the situation. She told me that they're sold for parts and that she has regulars who buy these for repair. She was rude and reluctantly offered a store credit but would not give me my money back. So what they do is get your money and refuse to give it back and with this situation it was very shady how they got my money. She wouldn't provide any documentation of a credit so I'd have nothing to show that I returned the tv's and told me not to come back and they'd call me. I was very upset about all of this so I went directly to my bank and disputed the charges. In addition I posted a negative review here in Yelp warning others of this scam and received a very nasty e-mail (from an anonymous sender claiming to be her manager) with accusations that were completely untrue. I was accused of not viewing the pallet prior to bidding which I did twice to be accused of a lier. There was absolutely zero professionalism from both managers. I was threatened that they would dispute the reversal of charges with my bank because of the review. Their leverage was the fact that I signed that document before they'd release the pallet which released them from any liability. Keep in mind they charge your card immediately after the auction so if you sign the document or not they will keep your money, you just won't be able to pick up what you paid for. Because of this I deleted the review but now that everything has been resolved with my bank and I've been refunded my money, I decided to post the review again warning others of this so they don't experience the same problem. Also, they have the same policy when you purchase items in their showroom, if you take it home and it doesn't work, they will not give you your money back and will only issue a store credit. Moral of the story is unless you are willing to spend your money on the possibility of it being trash and worthless without the possibility of a refund, you may want to reconsider and shop elsewhere. I just recently discovered Bulldog Liquidators in Camarillo and have been swinging by store now on a regular basis, because I always find something interesting at a price way too good to pass up. In speaking with nice fellow bargain hunter there, I learned that there was also an auction side to the business, which I wasn't aware of. I started checking it out online and discovered an upcoming auction for a unique opportunity to purchase some very high quality fitness equipment at a women's gym, that had sadly gone out of business during the pandemic. I had been in the market for some time for an elliptical, pilates reformer and spinning studio cycle. They not only had all of these items, but also fortuitously in the best brands, so I shot down to Glendale in person to inspect these intriguing listings for myself. A very friendly and helpful building manager gave me the lowdown on the prior gym, explaining that everything was available to be tested out. In doing so, I soon found that nearly everything in this high end "women's only" fitness gym, was of top quality and in working condition. I made a list of everything I definitely wanted to bid on, took my own photos, (though Bulldog Auctionz does a remarkably thorough and accurate job of this already), and made sure to ask about parking logistics the days of pickup post auction, especially as the location was literally downtown Glendale. Long story short, come auction deadline day, I was able to purchase and finally own some very excellent pieces of fitness equipment I've long been wanting for home personal use, however could never afford at market retail or even refurbished prices. Thanks to Bulldog Auctionz very unique offering this day, I was very fortunate indeed to save a ton of money in these important investments. The two individuals who run Bulldog Auctionz services couldn't have been more professional, personable and overall kind the days I went to pickup my items. They helped me in every way imaginable, make it as positive and personable an experience as I could have asked for. And I will say, as ecstatic as I am about alas being able to workout at home in a new mini-gym, that these two people were actually the highlight of my very first Bulldog Auctionz experience! I've been bidding on items for a long time now and have only positive experience to report. If you are going to bid on items, just remember that these items are open box returned merchandises, most of the time they work just fine, but sometimes there are missing pieces and parts, so just keep that in mind when you bid. If you live close by, I would suggest you go and check out the item, they let you view it before you bid on it. Also, remember there is a bidder's premium and sales tax to the total amount. Overall the people working there are friendly and helpful and they are very responsive to your request. Once I called because I was very close by and it was closing time, one of the girl that worked there actually stayed after hours so that I can pick up and not have to drive back the next day. read more

So 5 months later I get a response from the company on here. I want to make state, I'm no way "clearly plugging another company". I am a legit user on yelp and had a terrible experience and read similar reviews as well. I reached out to the company multiple times before submitting my review. I still haven't had a response from those attempts either. It is clear from the amount of complaints this "anomaly" is more than such. Seems like it happens quite often. This place is a joke. Everything I have purchased is either broken or missing parts. They should check and see if something at LEAST plugs in and turns on. How hard is that? Both the Camarillo, and this location really suck guys. Steer clear, unless you want broken items that they won't return saying "you should have previewed".. No thanks. I will stick with reputable stand up auction houses that actually take 30 seconds on each item to see if A: all items are in the box, (or noted), and B: they frickin' turn on. UNFORTUNATELY this place sells mostly broken/second hand crap that has already been returned due to being defective or just plain junk. Its a little worst then a thrift store in that you might get lucky on an item however you might overspend due to the other 10 things you purchased that do not work and are now rendered useless. This however isn't even the biggest scam of the company. They frequently mismark and false advertise via their item descriptions through the auction. They do give you the opportunity to preview the items. However this week I had gone in to get my items (already paid for and previewed) and two of them were "stolen or missing". The two items: A GoPro and a 30lb bag of Dog Food They admit the 30Lb bag of dog food walked off but not the camera? They deny the camera was ever there, even though it says it in the description and I had seen it personally with my own eyes in the preview a week before. They kept my money and of course could not give me an item they did not have. I was in a lose lose and had spent more than a few hundred a week there. Ultra Disappointed. I will no longer waste my money here and I suggest you dont as well until they make some changes. read more

I have used them over 10/15+ times. They were pretty good about pickups. The one bad instance is described below in first review. Thus I stand by the original review but updated to average my overall experience. Per my recent invoice of 9/9/16, updated pickup times for Thursday's auction is Friday 9am to 3:30pm. Sat 9/10 9am to 2pm (Posted Yelp hours say they are closed). They were great if another day to pickup was needed, call to arrange. In original, I mentioned the 'As Is' comment because it is up to the buyer to preview the items. Items are returns for whatever reason so if one doesn't check (preview) the item, it is the buyer's responsible to see condition and if they work. I have found deals here thus the number of times I used them. I recently used them in early Sept again after they unblocked my account due to the previous yelp review. As I didn't see their reply, I thought they have never contacted me regarding my wasted drive and no explanation was ever provided. Next time, I am taking a photo of their posted sign with a timestamp. I still stand by that I drove there before I closing time of 3 pm, definitely not on Sat. Approx. 2:30pm on a weekday. I highly recommend that you call ahead (818-341-1101) to ensure they are open. Their comment about being busy is valid but the only time I didn't reach them the incident via phone, the incident happened. In the number of times, I purchased items from them. I believe only 2, maybe 3 times, an item wasn't found. They supposedly credit your next invoice but who remembers. In once instance, I pointed out to them that their descriptions and item numbers were misaligned. They are very good about correcting this errors but another time the photo and description were misaligned and I ate $5 buck on a pillow. I sent an email but no change. I have purchased tons of items from here, the store and the auction. I have gotten 7 sewing machines, one needed slight repair but I youtubed it and fixed it myself. 3 fans, a beautiful beach cruiser, 3 sets of cushions for patio chairs, bed pillows, bed sheets, a hair dryer and the store always has inexpensive cruelty free cleaning items. Some items I've gotten have had some issues, but you can go and view the items up for auctions beforehand so this won't happen. The store and auction staff are always so friendly! And if you have a well behaved pup they can go too. I check the auction every week because they are always putting up new great items! I definitely recommend them to my friends and family! Bulldog lets you carefully examine any item before you bid. If you are not satisfied it's really your own fault. I have spent over a $900 on items. My experience is that you can find great deals, but sometimes the items will be damaged, broken, missing major parts, or not able to be repaired. One aspect that I really enjoy is the bidding. You feel like you are on Storage Wars! Every time I bid I yell "YUUUPP!". I purchased several drones some were broken, but 1 looked brand new. I believe some of the items are returned items from Costco. Since the items are returns you should bid accordingly. The items can be damaged, broken, or it could simply be the packaging was damaged on route to the store, so the store returned the item to the manufacturer. The pictures they take are not the best, but they have to take hundreds of pictures so it is understandable. The employees are nice and very helpful. One thing I really recommend is to NEVER bid on anything you have not personally inspected. The second thing I recommend is to NEVER get in a bidding war on any item EVER. I really wish they would allow you to inspect the items over the weekend. Inspecting during the week is incredibly inconvenient. read more

I love these online auctions! They are sooo addicting and you will find unique items as well as everyday items! Pros- You usually have a week to go through the items online and search for what you are interested in. They show pictures and descriptions of the item. Then you can go to the warehouse and look at those items that you liked to see the condition they are in. Online they will usually put like new or broken or missing pieces, but it is always best to check the items out first. There's usually bundles of different things which makes it more fun and a better deal. The people at the warehouse are always super friendly and usually offer some sort of sweet snack. Cons- It can be time consuming as there are usually hundreds of things up for sale per auction. So to go through all of them is a lot. Also when the auction ends you need to be there till the end because you can easily get out bidded last minute. It's usually best to put your max bid on there so you don't have to be there till the end of the auction. It's all done through the website and not through an app so your page needs to be refreshed quite often which can cause you to lose your bid. Most items are used or have been opened and everything is sold as is. #4476 read more

UPDATE: Since my initial review of the problems I encountered with a missing item I won, I have since been contacted by Bulldog. They were very professional and apologized profusely for what happened with my missing item. Understanding that they are growing their auction business into Ventura county, I feel that they certainly deserve a second chance. I have changed my rating to reflect their concern and customer service with this issue. Thanks Bulldog! Just for reference, my initial review is below. They recently started auctions at their Camarillo, CA location. This past week I bid on, and won, four auctions. When I went to pickup my items they had everything sorted out in the warehouse so it was easy for the workers to find. As they looked for my items they couldn't find one of them. Of course it was the one item I really needed. They looked again and said it was probably given to someone else. That seemed odd as each item had an auction number attached that corresponded to the invoice. The worker seemed pretty unconcerned about it and simply marked my invoice to be refunded for the item. Needless to say I wasn't pleased. In retrospect I think I know what happened. The item I won was a $250 office paper shredder won for $56. The photo in the listing showed what appeared to be a brand new, boxed shredder with the auction number tag. However, the description was incorrect and certainly not worthy of the bid amounts it reached. Mind you, I was only one of many who bid on the item so my guess is they too were looking at the shredder. My guess is they noticed the mistaken description and pulled the item out after the auction was done. Possibly thinking they could sell it for more. Of course, I can't prove this but the explanations given to me by the warehouse guy just doesn't hold water. He also didn't say how long it would take to get my refund either. read more

I've been buying in local auctions for over a decade and this auction company is great to deal with. They're very organized, have clear pickup hours, and everything is packaged very neatly. I'm a regular bidder (1639) and have never had an item go missing (which has happened with every other auction company in town). Generally items are in really good shape but it can be hit or miss... but that has nothing to do with Bulldog and is the main risk of buying anything in this type of auction. Everything comes as-is and occasionally something will be broken or missing parts - which you have to take into account when bidding. That's why you'll sometimes score a MAJOR deal and other times end up with a dud item. I don't buy any electronics unless I know how to repair it (or the cost to repair), for example. Sometimes I'll buy two of the same item assuming one will be damaged or broken. They do a decent job with descriptions especially given the variety of products they're dealing with and sorting through every day. It sometimes takes a little research and looking at photos but if you're willing to put in the time, it can really pay off. read more
